I’m a Cheese Steak aficionado. Granite’s is over oily(indicator of low quality beef), Cheesesteak Grille is too cost conscious(more bread than meat and cheese), Cheese Stake Shop’s bread is not all that but all else is very good. Don’t get me wrong, all those shops I enjoy, but if you want the best, Milo’s has my #1 vote because they bake their own bread from scratch everyday, you can tell the meat is better quality than the average shop, and the onions, mushrooms and peppers are real fresh. The only thing that can make it better is if the meat, cheese and veggies were all organic ingredients. I also wish they had healthier drink options. I enjoy their cheesestake so much, I have yet to try the Giros. Fries are pretty good too, just wish they would experiment frying those fries in Beef Fat which was McDonald’s secret till the food Natzis made them change it for health reasons, but the funny thing is, now they find out beef fat is healthier to fry potatoes in beef than what they use now and it sure tastes a heck of a lot better that’s for sure. Milo’s, if you read this review, try it and watch your sales increase! Research it out and try. I haven’t been to the Rocklin store, but the guy who runs the front counter in Roseville makes me feel like we’re best buds everytime I come in and I live in Natomas, so I don’t get around there but maybe three times a year; yet he still remembers me. That is the mark of an exceptional business man; know thy customers. Hence the 5 star rating.

The sandwiches are super yummy! When you are craving a cheesesteak this is the place to go! Fries and salads are great side items as well. They can be pricey when you are buying for a family of 5 tho!

I really enjoyed this place. It was quite but the two employees were very helpful. I’ve never tried a gyro before and I’d say it was pretty amazing. Only thing I didn’t enjoy was the lack of flavor from the steak. The gyro’s flavor was based on the Greek yogurt only. Still will return for gyros and more!

This place is easy to miss from the roadway, but what a great find! This is the place to go if you want a really good gyro served on toasted flatbread. Absolutely wonderful flavor in the meats. Don’t forget to try their baklava. A dessert that will leave your taste buds thanking you for finding this place.

All I can say is never again. In their defense. The service was awesome. But since I value good safe food over service I have to give this place one star. I ordered a chicken Gyro with no flatbread and one order of falafel. I posted the picture of the falafel because a picture tells more than my words ever could. The falafel was burned and it tasted terrible. I asked for a side of olives and feta. feta is a moist cheese but the cheese was wet and not fresh the inside was sweating and the olives were bad I got an instant tummy ache. The chicken tasted ok but there was more lettuce than anything and the lettuce was wilted. I will never be back not sure why they have four stars I would like to see more honest reviews of this place. I now have food poisoning. I also looked at the picture I took noticing how the sauce(dairy based) has little sweat beads on it… as did my cheese and olives. Sweat indicates improper refrigeration of dairy products –no doubt and now the burning stomach makes more sense. At least I only took one bite.

Came in at 4 pm and the place was a little dirty… Tables weren’t wiped down and dirty trays were stacked up by the trash… Trash was overfilling… Considering it was slow time when we were there(no customers besides us the whole time we were there) they could have cleaned up a little bit. But the food was good :)

Food was good, the philly in pita wrap is my fav! However, I’m giving a one star here because of that rude female staff that takes the order. always the same person for the past few months… Doesn’t smile and sarcastic when u ask question about the menu. milo’s should take some time to evaluate that staff there. I’ve in many time asked for a little extra tatsiki in a tiny container and was no problem for others there but this time, she said i had to pay for it. i can tell she just didnt want to make the effort!

Love this little place. I had the steak hoagie. Soft roll and plenty of meat. Looking forward to trying the gyro next time. Friendly staff as well.

Not bad, just ok though. Salad was less than impressive for my liking. But the gyros was good

Ok I’m one of those. I know full well it’s not pronounce gyro, rather it’s pronounce, you-ro, or something like that. Well, I decided to be the one who walks in and orders a gyro, yes, a gy-ro. The guy behind the counter wasn’t one of those who pronounced it correctly to make me feel stupid, he said gyro too. Ok so aside from this pronunciation thing I’m hooked on, he actually read the name on my debit card, and used it and used it correctly. So the gyro, was good. The last gyro I had was at the place in the mall, Milo’s was so much better! I love gyros and it’s one of those hard things to mess up… well you do have to get the ratio right so you don’t have a big giant mess on your hands. Milo’s ratios were great, and I’ll definitely be back. However you call a gyro, call it good!

Naaaahhh… this place isn’t anything great. It’s unfortunate that the meat is not fresh… tastes more like the frozen ones you can buy in bulk. It was dry and hard/chewy. The salad greens and tomatoes were not fresh at all. The dressing was bland and my taste buds were not excited for this at all. I’m so disappointed as I’m still in search of best the gyro sandwiches and salad combo :-) As for the service… or the lack of… was pretty poor. Ordered, got our food in a few min and we were pretty much on our own. Condiments and all are self-served which I didn’t really mind but the girl behind the counter had no connection with the customers. No facial expression, just pretty much stood there and pushed buttons on the register. She was way too busy on her phone to check if everything was going ok with the customers. Whatever was in her phone was apparently way more interesting than the customers.

Milo’s is the type of place that I feared wouldn’t exist when I had to temporarily move offices to Rocklin. It’s that place that isn’t flashy, but does food right and has a little bit of a funky feel to it. Now, when I say funky, that doesn’t always bring about the best of thoughts with it, but I mean it in a really positive sense here. For example, I mentioned to a co-worker that this place does gyros… and cheesesteaks. And I got a look that said to me «places that serve greek food shouldn’t serve cheesesteaks» or vice versa. But they pull it off, and they do so well. So in my first few trips, I tried all the more traditional stuff. Standard gyros? A delicious check. Nice warm pita bread, plentiful seasoned meat. Just what I was looking for. Next time through, the cheesesteak. Freshly baked bread, thinly sliced and perfectly seasoned meat, piles of grilled onions and spicy/sweet peppers were promptly shoved into my face. Next time, some of the hybrid stuff. A cheesesteak with meat you’d find in gyros? Check! Oh, and don’t forget the garlic fries. Killer. The service is great, too. Folks seem to remember you right away, which is always a plus. Huge recommendation.

Went first time here. Really was craving for some fresh gyro! Lamb/beef gyro I ordered there wasn’t much meat in it. And I’ve tried better meat quality where it kind of melts in your mouth feeling. When they carve it out fresh in front of you. Well here they don’t. The side salad was good though. –My hubby ordered the Thursday special spicy gyro which was dry and again barely any meat on it. The side of French fries was good. –Philly cheesesteak sandwich also was dry and not much meat. I wish it was better. But I have to say I’m not coming back here for more.

Hmmm, another review I swear I wrote already! Well I can’t remember all of the details but I do remember liking this place quite a bit. Inside it is pretty small with seating for around 15 – 20 people. Ordering is done at the counter. Like the name say’s Cheesesteaks and Gyros are the staples but I remember there being burgers as well. I tried a classic philly and it was juicy cheesy messy good. Prices are reasonable and they run specials as well. Oddly enough this business is sandwiched in between a couple of other great places: Mud to Suds(for my puppie) and Leo’s Chinese Food :) If your craving the hot cheesy goodness of a messy cheesesteak this is a great choice.

First time here and definitely won’t be my last! Being my first visit to Milo’s I wanted to keep my order simple and decided to go with the regular beef gyro. EVERYTHING about it was delicious the meat was seasoned and cooked well, the pita was soft and fresh. The pictures just don’t do justice — these gyros are extremely hearty, packed with meat. The tzatziki sauce is awesome, cools everything down. The employees are laid back and helpful, ask them for suggestions if you’re having a hard time deciding — everything on the menu looked delicious. Will be back for sure, and I suggest that everyone eat more gyros — you won’t regret it!!!

I am definintely a HUGE fan of Milo’s — and I stick to what I like so usually it’s a Gyro sandwhich. Compared with Daphne’s which to my knowledge is the only other place in the immediate area(Roseville/Rocklin) where I can get a gyro — it’s a no brainer — Milo’s all the way! The food is always up to par in taste and quality — LOVE their gyro meat and their french fries are good too. They have a special of the day every day — so you end up being able to combo up for less than you would if it wasn’t a special. It’s worth it — i love going here, so happy it’s here and hopefully not going anywhere :)

The service here is great! So quick and the people working here are really nice and appreciative of all their customers. You order and pay at the counter, then they bring the food to you. It was nice to see how they would personally thank each customer that left a tip for them, because a lot of restaurants don’t care about that. Some even get upset if you DON’T leave one.. . The food here is good. I ordered the chicken gyro and enjoyed it. It was really filling, so I actually started to just eat the meat and leave half the pita and fries. I rarely eat Greek food, so I can’t comment on authenticity, but all the other reviews seem to say that this place is great as well!

My taste buds were definitely craving something with lots of meat in it. Should I have a taste of Philadelphia and order a cheesesteak? Or should I take a trip down the Mediterranean en route to Greece and experience a gyro? Well, after narrowing it down to one pick, I decide on going with a gyro. I’ve actually eaten at a «Milo’s Cheesestakes & Gyros» before; however that was at the Roseville Galleria shopping mall back in January 2013. However I have never eaten at the standalone location before so let’s just see how the food tastes in comparison. «Milo’s Cheesestakes & Gyros» is conveniently located in a standard strip mall directly on Pleasant Grove Blvd. in Roseville. There are other various businesses located here but the lettering for this place stood out like a sore thumb which made it easy to identify from the street. Parking is very easy to find as I arrive here around 2:45pm on a Tuesday January afternoon. Once stepping inside the building, I notice that I am the only customer in here. That is understandable as I pretty much came here in between the lunch and dinner rush. The interior itself offers ample seating throughout, a fountain drink dispenser, and condiments to customize your meal. However the two guys working in the kitchen heard me when I came in. I am assuming one is the chef and the other takes the orders. I ask which gyro he recommends and(without hesitation), he immediately replies by saying«beef & lamb are amazing». That pretty much sums it up as I was most likely going to order that one anyway. Prices are very decent as well; only $ 6.49 + tax for the«Beef & Lamb Gyro». My gyro only take a few minutes to make as the service is quick and efficient. And as Roseville was experiencing a balmy 65° January day, I order my meal for here but take it outside. And for your convenience, they provide several tables and chairs in case you want some fresh air. After looking at the gyro itself, its a pretty decent size. After taking the first bite, it definitely had that authentic Greek flavor. The lamb/beef was plentiful while the Tzatziki(Greek cucumber yogurt dip) was creamy and not too tangy. There was also a decent amount of bright red tomatoes, crunchy lettuce, red onions, and other various Greek-inspired spices to complete the gyro. As I’ve been spoiled eating some amazing tasting gyros in my time(mainly«Café Europa» as my go-to spot), I was pleasantly surprised with the authenticity and quality of food that«Milo’s Cheesesteaks & Gyros offers. And it was actually a step above their location at the Roseville Galleria. Overall, the food is above average, prices are very reasonable, and service was top notch. I will definitely be back next time I’m in this neck of the woods!
