As most we were excited to try this seafood place, My family was in town from Ny so off we went. As we walked in the place looked a mess(visible spray insulation on porch). We stood around waiting for host/hostess few minutes finally someone came sat us at a table in the middle of was the restaurant, Our waiter came over dressed in camo ! Seems the wait staff comes as is. Now the fun begins One beer, diet coke, white wine, glass of Merlot. My merlot showed up and was clearly not Merlot not sure what it was but as it tasted more like red wine vinegar, Sent it back oh sorry we are out of red wine… Hmmmm ok club soda lime please, I got tonic with lime. Ugh ok Corona lime … No lime. Next dinner. Fried pickles came out with no dipping sauce in a paper holder no side plates or even silverware. My friend ordered a steak we laughed as it was so Thin it could have been a Steak-Um, My fish was over cooked and my Baked potato us not cooked, Chasing the waiter down for each and everything butter sour cream etc. Sorry you got our 100 bucks but Never again.

I really wish I could give a review of the food. Stopped in to drink a Crown /Coke and meet some friends for dinner. I was informed that they were out of Crown. Seriously, that’s like Pizza Hut being out of cheese. The guy that seems to be running the place was nice and informed me that his wife was on her way with a key to get more Crown. The place seemed clean for a building that is probably 30 years old and has outlived its usefulness. The décor was simple. Actually really simple and more towards bland. I really wish they would’ve had Crown in stock because I wanted to try the food, but had to rearrange dinner plans for Tin Fin in Rincon. I was really surprised that Port Side Seafood only had one other patron when I entered. The outside of the building pretty much sums up what the interior looks like.

We went there on the recommendation of our hotel clerk. When we got there we were seated, handed menus, and immediately asked what we wanted. We had not had a chance to even see the menus so I said the we needed time to look it over. The waitress seemed impatient but brought us some water, and, within one minute, before we had time to decide, asked us if we had decided. We said we needed a little more time. In about 5 minutes we were ready to order, but the waitress never came back. Another waitress came by about 10 minutes later and asked us if we had everything we needed. I told her we were ready to order, but she said she was not there to take our order. We waited a few more minutes but finally got up and walked out and went to another restaurant. Maybe we missed out on some good food but the service was enough to turn us off. The wait staff evidently needs more training in customer relations.

Not impressed. Oysters over breaded and under cooked. Hush puppies suck. Like eating fried bisquick. Staff needs training on menu and what drinks they stock. Atmosphere, wait there isn’t any.

Really enjoyed the fried catfish with onion rings. Wife had very generous portion of shrimp and grits! Very friendly waitress too. We stopped here based on other Unilocal reviews met our expectations! Thanks for a great lunch.

Had the daughter and her family in from San Francisco. We had the feast, Low Country boil, Shrimp Po boy and crab legs. Everything was superb, great service and a friendly open atmosphere. Don’t miss the opportunity to enjoy this restaurant !

Good food and service. The fish was cooked perfectly and broccoli tasted fresh not frozen. The yellow squash was a little chewy, it may have been frozen before. They are newly opened so I would try them again. They seem to specialize more in fried seafood.
