Rick is AMAZING! Been going to Rick for about 2 years now. He has healing hands and knows how to get in deep without hurting or bruising you. All massage therapists are not created equal. Best massage ever — highly recommend!

Rick is the most talented massage therapist I have ever known. Before meeting Rick I had a massage ever so often, knew it was something I should do more regularly but didn’t see the pampering of spas or the rub downs by others «worth it» when trying to pay back student loans, stay career driven, be responsible, work, work, work… That said, I one day found my shoulders were beyond «tight» (probably all that work, work, work) and Living Social just happened to ping me at the right moment. It was a great deal so I signed up for a massage with Rick. This is not a Four Seasons spa experience (a soft terra-​cotta bath robe is provided should you want one though); what I mean is, Rick’s studio is smaller and quaint but that doesn’t (and shouldn’t) matter when we’re talking about the business of getting the best massage of your life. The space is serene and Rick is attentive, careful, respectful and so knowledgeable. I moved to San Francisco two years ago and I come back as often as I can to see Rick — case made.

I’ve been going to Rick for about 8 mos or so now, and every time I get a top notch massage. Rick takes the time to find out if I have any problem areas or muscles that need extra attention. Then he makes sure he hits those areas. He even does different massage techniques to get the muscles to loosen and relax. He makes sure throughout the entire massage that I am comfortable and the pressure is just right.
I always book online and have never had any problems getting an appointment that meets my scheduling needs. Rick is always ready for me, even if I am a bit early. His prices are very fair and reasonable, especially considering he goes above and beyond to provide you with the best massage ever.
I am always completely relaxed and have the best night sleep after one of Rick’s massages. I highly recommend visiting him!

I floated right out of Rick’s studio after my massage, it was amazing. I’m a massage n00b, and he made me feel right at home. He explained everything, asked what my expectations were, and asked me for any specific areas that I wanted to work on. I’m a fan of deferring to the experts, and I told him to go for it; I’m glad that I trusted his instinct, because he certainly knows what he’s doing. He was great at communicating throughout the massage, making sure I was comfortable, and reacting to my spazzy twitches. His pressure and the motion were all very fluid, and consistent; so much so that he lulled me to sleep. His studio is clean, quiet, cute, and ideally located right in the grid. Needless to say, I’ll be visiting him again, very soon, and making it a regular thing!

It had been awhile since I got a massage because the last one I got through Groupon or Living Social was so bad I couldn’t wait for it to be over! But I thought I’d take a chance on Alpha Body Concepts because I really needed to have someone work on my body. I am SO glad I did. This was quite possibly the BEST massage I’ve ever had. It’s hard to compare massages, especially with the passage of time, but I was completely satisfied in every way. Rick was ready for me when I showed up, no waiting, he was very polite and considerate, he really wanted to know what I wanted/didn’t want and asked periodically if the pressure was right. I even fell asleep briefly, something I have never done during a massage. I strongly recommend Rick.

Rick very in tune with his massage work. His style is very fluid and the pressure is always perfect. He follows meridians and lengthens muscles as well as massaging them. He’ll even massage the stomach and abs which feels amazing. I leave very relaxed and happy. I highly recommend Alpha Concepts massage for a healthy mind, body and spirit.

Great work! Rick gives a terrific and relaxing massage so I have been going to his studio for two or three years on a monthly basis. Over the past four years I have had total knee joint replacement in both knees and his work greatly helped in my recuperation along with physical therapy from my Kaiser facility. I also have had occasional aches from sore muscles in the neck, shoulders and hip areas and his massage has helped in alleviating the discomfort.
I have had had massages in China, Thailand, Europe and on several cruise ships, but his is far better than any of them.

After a two year hiatus from massage I scheduled an appointment with Rick for a 90 minute massage. I found his website scheduling easy to use and picked an appointment just a few days later.
The massage itself was great. I have recently had a lot of pain in my right shoulder and told him I wanted him to work on it. He worked out the stiff and sore spots and paid attention to my winces and statements about pressure and sensitivity. Even after spending extra time on the shoulder I still had a complete full body massage and left as usual wanting to do nothing more than just be able to fall back and relax. It was great and I plan to go back.
