Please know that something is wrong with your phone numbers. Both fax and restaurant is coming back as the phone number is no longer in service and then they try to recommend other businesses in the recording that aren’t even in San Francisco! There is also no other way to reach the business, no email or app for ordering, which is also a problem. But yes, we like this restaurant for years!

My favorite sushi place. They accept bitcoin! Service is attentive and friendly. The restaurant is very well lit and has a great lively ambiance. The prices are terrific — you get a lot of food for your money. Just around the corner from the Internet Archive. Come in and pay with bitcoin!

I think this place is closed. The windows have been covered in paper since December. That’s a bummer b/c this was my go to place when i volunteered at my son’s school

This place is awful. Horrible food, has messed up my takeout order a few times, refused to fix it or give my money back, has hung up on me when complaining about this mess up and it’s all around low quality sushi with horrible customer service. I live a block away and will make it a point to never come here again. Too bad with the great proximity to my house.

3 – 4 stars for food, 1 star for customer service over the phone I have been getting delivery from these guys since they opened. I love their bento boxes, their ramen and odon soup, and I love most of their sushi. However, I’m writing this review, not because of their food, but because their phone ordering process has gotten so annoying I just can’t take it anymore! Here are my gripes. First, train your phone employees. They should know better than to speak when you are trying to give them your phone number or credit card number. Instead, I have to repeat it 5 times because they keep saying«ok» or «uh huh» in the middle of a strand of numbers! Stop! How have you not figured this out by now? Second, give them enough power and enough thoughtfulness to treat customers with a little care. Case in point, it used to be $ 25 minimum order to get a free item(soda or California roll). They raised it to $ 30. I’m not happy about this but it is what it is. However, tonight when I ordered, I asked what my total was so I could see if I would get a free item. It was $ 30 and change. I started to ask for the free item and was told it had to be the price before tax, not after. To me, this seems incredibly petty and short sighted. Especially for someone who’s a repeat customer. And finally, they used to send a driver with his own credit card scanner. It was quick, easy, and painless. They have gone back to taking credit cards over the phone. I’m happy to do this most of the time, but when the person taking the order asked for the ccv number on back as well as my zip code, I decided this was getting uncomfortable. I for one, have NEVER been asked for as much info as they ask all in one place. What do you want now? My social security number? My first born? Come on! It’s bad enough that I have to train your employees not to repeat my credit card number back to me, but then you also want all this info? It just doesn’t make sense. Anyway, that’s my rant. We’ll be looking for a new delivery place.

Waitress does not understand English well. or just trying to get more orders that you didn’t order. Had to call her on their telephone just to ask for more tea, while I was sitting by the window. Lousy Service. Their bento box with tempura not consistent, sometimes it is good, sometimes overcooked. Only friendly, when you are about to pay. Not ever going back there. It is just too bad, that on a good day, their food has potential to be good. Maybe, change the waitress who is more attentive or understand basic English. ONLYHAVEONEWAITRESSFORTHEWHOLEPLACE!!! ignores other patron who are already eating, even when you are giving her eye contact and sign language. lousy!!!

I’m giving this place 4 stars because of their prices and service. Seems like a family place, fairly uncrowded and the nicest décor. I think it may be Chinese family run. The food earned a cumulative 3.5 stars. 5 for the bento box, 3 for the chirashi, and -.5 for meh Cali rolls. Note: if you love your Cali rolls go somewhere else. Here they are much more of a side dish than an entrée, with what seems like not much effort put into them. Chirashi had loads of rice that was a bit sweet for my taste, but was much better than the turpentine flavor sushi rice I’ve had at similarly priced restaurants. At $ 11 it’s some of the cheapest chirashi you’ll find in the city. I loved the sesame seeds on top, but the fish didn’t seem 100% fresh, especially the salmon): Bento box had salmon teriyaki, Cali rolls, and tempura. Tempura and salmon teriyaki were superb and I will def order this when I come back next time.

A little gem buried at the end of Clement Street. Affordable and tasty, but set your expectations — this isn’t a Michelin star kind of place. That said, the bento boxes are awesome values. Their $ 12 dinner bento is unbeatable. I usually get the beef, salmon, and katsu bento with miso and salad. Heads up, this is the kind of place where the servers will let you sit there all night unless you call them over.

Ive had delivery from here a couple of times and it’s usually good. Big portions for the price, the lunch and dinner bentos are great. Not amazing but pretty solid.

I ordered take out. Miso soup was fine, Tuna Seaweed Salad was ok, but covered in a a lot of sauce that covered the actual taste. The Pink Lady Roll was terrible! The rice was definitely not fresh, and the roll was again covered in some sauce that masked the entire taste of the fish(which also didn’t seem too fresh).

Not the best, but not the worst either. It does the job. The portions are generous. The shrimp tempura was a bit over-fried as the batter was a bit too browned. Beef teriyaki was ok. And the avocado in the sushi was not quite ripe. The place is clean and there was no wait on a weeknight for a table.

I ordered takeout, which came much faster than Grubhub’s expected delivery time(about 20mins sooner, on a Friday night!). Food was awesome! What I Got: -#50. California Roll: So good! Can’t really mess up a good ol’ Cali Roll! -#9. Kaki Fried: Warm, juicy and fried to perfection! 1st time having these and they were great! Will order again. You get A LOT for less than $ 6! I couldn’t finish entire order alone! -#54. New York Roll: Good. Also 1st time trying these, not my cup of tea but still pretty good. Very large rolls and you get a bunch with one order! Overall: Quick delivery, huge portion sizes for affordable prices and tasty food! I will be surly be keeping Sake Zone’s menu for future orders. *However, one thing to note: on the takeout menu minimum delivery is listed as $ 10 but on the min. delivery is $ 15. If I had known that I did not have to order so much food to get it delivered to my home then I would have ordered less food, portion sizes are large and day old sushi is not good lol! Overall though I am happy that I tried new foods, which turned out to be delicious! Thanks Sake Zone, you’ve just gained a new customer! I will definitely be calling in when I’m having another sushi craving :) !

Ordered delivery via Grubhub. It has taken 1 hour and 20 minutes and counting. Granted Outside Lands just started today but there should be a heads up about your order taking this long, especially if its sushi. Ended up cancelling the order after 90 minutes

Every time I come to San Fran I take a seat at Sake Zone. The staff is always professional and polite, and the food is exceptional, it’s rare when I’m let down. The golden tofu is to die for if you are gunning for a succulent appetizer with a sweet taste. I also frequent the dragon roll. Plus, they use glassware branded with the neighboring Internet Archive logo, a fantastic non-profit. +early Bitcoin adoption.

No NONOONOOO. I ordered for lunch, 2 spicy tuna rolls, and a chicken teriyaki lunch box at 12:30. Said 45 – 60 minutes. Arrive after 2:10 The tuna was brown. not a ruby red or pink or anything that is edible, smelled way off and were HORRIBLY put together. The teriyaki sauce was water and bland the chicken was tough and fatty. i mean its chicken and i got all of 4 edible pieces that wasn’t even worth eating. the side salad was eh, the miso sup tasted like every other Japanese place(for the most part) it was fine. the rice was over done and mushy. the California rolls that come with the bento box are the size of pennies, and had really brown avocado in it. horrible. The salmon sashimi was the highlight of the 2304 items i had(minus more undercooks rice under it). i stopped eating everything and through it out. Next time i decide to be lazy and not get my go to sushi i will by far re think it and remember this experience.

Awesome chicken yakitori with lots of veggies. Tempura was fried correctly. But the sashimi was not up to par. If it would have been, I would have given it 4.5−5 stars. But gotta come correct with the sashimi Sake Zone!

I work for a pharmaceutical company and Sake Zone is my go to for catering orders! They do a phenomenal job, it’s free delivery and very reasonably priced! I usually order the following: — 72 piece mixed sushi platter — 4 — 8 orders of chicken teriyaki lunch special(I have them combine chicken in one platter, rice separately, tempura separately) — 4 — 8 orders of beef teriyaki lunch special(combined like chicken teriyaki lunch special so it is more like a catering order) — 2 — 6 orders of the steamed edamame — Some specialty rolls including the rainbow roll, soft shell crab roll — 2– 4 orders of gyoza — Udons — On occasion, donburi Yung(owner) and Cindy always provide the best service and also give me free plates, flatware and napkins for however many people are in my catering order. I love the tempura batter… always crispy and tasty.

the bowl of Udon with chicken, egg, and tempura seems very mimimal, I was expecting more Tempura but they only gave two small shrimp, no tempura veggies? I should have orderd the Bento box instead, thats what most other people were having the Bento box seems to be the most popular item from what I saw, I thought the food was satisfactory but Ive had better and they could use some improvement on portions service was a kind of slow

This place is priced reasonably for non-authentic Japanese cuisine. The food was alright. I’m giving this place 2 stars because I had a stomach ache from my beef teriyaki. I noticed that side of my beef was still raw. However, I guess there was still other raw parts still.

Lunch bento box with tuna AND salmon sashimi, side salad, miso soup, rice, and four pieces of california roll for ~$ 7 total. Why don’t they just let me rob them? I could turn a half-blind eye to the shitty(albeit friendly) service and ignore my inner sushi-snob when food is this cheap and doesn’t give me food poisoning.
