For a neighborhood bar its cool. On weekends people come from all over and every age group is covered. Music is all over the place, just as the wait staff. My first time, I wasn’t too sure about checking it out. Word of mouth told me it’s filled with area rednecks. LoL. I like rednecks, so I went anyway. If you’ve seen the ladies that come in here, you’d know what I mean. Let me tell you that on a Friday night I sat at a table and waited over thirty minutes(in the dining area) for a waitress to approach me. Twice I got up and went to the bar and twice the bartender told me to wait on a server, because service would be quick. Yeah, not so much. Chick was waiting on a table full of people partying and it seemed that she knew everyone. As a new guy; potentially new business walking in the door, someone should get a handle on the waitresses and what their up to. In other words, supervise. I was fucking irritated. Earlier that night, I called ahead and found out what time they served food till and decided to check them out. Since chick dragged ass to get my order, I missed out on food and ended up leaving. The worst part was that I cabbed it out there from my hotel. There isn’t much open out there in Santa Rosa late night unless you head into the downtown area which I was trying to avoid. My next visit was better, I tried them out on a weekday afternoon. I had a couple drinks during happy hour but because of my previous experience, didn’t try any of their food. Instead of(only) showing the locals or repeats a good time, try to show the same courtesy to new business. We may surprise you and come back again.

When they first opened, I went and was disappointed. All fired food on BIG bowls of lettuce and lots of tension among waitstaff. I revisited last week and it was awesome. Staff was super friendly the BBQ pork sliders were awesome. The chef even made fried pickles for us even though they were no longer on the menu. Great lunch spot.

Hey y’all. Doc’s is a throwback to the good olé days where you just kick back and relax with your favorite date or with your family. Karaōke is a draw and Mike is the host with skills to make you feel«at home» the moment you are greeted. Give it a try and if you’ve been disappointed give it another try. It’s a welcome change of pace from high-end anxiety ridden eateries have alot of superficial gleam but no heart and soul.

When they first(re?)-opened, the food was great. My favorites were the truffle fries and jalapeño mozzarella sticks. YUM! Unfortunately, they have neither of these items on their menu anymore!!! I was very disappointed because these 2 unique items were the main reasons I chose to go here. The regular fries are good too, but not enough to keep me coming back. I love the pretzel buns on their burgers. The food is decent. I might go back,(I do live very close) but I’m definitely not as eager…

I used to like this place and still do but a few times I went to sing Karaōke and the guys there let their friends go up several times in a row and skipped the people they didn’t know. I avoid the place like the plague now. I liked the Chinese food better than the crappy food they have now. They basically got in with the wrong crowd. I tell everyone I know to avoid the place now for fear of running into their«friends».

Great atmosphere! I went there on superbowl and they had a bunch of huge tvs so I didn’t miss a beat.(Especially the commercials which are my favorite). I ordered a bloody mary and it was one of the best I’ve had since I lived in San Diego(and they make a mean bloody mary in San Diego). The corn fritters were to die for!

As a local watering hole this place is nice to sit down have a beer and talk with the wonderful people who frequent it as such. There is also a restaurant attached, but the food is terrible. Quite a shame as the place has a lot of potential. The food is right out of a frozen bag of goodies at best. They would do better to buy prepackaged food from Trader Joe’s or Costco. Hopefully the owners will figure it out before the doors close and bring us some of the wonderful food that we’ve come to expect in Sonoma County. Chicken Fettuccine with frozen vegetables, just aint gonna cut it. On a Friday night there may be 3 tables seated in a 1400 sq ft restaurant. Hmm.

I was at Doc’s for open mic stand up comedy night on tuesdays, a great place to step up and try something new if you have wanted to take a stab at the«tough crowd»… After my experience there I think they should have a sign posted that reads… «WARNING!!! Do NOT purchase food at Doc Holiday’s without confirming the price beforehand!!!» Not even a side order of French fries… They will ___you in the ___and call you Sally! I feel violated. So I’m hungry but I am not a super huge fan of the burgers at Doc Holiday’s so as I sit down I ask for some fries…(without looking at the menu). It’s time to leave so I had a $ 5 bill out ready to get some change back and was told«that’ll be $ 8.» wtf?! This ain’t a Warriors game!!! Last time I checked potatoes weren’t on the Threatened and Endangered Plant list!(cause I check weekly)… So I clarify with the bartender, «I only got French fries… Are you serious, $ 8?». «I know, yeah it’s gonna change soon.» he responded politely. So then I’m pretty pissed… The server comes by and I tell her, «You should have told me the French fries were EIGHTDOLLARS!», she responds with«it’s right here in the menu.»(which I wasn’t even handed) she responds with a «sorry». No offer to shave off a couple of dollars, or even admit that she should could have mentioned the arm I was about to surrender in exchange for some potato. I hope she’s working on commission cuz that ___________isn’t getting a penny of gratuity from me. The only tip she’s getting from me is to inform the customers that they are in for a financial burden before they order FRENCHFRIES for $ 8… _________!(had to throw that in again at the end… It just sounded good). That is all… Have a GREAT night! ;)

Well, I’m going to assume that the other reviewers were talking about the bar at Doc Holliday’s, because the restaurant was terrible. To set the scene, it’s 6:00 in the evening and we’re looking for a quick, casual dinner for my wife and I and our two kids. After walking through the cloud of cigarette smoke from the bar patrons hanging out in front(which wafted through the restaurant periodically during the whole experience), we arrive in the entry way where we can’t honestly tell if the restaurant is open or not. I had been to Rita’s once, and it really didn’t look any different. I see a waiter(who turns out to be the only waiter) milling around toward the back of the place and when he catches a glimpse of us he hurriedly makes his way to the front, grabs a few menus, and seats us. Before I forget, the waiter was the only reason this place got ONE star instead of ZERO, because I felt bad for the guy who was really hustling and trying to hold the place together. We get seated and peruse the menu, which is lacking. A few sandwiches, a few burgers, salads and a couple of entrees. The options for sides consist of french fries, coleslaw, or green salad… period. Baked potato? No. Steamed veg? No. This is a sit down restaurant, not a barbecue joint, but whatever. This is frustrating mostly because we’re trying to watch what we eat and the options are pretty narrow here. We’re able to place our order fairly quickly considering this guy is running around like a one-legged man in an ass kicking contest. Then the fun begins. When we sat down, there was no music playing. Then, some random music starts in the dining room, but it’s blended with the rock music coming out of the bar. Next thing we know, some guy comes in and starts playing the piano over everything else. I really don’t know if he’s a patron or an employee or what, but he helps himself to the piano that’s in a closed part of the dining room, but manages to play it loud enough to add to the cacophony. This all goes on for about 20 minutes while we’re waiting for our food, all the while feeling the stress dripping off of this poor waiter who is running back and forth between tables, and the bar, and the kitchen despite the fact that there are only four tables worth of people sitting down to eat. Finally, the food arrives. My wife’s chicken tastes like they baked it this morning, chilled it, then brought it out and put some barbecue sauce on it and stuck it on the grill to heat it through. Her green salad comes with vinaigrette which is mostly olive oil. Not wanting to order fries, she gets coleslaw, which looks straight from the carton. My son gets the cheeseburger, which is a pre-formed patty, and my daughter gets barbecue pork sliders, which actually weren’t bad. The burger and the sliders come on a «pretzel bun» which is interesting. Think soft pretzel dough baked into the shape of a hamburger bun. My cobb salad has cheap cubed deli turkey, and the usual veggies, but is on par with what I could have purchased in the Safeway deli down the way for about half the price. We finish our dinner, and wait another ten minutes for the guy to bring us our check. I have credit card in hand waiting for him so he takes it right back. Fifteen minutes go by and I see the guy going from one computer terminal to another, throwing up his hands in frustration, bringing in some lady(Don’t know if she was a manager or what… it was the first time I’d seen her and the next time I saw her she was out front smoking.), and then he finally stops by and says he’s having a computer glitch and doesn’t know what the problem is. Another couple of minutes go by before I get up and ask him for my card back. I go to the ATM next door, get cash out, and come on back. Finally, the bill is settled and this experience is over. We head for the door, take a deep breath and hold it, and make our way through the even thicker cloud of cigarette smoke and back out to the parking lot.

This place is great! Nice atmosphere — the other review at this time calls it a ‘hole in the wall’?? he must live in a mansion because this place has a beautiful wood bar, nice carpet, and each time I go in here it’s nicer. Kevin, one of the owners is always running around making the place nicer, taking care of people, fixing cocktails, pouring a good brew! And the Flat Screen TV’s just keep on coming — GREATFORSPORTS! I was in there last Sunday and there were 5 games going on at once — it was awesome! The menu has improved and is more focused on good sandwiches, juicy hamburgers, salads, appetizers and delicious — NACHO’s. Leslie makes a mean bloody mary too — check it out. Last I heard they were waiting for a 70″ TV. Paradise I tell you.

Nice place for lunch. I see real effort from the new owners to keep the place clean, cool and pleasant. Some renovation done, it’s a comfy place. Ordered the happy hour special pork sliders: delicious! Pretzel roll was fresh and soft. Bartender was pleasant, helpful, and made a stiff drink! I can’t wait to come back to try the comedy night, bands and family karaōke! I will definitely be back!

My girlfriend and I went for cocktails and dinner tonight and had a great time. Excellent food and a couple of fabulous margaritas. They still have one of the old Rita’s favorites, the crab rangoon wontons which are the best ever. I had the delicious pork sliders and Phyllis had the cowboy burger — both yummy. Great value too! That 10 beer tap we heard was being installed sounds like a perfect reason to go back soon. We got a personal visit from the new owner, Jeff and also the chef, Dan. Both were wonderful. We were told that there was going to be live music but didn’t stay for that, but it sounded like fun. Thumbs up!
