Come on man how cool is it to have a place at the beach for your great pizza, wings and about 1 million TVs. Such a cool environment. Such awesome people with great service, super clean and most importantly the meatball sliders!!! All smiles in this place!

Triple Pepperoni with blue cheese crumbles on skinny crust will change your life. So much better than every pizza you’ve ever had. Give them a try, you will love it. TRIPLEPEPPERONISKINNYCRUST!!! I add blue cheese, but that’s right for me.

Good wholesome pizza. This location used to be a z pizza and changed to fresh brothers about two years ago. Always busy for their take outs and if you sign up for their email you get offered every now and then.

I’ve always loved Chicago thin-crust pizza, so when I heard about this place, I had to go check it out! When I got there, the restaurant wasn’t quite what I expected. Based on the quality of the reviews, I thought it would be more upscale. Still, the food is why I came, so my friend and I decided to order two pizzas and share. There are three crust styles — deep dish, skinny, and thin crust. Thin crust is what I was craving, so we ordered two medium thin-crust pizzas. Yes, I know there were only two of us, but it’s always fun to have leftovers! Here’s what we got: — A medium thin crust«Old School»(Meatballs layered with pepperoni and smothered with spicy Giardiniera) … — A medium thin crust«Da Works»(Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, onion. Spice it up with Giardiniera) … Our pizzas came and I was thrilled to see that they’re party cut! That means that instead of cutting the pies into wedge-shaped slices, they’re cut into squares about two inches on each side. I used to eat my pizza this way during visits to my Gram’s in Chicago when I was little — seeing the pizza brought back such great memories! The crust was delish, the sauce is zesty and fresh, and all the toppings are WAY above average for chain pizza. What really put this pizza totally over the top was the Giardiniera. It’s an order of excellence better than any I’ve had since my Chicago days. I’m a fan of Fresh Brothers, and I WILL be back frequently.

Hands down THE best pizza I’ve had in OC. The meatball sliders are also delicious — very flavorful. I’ve ordered here numerous times and it’s consistently good. My only complaint is that my pizza hasn’t been ready when they said it would be and I’ve had to wait an additional 5−10mins.

Incredibly and pleasantly surprised by the fresh and high quality of the food here. I really wasn’t expecting much from my quick/late lunch but I’m glad I decided to try! I would say 90% of the people dining at the patio area ordered from Fresh Brothers, so that’s already a promising sign. I chose to go for the personal pizza combo with a side salad. For the pizza, I got a 1 topping thin crust pizza with Turkey Sausage, which was so good! It came out piping hot with all the perfectly melted cheese and crunchy thin crust. I chose to go with the Cobb Salad, where you get the option of it chopped(for smaller bites/more mixed) or simply tossed. The salad was very fresh and well-balanced with each ingredient… the chicken was tender and the salad had just the right amount of blue cheese crumbles so it wasn’t heavy at all. Overall, I would come back and definitely want to try some of the appetizers, like the baked/not fried wings!

I heard about this place reading about a Unilocal event that was held here. A friend who went to that event said: «Their Chicago style deep dish pizzas are off the hook!» My pizza Jones took immediate notice and insisted that I bookmark the place, so I did. When I got there, the place didn’t look anything like what I expected. It looks like what it is — a small link in a moderately upscale chain of pizza restaurants. Apparently there are now 14 of these places. Still, I withheld judgment and studied the menu. There are three crust styles — skinny, thin crust, and deep dish. I’ve always been a fan of deep dish Chicago-style pizza, and double-stuffed(which sadly isn’t one of Fresh Brothers’ offerings) makes my heart beat faster. From what I’ve read in Unilocal reviews for some of the stores in LA, what they do best here is the thin crust. Given that, we decided to get a thin crust and a deep dish pizza. After all, with pizza, it’s always good to have leftovers :-) Here’s what we ordered: — A medium thin crust«Old School»(Meatballs layered with pepperoni and smothered with spicy Giardiniera)
— A medium deep dish«Da Works»(Sausage, pepperoni, mushrooms, green peppers, onion. Spice it up with Giardiniera)
— «Fresh Knots»(Garlic bread tied in tasty knots, dusted with parmsan, served with pizza sauce on the side)
My first very pleasant surprise — the«Fresh Knots» are completely legit! They’re hot, tasty, and much better than I expected to encounter in a chain restaurant, no matter how upscale it may be. Heartened by the unexpected quality, I bravely proceeded to the pizzas… Deep dish fan that I am, I tried«Da Works» first. The crust is above average on the«Independent Suspension» front. It droops not at all even under this substantial topping load. That said, I’d rate the gestalt taste experience of this pizza no better than 3.5 stars. It doesn’t hold a candle to Rance’s in Costa Mesa(or any of the Bay Area’s «Holy Trinity», for that matter); nothing to justify a return visit. Remembering that this outfit is known for their thin crust pies, I focused my attention there. Very pleasant surprise #2: The thin crust pies are«square-cut»(aka«party cut»), instead of the classic triangle shape. I only see this rarely, but one of my favorite Chicago style thin-crust crust joints(«The Spot» in La Jolla) serves theirs that way, so my expectations for our thin crust«Old School» immediately went up. Measuring the Independent Suspension of a square-cut pizza is like trying to get shoes on a rattlesnake — it just doesn’t fit. That said, I found the thin crust shape much more suited to the taste of Fresh Brother’s pizza dough than the deep dish. It works pretty darn well. All the toppings are decidedly above average for chain pizza, and the sauce tasted fresh and zesty. What really elevated this pizza completely over the top was the Giardiniera. It’s an order of magnitude better than any I’ve had in quite a spell. So good, in fact, that I looked it up on the restaurant’s web site, and saw that they import the stuff directly from Chicago in one and two pallet-sized lots. I’m a total fan of Fresh Brothers thin crust pizza! Next time I go back, I’m going to order both an «Old School» and something else to broaden my exposure to this surprisingly good new find. I’m also going to check out the corkage fee. Last time, the girl at the counter was so stunned at question about how much it was that she just offered me a corkscrew. This time, I’m going to confirm with management what the«official» corkage policy is. I’m hoping to discover that their corkage is free, but as long as it doesn’t venture into Ludicrous Territory(like Wolfgang Puck’s «Cut» in Vegas) I’m down as a repeat offender!

Pizza is always delicious with fresh and flavorful toppings — love the Fresh Momma’s favorite! Mega grain crust is a bonus if you want to feel *healthy* Got a move-in mailer for a free pizza with order of a salad– ordered from the manager Chris who was extremely courteous and helpful. Really appreciate the friendly customer service! Delivery has been faster than expected(quoted as an hour on wknd nights, 45 mins on weeknights, but shave off about 15 mins in reality, which the hungry belly greatly appreciates)

Anyone who calls this pizza is completely clueless to what pizza is. Cardboard crusts are not pizza. A thicker cardboard crust is not considered deep dish. Eat the pizza while it’s still hot becAuse the colder it gets the harder the crust becomes. Dry, dense, cracker like are the words that come to mind. And you can forget about looking forward to having pizza leftovers for breakfast the next day because by that point it is completely inedible. Major bummer! It’s baffling how so many people like the pizza. Bah, I forgot I was in California! Of course they like the pizza. Native Californians do not understand the language of PIZZA! And I don’t understand the language of nasty tofu. That’s an entirely other rant so I’ll stick with the pizza. Their salads are good though. They give you lots of veggie options and the option of getting your slad chopped with the dressing. Fresh Brothers needs to add yeast to their dough and let the dough rise before making a pizza. Someone forgot to sign up for the yeast course class at the ‘how can i make pizza and open several stores while I am completely clueless to what pizza is’ school. I grade you an overall F and give you no credit for effort. Yeastless pizza dough is no effort.

This is my favorite Fresh Brothers location. Not only because it is the closest to home, but located right at Gelson’s so you have plenty of easy parking and can stroll through there while waiting for you pizza to get done. I kept it simple with a large cheese and while it might have looked plain, it was very tasty! Great ingredients, good sauce, cheese and crust which is essential in any good pizza. Location is nice and super clean, inside and outside seating and the staff is exceptionally nice, fast and on top of their game, my favorite place to grab pizza in the area!

So pizza lovers everywhere if you are watching what you eat this is the place for you!!! My new healthy life style only allows me to eat whole grains. The fact that they have a whole grain crust is uh-may-zing!!! They pride themselves on fresh ingredients and healthy-er choices and I fully support that! It’s nothing fancy quick stop in or take out! The pizza is super tasty and you can say you stayed healthy. I ordered the skinny crust cheese pizza! So good!

More accurate rating: 3.75 We ordered the Fresh Momma’s Favorite on thin crust to-go and were pretty excited to try it, from glance it looked extremely fresh. They cut the pizza into squares, which although was kind of weird for me, I also liked that it was different. They definitely live up to their name! It tasted so fresh and there was SO much spinach and mushroom! Every bite was extremely tasty. The only knock is that the middle pieces started to get soggy and stuck to the box. We did take it to-go though, and are going to try and make it out and try it hot out of the oven soon! Next on the list is to try their meatball sliders.
