My review isn’t about the in store experience I had. It’s about the manager and the fact that my identity was stolen and an unauthorized credit card transactions was done at this location and the manager did nothing about it. I received a letter from corporate telling me I was denied for a credit card for pier 1. I called this location and asked who can I speak to because I didn’t apply for one. Long story short after speaking to their fraud prevention department I was told that the credit card application was done at THISLOCATION and to contact their manager asap. I called her and gave her the information about the application date and demanded to know which employee ran my credit there so I can ask what form of identification was used to verify my application. She flat out said she can’t help and had no remorse for what had taken place. She defended her employee and said she followed protocol — clearly she did not! Needless to say I’m filing a police report against them, and when I find out what they used to «verify» my identity I’ll be sure to pursue legal action.

For years I shopped at Pier 1, purchasing items for my home, outdoors, gifts and particularly loved shopping for Holiday decorations. NOMORE! This location was so rude to me a few years ago. Yes, I still get a little upset about a tradition of shopping at Pier 1 that is now void. I was shopping on a Sunday for some Christmas items. My total purchase was around $ 45.00. I had a $ 100 bill. The cashier said they did not have enough change. At that time there were three cash registers. I asked if he could check with the other registers. He asked the manager, where she curtly responded«NO». The team of 4 cashiers looked puzzled… a little frozen. It was clear, she had the final say. I went over to her and asked her why? She was putting things on a shelf. She never turned around to acknowledge me, simply responded,“that’s our policy”. I didn’t understand what that meant. It was a very bizarre scenario… everyone was just standing around as if the dictator had spoken. I called the main office the next day. In short, they too said, it is the store policy that should the registers not have enough cash, they can refuse your purchase. I told them, no one even checked the other registers and the treatment was inexcusable! Yes, I could have charged, but, during the holidays I allocate my funds to spend for different things. What is wrong with using cash? The good news, is after that treatment, I shopped for the first time for my Holiday decorations at Z Gallerie. I am sooo happy! Their decorations are really beautiful and work with both modern and traditional styles. Yes, this really happened!

Love this place! They always have such pretty stuff here. From pillows to table décor and even furniture. There a little pricey but have such awesome stuff. There’s always someone around ready to help with any questions. The clearance section is a must see when you go in. More than enough parking in the back. Or you can park in the front at meter parking on Ventura.

THEWORSTCUSTOMERSERVICEEVER !!! had been attempting to purchase a piece of patio furniture — as the employee was speaking to me about this a very rude customer barged up — the employee turned her back on me to speak to this woman(who wanted to know«when is the next sale ?») I said to the customer, «excuse me, I was in the midst of purchasing something» … the Employee turned & walked away !! Needless to say I went to another store & made a several hundred $$ purchase ! The employees always seem overwhelmed, unhappy &RUDE . A pity as Pier 1 is certainly not the only store of its type any longer … the TJX’s & Marshalls & Cost Plus Imports surpass Pier 1 in customer service(&PRICE) hands down !!!

Only problem with this particular Pier 1 is the parking. You can park out front or in the back but they do not offer their own private parking lot. They do seem to be well stocked and offer a vibrant of colors which I love. The clearance items here are wonderful and there always seems to be something on sale. The staff is very helpful and friendly. You can even stop by the next door Starbucks, grab a coffee and enjoy shopping.

There’s a really sweet girl who works there! She’s very pretty and her name is Jennifer. She helped me out when I couldn’t find some of the items I wanted to get. I will be going to this location more often because of her awesome customer service!

As a Pier 1 card holder, I’m clearly a fan. I’m also a fan of waiting tip the last minute when things go on clearance there. I’ve had some pretty amazing finds there. Had a issue with a glass pitcher that started cracking. I brought it in and without a question, they swapped it out even months after purchase. Customer service has always been top priority at Pier 1. Staff is always friendly and most helpful. I always try to stop in and look around when I’m in the area.

UPDATE: I just wanted to say that I’m incredibly honored that«Jennifer S.» used an entire Unilocal review to talk about me. It gave me a good laugh for the morning. Clearly this is a friend of the manager at that particular Pier one if not that manager herself using a fake name. Otherwise, why get so heated over another Unilocal reviewer’s opinion? P.S…If you actually look at my Unilocal reviews instead of just looking at my tag line, one would see that I have reviewed several places quite positively. However, what I am is honest and it’s honesty that is the reason I put that particular tag line. It refers to people who need to write a page worth’s of a review on me rather than particular store. Jennifer S, were you with me that day? Did you experience what I experienced that day? No? Oh, so then your claim of me making slanderous comments aren’t really valid are they? Is it possible that perhaps not everyone gets the same treatment at a particular store? I’d say so. P.S …The«sherlock holmes of pillow shopping» … Loved that line. Kuddos to you on that. Super funny. I may write a character inspired from that :)
