The manager of this business DUC. Is very rude. He took a $ 100 from my friend he claimed was counterfeit. He called the police and made a big seen. Was rude to not only me and my friend but also Vallejo Police. Since I gave my friend the money I went to get it back. He has refused to return the money. Told me to come back in the morning after he verified the money was real at the bank. Rather than going to the bank first to resolve this issue. He sits in the restaurant eating telling me to wait, it’s too early! This guy Duc is not only rude but lazy. A very poor manager and I recommend they get rid of him. I have been to this restaurant 6 – 8 times with success. I know that only happened because I didn’t have to deal with this guy. After then speaking with the owner Tran. He is just as inept as the manager Duc. You can refuse service, you can ask for a different type of payment. What you can’t do is take money from a person and deny them goods or service. That’s called steeling! Learn the laws and be respectful to your customers! Take your money somewhere else!

Clean, friendly service and awesome broth in the phở! Very good first visit, I will for sure be visiting again. The peanut sauce for the spring rolls was also very yummy.

So, yesterday my husband and I went to Phở. We got #2 on the menu. We were not impressed. There was two pieces of meat in the phở. Isn’t phở suppose to come with more than two pieces of meat?! The Spring rolls were good. They were decent. The peanut sauce was good. Ahh… I just give 2 out of 5 because their service was okay. Honest Review! –Poison Ivy

Phở in Vallejo?! YES! I was visiting the bestie up in the bay and on my last night in town, we headed for a cute dinner together at Phở #1. For some reason, I’m drawn to the Phở places with random #s behind the name. If you’re doing too much with your name – Absolutely Phở-bulous, 9021-Phở, etc etc – I feel like you’re probably doing too much with your food. Anywho, I got the Phở with Beef & Brisket. My first test is always with the broth. Phở #1’s soup was just the way I like it – full of flavor with a dash of star anise. The beef was tasty especially when I dipped it with a little hoison and sriracha. I also swirled some of the two sauces in the soup to add a bit more kick and sweetness to it all. Before I knew it, I had inhaled the entire bowl of noodle, beef, and soup. My tummy was warm and happy, and I was ready to snooze on my plane home to LA. Service was quick and efficient, and there’s a huge parking lot that is shared with another restaurant. I will definitely come back to Phở #1 the next time I am in town.

My favorite place to get phở! I’m actually sad I moved to Santa Rosa because I can’t go here as often as I used to. My typical go-to is the basic steak phở with extra steak and thai iced tea(sometimes with boba, sometimes not). Never had a bowl that wasn’t ridiculously delicious and didn’t hit the spot. I also love their new location as it is much bigger than the original little place and much more open. Also service is always quick and the food takes no time to make it to your table. Next time I’m in Napa visiting my grandmother I’ll be paying Phở #1 a visit for sure!

I’ve been coming to this place for 2 years. When they changed locations, I came even more often! My friends and I usually choose phở as our go to place when we’re all back from college and we catch up over some bomb food. I usually try to order different thing whenever I go and every time I do, it’s always really good! My friends are consistent with their orders. One of my friends always gets #82 with no vegetables. One time they gave it to her with vegetables and the lady who brought it out recognized us and said she’d change it since my friend always gets no vegetables haha. If I were to recommend something I’d probably recommend any of their beef phở, #47(to me this is the best bang for your buck), and their beef stews too! Also their spring rolls are so good. Tastes really fresh with the herbs they put in! This place is always consistent. I think that’s what I like about it. Also, it doesn’t make me feel sluggish/tired after eating there which is usually how I felt after I ate at the other phở places in Vallejo. They probably don’t use as much msg as the other places do but that’s just an observation haha. Phở 1 is my go to place!

Love it! Love it! Love it! I am here at least once a week. Fresh, fast, hot reliably good. I have not ever had a bad meal at this place. I go there when I feel a cold coming on, I go there when I want good piping hot fresh food. The avocado shake is so so good. I get it all the time, the strawberry drink is so so good I get it all the time … Really get there!!! You will love it. No pretense, no fanfare, just good food, a great staff and good prices.

The new location is nice with plenty of parking. It is decorated in «modern Asian international». Lots of slate grey and lime green. There is plenty of seating and a couple of flat screen TVs. But you don’t go there for the décor. You go there because you have a primal urge. You need meat, chicken or seafood served in a bowl of steaming broth and rice noodles. You crave it. You must have it. And Phở #1 delivers. Like that high school friend who had all the best connections, Phở #1 feeds your craving. This place simply has some of the best Phở in the North Bay, if not the entire Bay Area. Don’t believe me? Walk in with a ten spot and try Phở #1 for yourself. Order a «small bowl» and tea. Walk out with $ 3.50 change, full and happy. And then you will return to feed your craving.

I’ve been coming to this Phó for years, even before they moved to their new location. I always order #21 chicken noodle soup, their spring rolls, fried chicken wings, and the rest of my family orders the seafood soup. I also love their boba drinks(cantaloupe and honeydew) and lemonade soda. The sizes the soups come in are a small and large. Before they moved to their new location they had a medium size as well, but now their size small is more like a medium. I love their new place. The color scheme is bright and pleasing to the eyes and there’s finally enough room for people to walk around and move their chair without hitting anyone. There is also big screen TVs around too. You can always count on fast service and your food to be fresh and hot! This is the Phó to try out if you’re ever in Vallejo :)

I crave Phở all the time, and this is definitely my favorite place to satisfy my cravings. Whenever I’m back in Vallejo, I make sure to eat here because Phở at other places just isn’t the same. Atmosphere — this restaurant used to be located in a much smaller place, but it moved a while ago to this new location. The new place is very clean, well-lit, and has TV’s for anyone that wants to watch a sports game, etc. Even with TV’s, the place is not too rowdy, and it has a good family atmosphere. There are also longer tables that can seat large groups of people. Food — I usually get phở #1(dac biet bo vien) that has everything in it(thin sliced steak, brisket, flank, tendon, tripe and beef balls with rice noodle) Size small is plenty for me, but there is also a large for those who want a bit more. What I find unique about this place is how much meat they give — some places skimp on the tripe, tendon, and steak but this place gives more than a fair share. In addition, I find the broth to be just the right amount of flavor and richness. I’ve also tried some of the rice plates. Both their grilled chicken and grilled pork plates are pretty good, and they usually come with fried shrimp and an egg on the side. I still prefer the soup though, and I’d like to try their bun bo hue next time! It’s apparently something new on their menu(:

This is the best vietnamese food around these parts. I live in Napa and I make the trek down here cuz napa doesn’t have a place like this(wretched tourist trap, dining hole that it is). I really like everything I’ve tried here. It’s vegan friendly. I love the Veggie spring rolls with the peanut dipping sauce. And they’ve got all the condiments like sriracha, hoisin etc. for maximum indulgence. I love drenching the spring rolls in em. I just tried the Barbecued shrimp with rice and a couple of sunny side eggs — #60. Very tasty bbq sauce on the shrimp. It had a nice smokey flavor. It came with a side of pickled veggies and small soup bowl. Great portion of rice. For the price you can’t beat it. The time before I had the veggie phở which you can get with extra Bok Choy and tofu. It’s not on the menu but just ask for it. I really enjoyed this Phở. Nice portion of rice noodles and flavorful soup with bean sprouts, cilantro, lime etc. It’s as good as Monster Phở in Oakland or a bunch of other places in the gourmet slums of the east bay & Frisco. definitely check this place out.

Such a great option for very authentic for noodles, less than five minutes off of the freeway. Worth a stop if you want traditional Vietnamese food on your way up to Sacramento or Tahoe. Very reasonable prices for phở anywhere. Broth as flavorful and well aged, and the meet is of good quality. They also serve delicious, traditional red beans and jelly dessert drinks

I wanted to give Phở #1 four stars, but after my last dining experience I’m a bit hesitant. Food: I’ve ordered so many things from the menu, my favorite are the bun ga nuong(grilled chicken & vermicelli bowl) and the bun bo hue(spicy rice vermicelli beef soup). I’ve had both of these dishes at countless Viet restaurants, so I can be picky with both. The bun ga nuong is okay, the chicken is tasty, but a bit too charred almost close to burnt on the outside. I had to remove a few burnt pieces off my chicken the last time. Likewise, the ratio of protein: veggies:noodles is not the best, I think they could give more protein and less noodles. I usually ask for shrimp as well and the shrimp is grilled to perfection, not too burnt at at all. Maybe if I didn’t ask for shrimp, I’d get more chicken? I’ll try it next time. Onto the bun bo hue, there BBH is pretty savory. They give a decent amount of pig blood, but not enough beef shank. I pulled out a ton of fat from my bowl that I was not going to eat. That was the most disappointing part of the dish. The broth is really tasty, not too salty at all. I’ve had some spicy BBH without adding chili sauce, but this one isn’t spicy at all, in case you want spicy without having to add stuff. The amount of veggie toppings is decent, but they definitely skimp on the mint. I always ask for extra mint and lime and they’re always good about it. I’ve never had a rice dish here, my boyfriend usually gets rice dishes and he always thinks they’re mediocre. I think he’s being a bit too picky. Ambiance: Super contemporary décor, new, sleek and very clean even when it’s busy(which is like everyday during dinner). Service: Very friendly and courteous. They still provide fast service even on their busiest nights, be prepared to wait 5 – 10 minutes on a busy night. Food comes out quick. Price: Cheap/healthy portions of food = steal. Overall: I’m used to eating tons of Viet food from SJ and Sac, so it’s hard to compare and it is difficult to find a good Viet restaurant in the area, but I prefer Phở #1 over anything else in the Vallejo area. I recommend it if you’re looking for some authentic and fast Viet food.

This was my first time at their new location and I have to say I’m impressed! The space and décor is open, new and fresh — a really nice change from their old drabby location. The fresh rolls are done right! I tried one of their new phở items: the bun bo hue which is a spicy beef noodle soup. The noodles are a bit thicker than the noodles you’re used to in traditional phở. They are more of an udon noodle which I liked. Broth was good with a kick of spice, but I just had to add a lil more sriracha and chili paste, cause what’s a big bowl of phở without your nose running/forehead dripping sweat from the heat & spice! Drinks — the Thai tea and blended avocado shake weren’t too sweet or overdone like many places do it. Overall, good place to grab a quick bowl of phở. Not the best but it still does the job! The wait was about 5−10min on a Tuesday night, but the new location seems to be packed moreso in the evenings and on weekends! go straight to the clipboard they have up front and get your name down ASAP!

Good Phở here! The price can’t be beaten. This rating is based on the phở, not the other menu items which are average at best. Personally, I believe they should stick to, and master, Phở and nothing else. The simple broth is the best in town, perhaps the best in Solano County. The ingredients are cheap produce but mix well. If they served higher quality produce they would receive a higher rating.

The food here is just… bad! I really don’t understand why this place is so busy. I had the phở before and it was okay, so maybe just get the phở. Several people and I ordered rice plates and the rice was mushy… If I, a person who doesn’t know how to cook, can make better rice than a restaurant, then we have a serious problem! Two people at our table had to send their food back to get reheated because it was abnormally cold. The beef used in the beef stew was mostly fat according to another person. The shrimp cake tasted odd. We didn’t finish our food. I’d recommend the Vietnamese food at Phở Lee Hoa Phat, which is nearby, over this restaurant. The food is better, it’s less crowded, and the prices are slightly cheaper. I came back here again to try their new dish, bun bo hue(Vietnamese spicy beef noodle soup). It was just okay. I came in during lunch time, and the noodles were still wet or overcooked. So what you’re supposed to do when you cook these noodles is let them fully drain and dry out a little prior to adding them to a soup. Either that, or they just flat out overcooked the noodles because they are not supposed to be that soft. For better bun bo hue, go to LV Phở on the other side of Vallejo, which is the only other place in Vallejo that serves it. I will say that their drinks are good and they get a gold star for décor and service. They have the most welcoming atmosphere for non-Vietnamese customers. That’s not enough to seduce me into buying their food, but I wouldn’t mind getting drinks from them.

And still thee best Phở in the area. First off, I wanna say that the move was def beneficial for them. The interior looks great, very modern and spacious. It got really busy at the old location and by expanding they can at least seat more people. The food here is still A1, I’ve seen some of the feedback that people have been posting about the new location and I really didn’t see any difference from what it used to be. Some folks were getting skimpy portions but I didn’t have that issue, as a matter a fact it seemed like the portions got bigger. Anyways I got a rice plate, chicken wings and pork, still one of my go-to meals and its still good. So I haven’t seen any issues of the transitioning to the new location. The menu seems to be a little bit cheaper than what I remember, but none the less great value for great food. Service is still speedy and the staff is friendly. New location, Same Phở

Not really a big fan of this New Phở they opened up. The rice plates portions have shrunken don’t really give you to much meat. My girlfriend mentioned that her«noodle soup» was over cooked and the noodles were very soggy. I can honestly say this place is hit or a miss, but the inside looks very good, as well as good for big parties.

If this place was in the asian town of Southern California where Phở restaurants are plentiful, my review might be a little different and I might be a harsher critic. But, this place is conveniently located in Vallejo where good Asian restaurants are a rare find, so it gets a star up! I’m thankful for their presence in the community. The broth is good, and I’m a fan of the phở. They aren’t as generous as other places(I attribute that to the lack of competition) but that’s okay with me! I haven’t tried many of their other dishes, but they look pretty solid as well. They’re fairly priced and have a diverse menu. They’re clean, and service is usually pretty quick! It’s worth a visit if you’re a Vallejo resident looking for a good cheap find, but I wouldn’t necessarily go out of my way for this place if you aren’t already in town. A bowl of phở will run you about $ 6 – 7. For those who are unfamiliar with phở, it’s essentially beef broth with rice noodles. Asian comfort food!
