Uno Pizzeria & Grill

Strictly carry out. I’ve never eaten in the restaurant. I order online and pick up at curbside. I love the curbside option! My pizza has always been perfect and delicious and exactly as ordered. The sausage is really good and not that mystery meat kind of mashed up, cheap sausage. This is flavorful sausage that is crumbled. I ordered a side salad and it’s fresh and just as pictured online. The curbside staff has been really nice and friendly each time, so be sure to tip these nice folks!

Well for here and it took a moment to greet. After I got my drink, waited a while to take order. It’s ok so far but after order arrived, I had to get my own salt and pepper and limes at two locations at the bar. After I was settled and started to eat, I was asked if I was ok. While I was eating I never heard anything else and as I write this, I have been done for 10 minutes and not asked if I need anything else amor gotten my check. I guess I will ask for that too. However, food is great and got to my area fast. Great taste and nicely cooked. Tank you.

Uno’s has pretty decent dine-​in food… a diverse menu to satisfy most. That’s never been an issue during any of our 3 visits to this restaurant over the past 5 years.
That being said… I can only give 2 stars as a rating because their service EVERY time I’ve been there is just horrible. It’s embarrassing. I waited THIRTY minutes for a glass of water. That’s just the beginning. We waited and waited and waited for drinks, the check, or any sign of our server. We’ve complained before, years ago… actually sat down with the manager, and all she could offer was to comp our dinner. That wasn’t what we wanted, nor did we accept. The food was good… we enjoyed it and we wouldn’t feel right not paying for it. The point of addressing the situation directly with the manager, was to help her to I understand the situation and improve their service by hiring more staff. She admitted that was a big problem for them… persistent low staff.
Apparently, years later, it continues to be a serious problem. Serious enough that we will not eat there again… and that’s a shame, because their food is pretty good. :(

Really nice atmosphere and great service. Some of the food was really good (like the wings) and some was a little dry (like the stuffed chicken and the steak) but overall a nice place to chill. Ill only be back in the nfl season though for the wings and the bear games. Id go somwhere else to get a really delicious dinner.

Definitely better this time around. My hat is off to management who took care of us after our first visit. I appreciate the attentive response to my previous review. UNOs definitely took time to make sure my family and I were satisfied. Thanks again.

We were seated quickly but waited 15 mins for someone to attend us food wasn’t all that great we just came so my son can make his pizza he had fun making it but didn’t really eat it we kept having to ask the waiter many times for refills we felt completely ignored we haven’t been back bad service semi-​okay food

The service was slow, and painful. Brought my girlfriend here for a date night. The waitress had to be asked 2 times for everything. The only good thing is they seemed to separate the occupied tables with unoccupied tables between. With that said, my waitress had maybe 4 tables in her section. The appetizer arrived 5 mins before the entrée. I had to share my drink because the waitress didn’t pay us enough attention to see the empty glass I placed at the edge. Asked waitress for silverware when the entrée arrived, only to feel ignored again. Ended up stealing from an unoccupied table. Trying to stay optimistic, and make a comeback with my girlfriend by ending on a good note, I order a desert to go. After the waitress puts in our order, she hands us our tab with nearly $ 15 extra items. I usually pay without looking at the receipt but this time I was going to give minimal tip. Desert arrived 20 mins later because they delivered on a plate and when I reminded them it was to go, they said they had to remake a new cookie with ice cream. Manager showed no signs of empathy, only fixing the receipt and never apologizing. Food was good, so the cooks must be the only reason people keep this place open.

I always like to support businesses in Modesto, but I think service here good be slightly improved. We came her for my parents’ birthday and were greeted by the hostesses. They said it would be about 10 – 15 minutes wait. However, I could see plenty of tables open. It was awkward just eyeing those open tables while waiting.
The food was great. We ordered the sampler for appetizers which consisted of fried goodness and chips and guac. The guac was decent and tasted a little older. For the main course we got a classic deep dish and flatbread, which were excellent. My favorite part about the deep dish is the crust. Uno’s always has a great deep dish. I am sad the other location near the mall closed. The waitress was very friendly and hooked it up with a group birthday song where we were surrounded by the loudly clapping staff and complimentary ice creams. Great touch; we were all stuffed and had happy tummies.

This place is pretty mediocre. The food, the service, the drinks, the atmosphere– you name it. Thank you to the bartender who checked on me and my friend and got us our other drinks. He’s the reason for 3 stars. Our server took our order, checked on us once (before we even had our food!)… And then dropped off the check. We won’t be back.

Lunch food was good. Food came out slow considering that the place wasnt full. Server was good to give us new glasses for our drinks but never took the old glasses. Wasn’t paying attention when asking for check even when the she looked straight into the servers eye.
Poor training.

I love Chicago style pizza it’s my favorite type of pizza. Utah just doesn’t have a place that makes a Chicago style pizza. I was really excited to come to Uno and fill that hole in my stomach. I ordered the Numero Uno and loved it. The pizza is five stars, but service is one star so I’m meeting in the middle for 3 stars. I also ordered the pizza skins which was super delicious. We had called in to make a reservation when we did they didn’t ask us for our name just the amount of people we had in our party. When we arrived they said they didn’t have us on the list… Super annoying when you have a large party including kids who are hungry. We ended up waiting anyway and the staff wasn’t helpful at all. If I go back it will only be for take out.

Great service. The bartenders are great. Drink prices are good. Manager is helpful too.

I love this place. I have never had a bad meal. They have this big salad with bacon and tons of ranch. It makes me feel like I am eating healthy when really I am not. Then I can tell my mom I had a salad. The pizza is really good. I always get good service. I am craving one of those salads right now. Mmmmmkkkkkaaayyy

Best service ever! Great food and awesome atmosphere! Bartenders are on point great service and managers are very helpful! ! Keelie is the best!

This place has awesome food, beverages, and atmosphere. I have yet to try everything but I don’t believe you can go wrong with whatever type of pizza you order. VERY SATISFYING! Plus, I forgot my leftovers and they saved them for me. NUMERO UNO!

Not too impressed with Uno. This place is like many other restaurants that caters to more bar goers than eaters. They offer French Onion soups in bowls not cups (1pt taken off). Hubby had Cesar salad with very light dressing. Hubby asked for extra dressing and instead of our servers getting the dressing we asked for, he went and took ordered on 5 women who just arrived. Overall, ok experience.

I probably haven’t been to Pizzeria Uno since 2000 – way before they changed their name – when I lived in Florida.
If you’ve been to Chicago’s original location, you probably couldn’t live without this chain, and yet, it’s a shallow shadow of the original location.
I’m not saying that the food isn’t good. It is.
We got an individual Numero Uno pizza and a Cheddar Bacon Burger and they were as good as expected. $ 12.70 seems a lot for a six or seven inch pizza, deep dish or not. Recalling my visits in the mid-​1990s, they were charging about half the price then, so they’re not charging a lot more now. The burger with fries was similarly priced. We ended up stuffed with food.
Monica was a helpful, engaging server. She came across as sincere and as a person who wanted to please each customer. That is a surprise because so many fail at this.
The pizza’s «sauce» if you can call it that, leaves a lot of liquid on the serving platter and can cause soggy crust. You can switch that to marinara or alfredo sauce, if you like.
I was told that the burger was good but that the fries were incredible. The one I tried was really good, but not unlike the natural fries from Carl’s Jr. They had plain or spicy cheddar for the burger.
Things worked well, but the pricing causes me to consider this a once a month place, as it ended up at $ 40.00 with tip. That’s not horrible, but I don’t think the food is great enough for dinner prices. I think we’d rather have gone to Pizza Plus, if they had a location in Modesto or Ceres.
