Johnny Rockets

The Johnny Rockets on Ocean Drive is the only one I will ever go to. They have the best burgers and milkshakes! Better food than any of the other Johnny Rockets I’ve been to. It’s right across from the beach so you can sit outside and enjoy your meal with a great view. I ate here multiple times while in Miami! The chocolate banana milkshake is my favorite!

Food, that was not bad. Business on the other hand. They are some crooks. Typical Southbeach. Saturday i ordered from the to go window. Paid cash. My change was whatever paper money and 27 cents. The girl at the window said she didnt have the 27 cents. No biggie. Shrugged it off. Today. I went back. Same damn thing. Same girl. This time my change was 9 cents. Majically she didnt have 9 cents.
I know its minimal. But its my damn change. Must add up after a while, shorting everyone on south beach their proper change.
Crooks ! What happened to honest people.

Out of everywhere on tourist Ocean Drive, we were craving a burger and ended up catching a seat at chain restaurant Johnny Rockets and I must say that we perhaps received one of the better service here than anywhere else we ate on Ocean Drive. The theme of this restaurant is old school dining burger joint which mainly serves, you guess it… burgers! (and fries/​shakes). I can see this place a spot where kids would enjoy their name being here, as you can see from all the Unilocal photos that the servers make cute pictures with ketchup in the container. I got a smiley face made for me which made me even smile more.
The food was great, for healthier options you could replaced the buns with lettuce wrapped or substitute any meat for a Boca veggie patty, but realistically most people just don’t. Fries don’t come with the burger, but it’s pretty cheap here so it will equal out to what you would typically pay for a meal anywhere anyways.

Pros: The servers were very nice. Cons: The inside is very dirty and the food was terrible.

Not as expensive as the rest of ocean dr! Damn their wings were the BEST ive ever had anywhere ever!

I like the vibe in here. I asked for a lettuce wrapped double patty with onions and mushrooms. It was T A S T Y !
The place was full. The ppl working both waters/​waitresses and chefs behind the grill were so fast. Had a good experience. Gotta try it out when ur in SoBe with kids too. It must be ideal for them kids for sure

Food was very good and decently priced… Under 10 bucks for my sandwich and about 4 for fries… and then the cheese fries with bacon were like 8 bucks. Good stuff…

My girlfriend and I were recently on vacation in South Beach and we came across your establishment. We sat down to have breakfast and drinks here since it didn’t look too busy. The service here was absolutely amazing. Our server, Terry, was such a peach! He was so friendly and made our visit to the restaurant so delightful. One thing that I really enjoyed about this visit was that no one was trying to force alcohol down our throats. It’s hard to find a place on Ocean Drive that isn’t trying to get you in to get you wasted. I found the experience here to be very unique since it’s in the middle of party central. Not everyone wants a party scene at 10:15 AM! Thank goodness for Terry and Johnny Rockets South Beach. We also found the food portions to be very good considering every other place around there tries to give you such small portions.
The Sunday drink special of $ 9.99 for bottomless bloody mary or mimosas is the best deal on Ocean Drive. I can’t believe that they don’t have more signage letting people know this.

After drinking and drinking on South beach we needed to get something to absorb the liquor. We walked around Collins ave and down Ocean drive but did not want to eat at the restaurants on the strip because we know the game, too high priced for little food. So we settled on Johnny Rockets .it was feet away from our hotel. The service was prompt and friendly .even at midnight. We both had the bacon cheese burger and a plate of fries. The price was right, had a good time refueling and people watching.

One of the best places to get food on Ocean Drive. This place is about as reasonable as far as price as you are going to get (on Ocean Drive). Besides the amazing burgers, the people who work there is what makes or breaks this place. Our service and servers were amazing! Handling a group of 8 who had a few to drink isn’t easy! No one’s check was miscalculated and the burgers were done in less than 5 minutes! I’ll definitely be back!

Great place on south beach very friendly staff great price, beer buckets 5 beers $ 20 highly recommend also have fish bowels shots etc, great for shooting the breeze watching the south beach life go by, oh and free wifi too great for updating fb status etc and Unilocal of course

Pros:
1. Good food and great atmosphere. We were looking for somewhere affordable go eat on Ocean Drive and I’m picky when it comes to new places because you never know if you’re going to like it and could be wasting your money. We did stay safe about it, but it was good.
2. Great service and food came out quick!
3. Love the outdoor seating!
Cons:
1. The server tries to talk you into adding additional stuff to your burger or fries which I get it’s her job to try to upsell, but she should say, «Would you like to add an egg, bacon, ect for an extra 75 cents?» Because i went back and forth with her to get her to tell me there was an extra charge for that stuff. It was like pulling teeth.

The shakes are really good, and the burgers was like medium good. The service wasn’t fantastic, and the place was dirty. The old-​time stile fits with Ocean Drive, but please clean the staff and the place…

Pretty good food for inexpensive price. Nothing healthy or special about the menu. I did have a butterfinger milkshake which was delicious also expensive at $ 7! The crispy chicken ranch salad was really filling and tasty. The chilly nachos and cheese burger were ok, I prefer more of a homemade type vs a super processed fake food. Our server was nice. As mentioned in other reviews, the location is right in the middle of all the action directly across from south beach. So it is a bit loud and distracting for a toddler and a dog.

Inexpensive in South Beach. Location of Johnny Rockets is perfect, right across from the beach. They serve typical American diner food… burgers and fries, etc. I had a chocolate milkshake which was awesome. If you’re going to try anything here, I recommend a milkshake. It was delicious, not too sweet, and had just the right consistency. I also had cheese fries and a veggie burger. Johnny Rockets has veggie burgers, who knew!?! They serve Boca brand burgers which not bad but aren’t my favorite. My cheese fries were the perfect blend of crispy and melty goodness. Service was good. Thanks Cindy!

The perfect place to stop and people watch on Ocean Drive. Whilst many restaurants try to get you in with 2−4−1 offers and specials and people trying to get you in, Johnny Rockets doesn’t need all that, their food speaks for itself. I had some chilli cheese fries and the Miami squealer burger which is a ¹⁄₃ pound burger with cheese in a sour dough bun. It was perfectly cooked and really juicy. I had a beer, but my friend had one of their legendary milkshakes which are like a meal on their own! Our total bill including tip was $ 70 for 3 people, worth it for the comfortable seats from which to people watch, let alone the delicious food!

Good food! Had dinner here one night and came back for lunch the next day. Prices are reasonable. This place is beach front so thats a added bonus

Reasonable and delicious. The staff is great and accommodating. I will be eating here again. Directly across from the beach/​ocean. Prices are reasonable too. I brought my 4 kids and the bill wasn’t bad at all. The staff smile and I’m blown away by their kindness. I recommend totally!

This Johnny Rockets in Miami, FL is fantastic! Great service! Great food! Great people! It’s a pleasure coming here because after a splash in the ocean and tan in the sun, I come to this Johnny rockets to get a quick delicious bite! The waiters here are nice and funny! Come with your meal fast, with a dance to the «Cupid Shuffle» or any other hip old song. Reasonable prices for burgers and beers, never get tired of this place and it’s burgers!
I highly recommend the Philly cheese steak and the traditional Cheese burger with a side of hot fries or shake! There’s everything and anything for the whole family. So if your by south beach or just driving around, come to this Johnny Rockets!

Walked in to grab a bite to eat since we headed to the beach without breakfast. At first I was getting upset as no one came to give us menus or welcome us and others who sat after us already had menus. After a few minutes our waitress came and she was great. She took our orders and was quick to bring us our water. We had order two shakes which came after we were done with our food which wasn’t alright but I didn’t say anything as our waitress apologize a couple of times. Burgers were big and juicy. No complaints there.
The atmosphere was fun as it faces the street and we were watching the people passing by observing the art deco festival.
As I said in my tag line, found the place to be pricy they even added a Miami Beach tax.

Einer der besten Burger bekommt man hier, einfach Super lekker. Zudem ist die Lage absolut perfekt, direkt am Ocean Drive. Vorsicht Suchtgefahr :-)

j’adore cette chaine de resto mais franchement, le service était horriblement long ! pour un simple burger et une boisson, c’est pas très normal. ok, on est sur ocean drive mais quand même.
sinon, n’hésitez pas à y aller, c’est assez cher par rapport aux autres burgers mais perso, j’adore l’ambiance, même si mon préféré reste celui d’uptown manhattan

Also ich hatte den Cheeseburger, die Cheese-​Fries und nen Schoko-​milkshake.
Der Milkshake war echt lecker, der Cheeseburger ok, aber die Cheese-​Fries gingen gar nicht. Viel zu kross und nur noch lauwarm und der Käse demnach schon hart.
Die Bedienung war auch ziemlich lahm und besonders freundlich war sie auch nicht.
Hatte im allgemeinen auch eher den Eindruck das das gesamte service-​personal da nicht so Lust hatte.

die Burger sind Klasse keine Frage, die Bedienung sehr bemüht, die Lage perfekt. Für Burgerfans eigentllich ein muß. Allerdings sollte die Geldbörse gut gefüllt sein! Preise sind hier hochklassig!

Ich würde mich als burgerexperte bezeichnen und esse oft und ganz verschiedene burger und ich finde das es hier weltweit die besten burger gibt. Und wer hier am Ocean Drive Platz nimmt bekommt viel geboten verrückte Leute auf der partymeile Blick rüber zum Beach und einfach einen perfekten Service a la Amerika. Viel Show (Tanz etc) von den kellnern. Also ein muss in den USA. Hin burger und milchshake bestellen!

The best Burger in Town.

Was in L.A. an der Melrose Avenue klasse ist, kann am Ocean Drive in Miami Beach eigentlich auch nur gut sein, finde ich :-).
Hier gibt es mit Abstand die besten (Ketten-)Burger in charmantem 50er-​Jahre Restaurant-​Design.
Der Service ist klasse, die Milchshakes übrigens eine schmackhafte Sünde ;-).
Wenn man sich das Personal betrachtet, fühlt man sich irgendwie zu den «Waltons» zurückversetzt und wartet auf den legendären Ike Godsey, der einem das Essen vorbeibringt ;-)!
Daher gibt es die volle Punktzahl und ich freue mich schon auf das nächste Wiedersehen im Rahmen der Winter-​Music-​Conference in Miami…

Das Johnny Rockets in Miami am Ocean Drive hat die perfekte Lage um sich bei einem Burger die Leute anzusehen.
Man hat hier fast den Eindruck man wäre im Amerika der 50er Jahre. Die Servicekräfte sind so gekleidet und die Einrichtung vermittelt einem das Gefühl.
Nicht zu vergessen die super Auswahl an Burgen und anderem leckeren Fast Food.
Ich muss nochmal abschweifen, wer den Film Scarface mit Al Pacino kennt wird das Gebäude in dem das Johnny Rockets ist sofort wieder erkennen…
Ein Muss für jeden Miami Besucher

Das Johnny Rockets wurde mir als Pflicht Besuch aufgeben wie mein Bekanntenkreis erfahren hat das ich nach Florida fliege, also, da ich Fast Food liebe habe ich doch direkt am Ocean Drive mir den Laden mal angesehen
Also Ich liebe Fastfood und ich liebe Johnny Rockets.
Hier gibt es alles was das Fastfood Herz begehrt Pommes, Burger in allen Variationen, leckere Starters wie z.b.: Onion Rings, Cheese Fries (Pommes mit legga Käsesoße), Chili Fries und Chicken Wings.
Das alleine ist schon super lecker Aber wenn man dann an die ‘Hauptspeise’ gehtJammi
z.b gibt es hier den Smokehouse Burger, der ist mit lecker Soße, Onion Rings und Bacon…
Nur einer von einer ganzen Flotte Also, ich wünschte wir hätten Johnny Rockets in Hamburg.
Sollte ich jemals wieder das Vergnügen haben nach Florida zu reisen werde ich auf sicher zu Johnny Rockets gehen.
