This is the standard crap you get at every airport. The only thing worth buying is a parfait and soda. Sandwiches are crap.

Yesterday I drove for 4 hours to get to the Kansas City Airport starting at 3am. I had no place to stop to pick up a meal to eat at the terminal. What I thought was going to be a disaster in hunger turned out to be the perfect mishap. Wolfgang Puck saved me. Once my baggage was checked & I was scanned, I walked into the terminal to wait for a while. I wasn’t even hungry yet, but I decided to visit the no-line little kiosk which held a delightful assortment of sandwiches & salads. In fact the selection was so good & the prices so reasonable, I had a really tough time deciding. I asked for the staff’s recommendations & they told me the ham or chicken sandwich was the most popular. Well, maybe in Missouri, but I decided a more Californian option– the roast beast with bleu cheese. I thought I’d hold onto it to indulge in during a very tiny part of my 7-hour trip home, but no such luck. It looked too good to pass up. I ate it while watching other passengers watch really bad tv. It was truly a perfect sandwich– thick & full of all the right flavors & on fabulous bread. I went back & got another for the flight & also an extra to eat later on in the day. My second beef sandwich was just as good as the first & the ham was also really great. The salads looked excellent, but I was afraid it wouldn’t be enough as I’m a girl with an appetite & it only gets bigger when I’m travelling. If you find yourself in the Kansas City airport, don’t go upstairs for pizza or tacos, head to the terminal & get Puck’s. It’ll make a lousy trip great or an already fun trip even better.

All things are interconnected. As an example, take airline schedules. Our flight from Kansas City to Oakland was delayed by weather conditions in Baltimore. For two hours. We had already passed through security, and we knew it could be seven hours before we would see food in San Francisco. Fortunately, we noticed Wolfgang Puck, on the secure side of Terminal B, near gate 31. We bought a ham and cheese sandwich, a chicken Caesar salad with grated cheese, and a 25 oz. bottle of Vasa water for $ 19.72.
