Came here to check it out after driving past it for over 4 years. I was coming in for pasta but changed my mind and got an Italian sub with chips and a water. $ 12 is kind of pricey for a medium sandwich, cheap chips and water. The chip selection was just 3BBQ Lays or 1 corn chips. They need to offer more options on chips. They get extra points for carrying Snapple. Sandwich comes out and looks pretty nice. Everything is fresh and put together well. Bread was probably the most impressive. This sandwich fell short for me even with all the fresh ingredients. There’s an art to making an Italian sub sing and this one was boring. I can only assume this place stays in business with local pizza delivery service.

Yuk, very dry pizza, over twenty five dollars for a medium all meat GF, high to begin with, but so chincey on the meat, cheese, and sauce that the pizza was the dry’est we’ve had since domino’s as a kid. they should pay people for their gf crust, not charge four fifty extra. They should go try the GF at Filippi’s and compare. talk about cheese, they poor it on! Borelli, try the competition please. thx

Pretty much as others report. Pizza is really good. Sauce and crust are phenomenal. Best Pizza in RB. Prices outlandish. Expect 2 of the 16-inch Pizzas to set you back between $ 50 — $ 53. When you think about it, really, you can almost go out and have a sit-down Italian meal at a local restaurant with your favorite date /partner for less… When a good pair of16-inch Pizzas at other local pizza places will typically cost between $ 32-$ 38, it does make you think twice before making this place your«standard go-to» pizza place… LOL kind of the Whole Foods(whole paycheck) of the local RB pizza-world.

Love the pizza, it’s one of the best in San Diego. I don’t go as often as I would like to. But definitely one of the best in the county.

Have given this joint a couple tries mainly because they are nearby my pied à terre in RB and based on recommendations. The first time I got a pizza here it was really nothing special in addition to being nearly cold on arrival. The second time was the last straw. The pizza was never delivered despite the store being called four times asking for it. A call the next day seeking the manager resulted in the predictable answer that the manager was not in. So, it’s adiós to these clowns…

I have been ordering from this place for the last couple years. Although the price is a bit expensive I have always enjoyed the quality of food. But my recent experience with their customer service has changed my mind in ever ordering from this place ever again. I had placed an order for a small pizza and a caesar salad for delivery but they placed my pizza to be a mini size. After calling the place when the food was delivered about the incorrect order, the manager promised to send me the small pizza with no extra charge. I had even asked if I should sign the credit card receipt just in case they wanted to charge me the small and I can send back the mini size. The manager reassured me again that they would send my small pizza at no extra cost. After an hour and a half waiting for the small pizza to be delivered, I called and asked about the small pizza and the manager began arguing with me that they are busy and that they will get a mini size out to me when it’s ready. When I argued back about the hour and a half wait and that he now changed the pizza size he was sending me, he continued to talk over me. When I continued to tell him that he wasn’t listening, he became more condescending and then said he cannot help me and hung up. The lack of professionalism and customer service that the manager demonstrated was outrageous. This place should be ashamed at how they treat their customers when it was their mistake on the order to begin with. Even when a customer is more than happy to be charged for their actual order and send back the wrong order, it makes no difference to the manager of this place. He is only concerned about telling you how he is right and you as a customer is wrong. I refuse to order from this place again.

One of the best tasting pizzas I’ve ever had. NOTNY style if that is what you are looking for. Only drawback is the service. The kids taking orders need customer service training.

I recently moved to this area & this place was recommended by a neighbor. To make a LONG story short: I ordered a pizza for pick-up tonight. While I was driving to get it, I noticed that the car in front of me was driving like a MANIAC — speeding & weaving in & out of cars on Rancho Bernardo Roa — I will NEVd — I wrote down the # on the car & when I called to report the CRAZY driver, it was Borelli’s! When I got to Borelli’s to pick up my pizza, I spoke with the Manager, Saul, who seemed to think the whole thing was funny! ITWASN’T FUNNY! This is an elderly community and there is NO reason to speed through a residential community! The driver, Martine(License plate # 7ABC806) has had numerous complaints about his driving yet still works there. I want him FIRED immediately! He is a DANGER to everyone around him! I plan on calling the owner, Denise, on Monday to voice my concern! FYI: after I got my order, I returned to the store to give back my order & get my money back — I will NEVER get food there again and hope YOU don’t either — unless they make the NECESSARY changes to ensure that their product is being delivered in a SAFE way & customer concerns, about their employees, are taken SERIOUSLY!

I’ve had Borrelli’s pizza several times over the last year. Typically, we always order some form of thin crust pizza. The pizza’s are a great size, good amount of toppings, and always taste very fresh. The only issue I’ve seen is that sometimes when I order green peppers, red onions magically how up. While annoying, they are big enough to pick off. Not the end of the world. Just recently I tried their minestrone soup for the first time… YUMMY! I am a HUGE soup snob, as I make my own soups frequently. Next time we order pizza from Borrelli’s when we are visiting family, I’ll be getting a bowl of their amazing soup too!

We’ve only ordered 2 pizzas from here and as of yet food wise it’s 5 stars. I gave 4 because customer service could be better and pizzas could be a little bigger for the price. We’ve tried the cheeseburger pizza and the all meat pizza. Both a size large and ran us about 23 bucks a piece. It is on the pricey side but I will still go back because I enjoy the toppings, they seem fresh. I let my bf choose the night we got the meat pizza because I wouldn’t ever willingly order that but to my surprise it was pretty good. I even left the sausage on there which I normally pick out anywhere else. They don’t put a lot of marinara sauce which I love so I can enjoy all that cheese and toppings. As stated above I gave it a 4 because of service it seems there are a few employees that have that just-out-of-high-school look and it kind of bleeds through in their customer service. Also, I see their delivery car driving around the neighborhood and lets just say they could take the speed down a notch and park better. I saw it taking up two spots one time when I was stopping at that center for something else. The parking already sucks there! The customer service doesn’t bother me as much as other reviews because I really enjoy their pizza. I only hope that they would take their prices down a notch. Suggestion: It’s not a very big place and while there is seating it does not have a sit down vibe, this place is better for delivery or take out.

We got delivery which took over an hour(they did warn us about an hour) but we kinda of expected the wait at the height of dinner time so it was okay and planned accordingly. We ordered a large thin pepperoni, a 14″ gluten-free(gf) pepperoni and mushroom and the Borrelli’s Special House Veggie Salad with italian dressing. The pizzas were very good and for a gf pizza it was quite good, not my fav but still better than most. The salad was excellent, lots of veggies which was nice! The delivery driver was very kind — great service!

I was very disatisfied with the service I received. Was told to try this restaurant. With it being an italian restaurant, I took a stab in the dark and ordered chicken parmigian. After the driver dropped it off i found NO utensils or napkins. I immediately called and informed the female on the phone. She replied that it clearly states on the menu that you must ask for utensils. All i can say is wow. Food was good even cold but the service attitude is lacking. Working a contract in the area and I have to order delivery for at least the next 2 weeks. I can tell you where I wont be ordering from.

Borrelli’s will be our go-to delivery spot from now on! We haven’t been able to find a good NY-style pizza place since we moved back to the west coast last year, and this place comes very close to the real thing. I’m just bummed we didn’t try it sooner! We ordered a large ½ cheese ½ Borrelli’s special and it was excellent. The crust was exactly how I like and the toppings were very generous. Can’t wait to try more!

Where should I start my review? Should I start with the overpriced pizza or the skimpy amount of fries they give you for $ 3 plus dollars. How about I start with the service. I will say that the service is great. Very friendly staff, smiles, and greeted us as we walked in. That’s the great thing about this place, If I could rate them just for that. I would rate them 3 ½ stars. Let’s talk about the food, shall we? Pizza was average at it’s best, I mean the crust was good, cheese was fair, and toppings were decent amounts of it. We ordered the buffalo chicken pizza(it’s says«Hot»), and my eyes were like«YES!!», but as I tasted the pizza, it wasn’t beyond hot, not even mild in my books. I believe they should add more hot sauce to kick it that«kick factor». Price was like $ 18.99 for a small? Really? Really? I know I could go on and say«I could go to this place and get something better, blah blah blah» I’m not going to go that far and rip this business apart, I just want to be fair and tell it like how It should be done. Now, the French fries. I was seriously in the mood for some fries, but when I got this ridiculous amount of fries for the price that I paid. I was like«Whoa, for reals? Did the cook forget to add the rest of the amount of French fries?» I really searched inside that white bag hoping they had some spare fries that just so happened to fall outside and magically be there waiting for me to eat them, sadly… that wasn’t the case. You could review my pictures of what I’m talking about the French fries scam, yeah, I said scam cause they ripped me off some fries. $ 3 dollars and change for that amount of fries? Pass! Lastly, Here is what I suggest to fix simple little problems that I encountered. 1.) Add more sauce to that pizza. When you place«Hot» on the menu, we as customers want Hot. 2.) Please don’t skimp on the French fries. When you charge that amount for fries, You guys should add a little more inside the bag. 3.) Don’t change the service or that friendly smile. I don’t remember her name, but she was the only girl working on 3÷23÷14 and she was great. Super friendly and nice, thumbs up for that. Thanks for reading my review on your business and hope you improve on this matter.
