The gyro I’ve had for lunch was delicious! However, the service was not good at all… We were ignored a lot, the young ladies serving us were not interested in explaining the menu, the food, or even exchanging usual pleasantries you would expect from the service staff… Also, the interior is the restaurant was definitely like going back in time to early 80s… Very clean though, which is a bonus! The find didn’t disappoint so that is good

One of our favorites! We always purchase Gyro plates or salads! They are delicious! The restaurant is adorable and has a homey type feel! We enjoy going in there but mostly choose to have it to-go! The staff is very friendly and always willing to talk while we wait…

dined in for a late lunch about 3pm on a wednsday and found the place pretty slow. i ate inside despite it being a nice day with some folks on the outdoor seating area. i ordered a lunch special, the pork lttuce wraps. it came with soup wich was lemon chicken rice and navy bean. i added a 2nd cup of soup to try both as i love both flavors. my meal came out within 10 minutes of ordering with entrée right behind that. bth soups were great and the pork was tender and mosit. veggies were fresh and crisp. for $ 9 a plate this was a nice lunch deal. good service, good food, good price.

I’ve been here several times including today for the lunch brunch. I found the food OK, Greek mixed with breakfast items(eggs, bacon, sausage, French toast and potatoes), champagne upon request for $ 3.00 dollars more. What really turned me off and set the pace for my dinning experience was the bad attitude of staff. First when it turned out we had 3 more people to join our party we asked to turn the empty table next to us and join it to ours, NO! We were told. Then two of our parties changed seats the female server became upset scolding us and being rude. This will cause me to think twice about coming back.

I have been here twice in the past 2 months, the portions are GIGANTIC and the prices are affordable. FOOD: authentic greek food, Gyro Salad: it is huge, a great deal, $ 10.95 for a great size, the meat was good and almost the same portion of meat that you get on a sandwich. Chicken Sandwich– $ 6 – 8 — great size and comes with fries. Served on a pita with tziki Greek Soup of the day — i think it was a lemon orzo soup, it was tasty and had a great flavor STAFF: i will say they arent rushing you in or out of the place, the waitstaff is a bit on the slower side so dont come here if you are in a rush. The staff is friendly but I wasnt over impressed or underpressed by them. AMBIANCE: Lots of Greek décor, could be updated but not a deal breaker. TIP: i heard they have a belly dancer on saturday night!

A meal at Troy’s is like eating at your friend’s house whose mom just so happens to make some delicious, authentic Greek food. Hands down one of my favorite restaurants in Allied Gardens, this neighborhood gem never disappoints. This is a great spot to enjoy a meal with family and friends. The menu, while obviously featuring Greek specialties, also boasts some all American options including a pretty legit tuna melt. There’s certainly something for everyone here. I usually like to start out with the hummus or the lemon chicken soup. One of the waiters here was even nice enough to teach me how to order the lemon chicken soup in Greek, but I’m sure I can say it better than I can spell it so I’ll spare you that hatchet job. For the main event, you can’t go wrong with the grape leaves(dolmades), anything with gyro meat, or their salads. If after you devour your meal you’re feeling like a little sweetness in you life, order the baklava. Trust me, just order it. I really could go on and on about how I love the down home feel and friendly service here, but you should go check that out for yourself.

It was an ok Greek restaurant, which we tried because of the Groupon they offered. Tried the Gyro and Chicken Souvalaki combo, with a side of Clam Chowder. And the Mousakka with a side of Chicken soup. Overall food was good. Chicken Souvalaki was flavorful but had too much fat

We came here on Friday night. I haven’t experienced such prestige customer service from a server in a long time. He was very nice, accomodating, attentive and efficient! I had the chicken athena, salad and my boyfriend had the ½ lemon chicken and lemon soup which is way better here than anywhere we have had in the past. The chicken athena was nothing short but dynamite! It was delicious, still juicy, very rich and definitely not recommended if you’re watching your waist line! Haha. We have never noticed this place before, but we live up the street and will definitely be back for Greek food.

I’m trying to broaden my epicurean horizons by trying new places via Amazon Local and Groupon, and when I saw that my coupon for Troy’s was going to expire, I told myself that I would come here for brunch this past Sunday. Normally the brunch is about $ 9.95(the champagne version is about $ 13.95), and even with my drink, my coupon still covered everything. The brunch was quite delicious — while there’s the usual breakfast items like sausage, eggs, bacon, and waffles, it’s the lunch items that really steal the show. From the tender pot roast, to the well seasoned gyros, to the creamy pastisio(a baked casserole with macaroni, ground beef, and topped with a creamy bechamel sauce), and even the mousaka(another baked casserole, this one made with eggplant, ground beef, potatoes, and also topped with bechamel) — nothing disappointed. Even the spanakopita and baklava were on point — the baklava in particular wasn’t overly sticky, which is the way I like it. No falafel on the buffet table, though — although there are Greek salads and tabbouleh(bulgur, parsley, and tomato) available. Service was great — they kept my drink refilled and even made some small talk when they found out I was a Unilocaler due to the Unilocal charm on my cell phone. And the restaurant itself is pretty clean; despite a busy brunch service, the staff did everything they could to clean the tables between customers. Looking forward to coming back to hopefully get the light lunch special after work… especially as I have one more coupon for Troy’s that expires this Wednesday.(Who knows, maybe they’ll have the belly dancers on the floor by the time I get there!)
