Supercuts

If you do not want to see Amanda and call ahead for another stylist, Amanda is NOT helpful. I have been seeing Shawna for years, but when I called ahead and said I wanted to have Shawna cut my hair, I was basically told, well, it just depends on «life.» Unfortunately, I will have to go elsewhere from now on. Customer service is poor.

I’m shocked at the awful customer service here. I’ve been a fan of Supercuts for a long time, and this place gives the franchise a bad name. I’m unsure as to who cut my hair because she didn’t give me her name. She was extremely cold but I tried to ignore it. She asked what I wanted and I told her I wasn’t sure, but definitely noticeably shorter. She told me that that was for ‘summer.’ I told her just cut my hair how she saw fit and as long as I wouldn’t have to do anything too high maintenance with it or have it cut extremely often I’d be happy. She kept asking me questions about the haircut and I kept trying to reemphasizing my point.
She then cut it so sloppily, making hack cuts and literally taking less than 10 minutes before asking my opinion. She threw some product in it and said she was done. My hair was sopping wet and I couldn’t see the result. She said I could get it blow dried for $ 4 more. I was shocked. I couldn’t see the result that I already could tell wasn’t good.
Conclusion: there are dozens of other places in Albuquerque, including many other Supercuts. Drive the few extra minutes and go somewhere else.

We took my children there to have their hair «trimmed» and we were very specific on what we wanted and tried to explain it so they would understand. From the first clip it was too much but at that point we were committed. It was apparent at the barbers reaction that she was uncomfortable and asked us questions like «is he going to squirm?» Which is a very valid concern, but we could tell she was not very confident cutting a toddlers hair and perhaps a bit perturbed. We even asked her if she would like us to wait for one of the other barbers. She said «no, it’s fine» and that she was able to trim his hair. It is only hair, and it will grow back, but it’s frustrating when we asked several times and tried to explain ourselves clearly only to not be very happy for children. I don’t know that I would recommend this place for children. Unfortunately we were not very happy.

I had an excellent cut and style from the Manager, Amanda. She is friendly without being overbearing, and runs a great shop. Everyone working in there looks happy, and the customers came and went with smiles. Easy access location, parking is a snap — and you can’ beat the price.
P. S. I know it says «men’s hair salon», but this isn’t just for dudes. It’s for everyone.

Won’t return and have learned that a cheap price equals a bad cut. My hair looks thin and was cut unevenly.

We went here tonight because we had coupons but the service was so good we will be back.
