I loved this place. Food was delicious. We ordered the grilled octopus, baked clams, chicken rollatini, seafood pasta and wine. The grilled octopus was my favorite, it was soft and juicy. Our waiter was very nice and attentive. Can’t wait to go back!

Booked a private party here. They could not have been more accommodating. Tina helped us and set everything up perfectly. We had dinner and then a huge section of the roof deck. The food was great, it’s an amazing space, and everything was on point. Thank you!

2016 Gets off to a great start at Il Bacco My wife and I decided to celebrate my birthday at our favorite Queens restaurant… Il Bacco. Although the weather was cold outside it is always warm and festive at this spectacular Italian Palazzo restaurant. Mauritzio, the dapper and welcoming general manager led us to a table with a great view of the main dining room. We began our festive meal with a prosecco toast and a fabulous plate of hot peppers and cheese. We were then served a perfectly made caesar salad, and a chilled shrimp cocktail plate. For our entrees we were served a rack of lamb with mixed vegetables and potatoes, and an awesome Osso Bucco plate with potatoes and vegetables. The delicious meat literally fell off the bone. We took a short intermezzo to sit back and enjoy another spectacular evening at Il Bacco. We then were served a beautifully plated dessert tray with italian cheese cake, flourless chocolate cake, and terra misu with freshly whipped cream. We each had a delightful iced cappuccino and left fully satiated and joyful Kudos to Joe, Mauritzio, and the excellent wait staff at Il Bacco. A great restaurant for intimate dinners, parties, celebrations and events. Mangia

If you’re a true Italian who has been eating home cooked Italian meals by your grandparents or parents you know that it is not easy to go out to eat Italian food but Il Bacco is the only place I can go to and truly enjoy an all Italian meal. The food is absolutely delicious!!! They only serve the best, including the best olive oil, cheeses, bread, wine, and desserts. Great service, great people. The owners and managers and the nicest most humble people. I had my engagement party there. The quality of food for the price they offer is remarkable. The roof top is beautiful and the bartenders are awesome. Can’t wait to go back and enjoy a delicious meal with a glass of wine surrounded by awesome people!

Ate here, again, with same group and I have to say the food did not taste good at all. Left disappointed. Service was good.

Ideally I’d like to give this place 3.5 stars. I came here last night with a group of 8 on a Wednesday night at 6:30. Food: the food was good, some things way better than others. The apps/pizza were 4 – 5 stars and the entrees were more like 3 stars. We got the caprase appetizer(fresh mozzarella with grilled tomorrow and pesto) this was really good. Also got the grilled octopus special, which was also very good. The mesclun salad was also great. We also ordered 2 pizzas which were good, and would recommend. I feel where they really fell flat were the entrees. I got the fresh papradelle with asparagus/shrimp in a white wine sauce. First of all the pasta was definitely not fresh. I know what fresh papradelle tasted like and this was not it. It was very undercooked(way more that aldente), was stiff and reminded me of egg noodles. The shrimp was bland and had no seasoning. The asparagus was cooked to death and was very mushy. It was by no means inedible but not what I was expecting considering how nice this place is. Many of my companions got fish dishes, which looked good and well seasoned. However, they all got the same sides(no options for sides), which was overcooked broccoli/cauliflower/carrots and literally 2 pieces of potato. Service: service was mostly very good. No major complaints and our head server was very nice. Décor: this is a gorgeous restaurant, no doubt about that. A nice old school Italian vibe. Overall I think where they are lacking is the entrees. With a little tweaking it could be a true 5 star restaurant.

I booked my fiancé’s surprise 30th birthday party at Il Bacco and they exceeded every expectation I had! Our guests were raving about how great the food and service were. The staff catered to our every need, not to add their bartender was amazing and made delicious drinks! Tina and Maurizio were excellent, and so helpful throughout the planning and the evening of party. I will definitely have another event here!

Wow, went here on Saturday night. We arrived around 9pm and weren’t seated till about 9:30pm. First off, be prepared to wait on the weekend very busy. but it is well worth it! They provided warm breads for the table. We started off with two orders of baked clams — delicious and the sauce was fabulous! Keep in mind there are only six per order. We also got the white wine mussels. It was good for two people to share, no more than that. My entrée was the rigatoni bolognse. Pasta was cooked to order, the sauce was perfect — not too meaty, not to saucey! I forget what the others had(I believe one had a stuffed filet of sole special, and two chicken dishes) We all loved it. We shared a dessert platter which had some fruits, mini cannoli and biscottis. Reasonably priced. I loved the interior design and the high ceilings. Lots lots lots of tables, on the louder side. Didn’t bother us but just keep in mind for a Saturday night. Good bar area.

My friend had her wedding here over the summer! What a beautiful ceremony on the gorgeous roof top bar. I have dined here many times. The food is delicious and the service is great. Hanging out at the bar is also fun and the bartenders are entertaining!

Great place, good food, wine and service, but drawback on a busy night is noise! They manage to handle crowds well and there is a carrier with some separation in the middle of the dining room. But you come to eat and drink. And place is worthwhile. House wines are delicious(Cabernet Sauvignon). We had minestrone soup, Caesar salad, swordfish, black linguini and the chicken special, with tartuffo, coffees and one apéritif. Superb. Great service. Our party was treated well. Suggestion: come on a weeknight to experience true potential. The owner will greet you, get you seated immediately(if you reserved). Look forward to eating here again.

I gave this place a four star rating because the décor was fabulous and the food was pretty darn good. The waiter had sort of an attitude. Really though, these people went all out on the building, paintings, and all the nice little intricacies that make it a nice place to sit and enjoy some nice Italian dining. We were not dressed super snazzy at all and the host was still EXTREMELY friendly, and I loved that. I’ll be going here again.

Are you a regular? If not stay away. Special customers get seated immediately while the rest of us wait. Then the maitre d has the nerve to say they had a reservation. That’s funny because they don’t take reservations, unless you’re a regular. Get the idea. Food is good but there are so many good Italian restaurant that take reservations even if you’re not a regular. It was my first time and it will be my last time.

«Hospitality» can be lost these days, but has found safe refuge here. It does not matter if it is your first visit, or your hundredth, the staff make you feel right at home, warm, welcoming and friendly. The food is superb… Just go, you will be happy. And the added bonus? A beautiful rooftop terrace… Complete with a bar and pizza oven. What better way to spend a summer evening? Or any other… First class all the way. Perfect for a quick dinner at the bar or hosting your special event.

The chicken basically came running out of the kitchen still alive and onto our plates. Since it was about 9:30 at night and the lighting is dim(on the roof top), we could not see we were about to eat RAWCHICKEN. It was probably the most DISGUSTING thing I have ever bitten into. The waitress was kind and offered us a free drink(SURE that will compensate for the potential salmonella poisoning). They threw the kabobs back on the grill and returned the food to us– PRETTYMOUTHWATERING, RIGHT? We were charged for the succulent food. We told the owner/manager about the experience and he could not of cared any less, he offered us an insincere apology. We headed outside and the valet guy, I mean mario andretti, recklessly brought us our car. On the upside, the rooftops area is pretty.

Came here several times. There’s nothing special about the food. But some people come here not only for the food. It’s more coming to a family place. Everybody here are friendly and treating you like«real» family. My favorite is their pizza. I tried the Nutella, caramelized onion with prosciutto and other two pizza which I can’t remember the name but they’re good too. I’d come back for their pizza specially the Nutella pizza!

Me and the wife were out and about and decided to try some place new for a bite. WOW, the outside does not do the place justice… It is HUGE inside and has several floors including a rooftop outdoor garden area. I decided to read the reviews after they seated us but before I could, they brought out noshies like olives and pickled cauliflower along with bread. Next was the reading of the specials. I chose the striped bass with scallops and a lemon butter sauce — it was fantastic, best fish dish I ever had. The fish was fresh and flaky while the scallops were opaque and perfect. My wife had baked penne with eggplant and mozzarella. She said it was great. People that post poor reviews must not be foodies like us. This restaurant is one I will definitely be back to. It is well worth it.

Celebrating a belated Mother’s Day at this restaurant was a great call! Living out of town, I gave not been here in years, but I still felt like family. The staff takes their lead from Joe(the owner) who treats everyone like family. So be prepared to be treated great, enjoy a well appointed dining room with a comfortable atmosphere and no rush attitude, and most of all… enjoy the fabulous food. Everything was fresh and tasty. Our meals included veal, a standby favorite, shrimp scampi, classic with a nice butterfly presentation, and a fish special with chopped shrimp and scallop topping(our favorite). It’s a great neighborhood spot… you can’t go wrong here! Enjoy!

Bartender was great, felt a little uncomfortable but order a salad and received it wrong after making some custom changes. But overall simple Italiano food is never wrong. Love this place

Il Bacco is consistently the best Italian restaurant in the Bayside — Little Neck area. The meats, pastas, breads, fish and sauces are always fresh. The quality of the food, the service, and their hospitality is second to none. They also make delicious desserts; the italian cheesecake is the best Ive had — and that includes the italian bakeries in Manhattan! Update — I had my favorite special the other night — the stuffed jumbo shrimp with crab & lobster meat in a marechiara sauce, Cavatelli on the side in the same sauce. It was amazing as usual!

Warning: This is not a foodie review so if that’s what you’re looking for, stop now or forever hold your peace. I came here for drinks on a Thursday night in the summer. I’ll admit, I’m a bit ashamed that in all my years living five minutes away from this restaurant and passing it almost daily, I never went in. It’s a lot bigger than it looks… so big that they even have an elevator! The inside is really classy looking, but don’t be fooled because the rooftop is comparable to a NYC rooftop bar, DJ and all! And being that it was a beautiful night, there was absolutely no room to sit down there so I was stuck at the bar downstairs which isn’t as lively and much more quiet(if that’s what you’re looking for). The bartenders are friendly and attentive and drinks are reasonably priced as well. The demographic is very mixed but mostly a 50+ crowd. There was even a group of 60somethings who were wasted on the elevator. More power to them!
