Definitely a fan of Lucky’s. A tad pricey for a sandwich shop, but the food always tastes fresh and the specials are especially good. The service can be a little snarky, but in a way that I find charming most of the time.

Veggie omelet started off like any other, then to my astonishment there were carrots and red cabbage and zucchini. What at first was simply intriguing turned into breakfast bliss. To compliment this extravagant display were some amazing home fries, which did not even require the usual covering of ketchup. Great way to start the day!

What a find! Its below street level but worth the search. I walked in to a friendly staff. I wanted a tea latte. Even though they dont technically do lattes, they steamed milk for me and made it. Then I had yhe special… French Toast with strawberry honey butter. It was delish. And i had egg with rye toast as well. The food was great, the staff was great. Definitely give it a try

This place rocks. We walked in with a group of 16 on Saturday and they took care of us without batting an eye. Everything was tasty and fresh. One of the breakfast specials was Huevos Ranceros and it was the bomb!

Wow. The wife and I just found our new weekend breakfast spot. Ordered pancakes, bacon, sausage, and a delicious blueberry muffin. On top of that I got a coffee and my wife ordered a sand which to go. I couldn’t believe the bill when we got it. Less that 20 $. Great little place in the downstairs of a 200 year old building. Highly recommend going. 5*

Always an excellent meal. I had the Bourbon Chicken and my husband had the Portuguese Stew. Delicious, great service and good music.

I am just leaving this small café now, and it was quite the experience. When you first walk into the building you must walk down a hallway and at the very end of the hallway on the left is a small glass door where you enter the café. The first thing you notice when you enter the café is the smell. It is very unpleasant and smells like my grandmothers house, which doesn’t bring back many good memories. Me and my boyfriend go up to the counter and grab two menus and go to sit down. I ordered a cappuccino for my drink which I did not enjoy and do not recommend to anyone who enjoys good cappuccinos. My boyfriend got and iced tea from their cooler. We go back up to order our food, I got the turkey burger, and he got the steak bomb special. His steak bomb special was out of this world delicious, which is the main reason why I am not giving this place 2 stars, my turkey burger on the other hand was awful. It had absolutely no flavor. I really wanted to like this place more than I did because I love cafes, but I just couldn’t get myself too. I don’t think I will be going back.

I have worked in Worcester for years, I never made it to this side of the city during the lunch hour. I was at a seminar at a nearby hotel and only had a short hour break for lunch, and Lucky’s was a very short walk. I figured I would try it, I’ve heard great things. I walked down these old Worcester City stairs into the basement of an old Worcester building. Tucked back in the corner of the basement was Lucky’s Café. Its quiant an adorable and perfect for a lunch time retreat. I order a ½ sandwhich and soup. I ahd egg salad on a pita pocket and a coup of the tomato ginger soup… YUM! I picked a quiet table in the corner and the nice worker delivered my meal. It smelled and looked so fresh and homemade. The soup was delicious, fresh veggies and full of powerful flavors, well seasoned and not salty. The egg salad was also homemade and perfectly seasoned. I sat and read my book, and enjoyed every bit. When my hour was up I stood to leave and was thanked for stopping in. The workers were very attentive to cleaning up, washing down tables and collecting plates and trash. I have my seminar tomorrow too, and I will be heading back to Lucky’s for a repeat lunch visit, so many fresh options, I’m excited to see tomorrow’s specials and see what I will be having for lunch then. I highly reccommend stopping in to eat there or take it out.

We stopped at Lucky’s on our way through the area. The atmosphere of the restaurant is very interesting. It’s in the lower section of what was a large industrial building. I really enjoyed my special«Super Green» omelet. My wife thought her omelet, spinach, Swiss and tomatoes, was only ok. Another table got pancakes which looked excellent. The fresh brewed coffee was very tasty, which I drank over ice. For my refill the waitress suggested their brewed ice coffee since it was already chilled. Unfortunately, it was rather bitter compared to my initial cup. Overall, I liked the place. The service was friendly and the food a bit above average. I didn’t appreciate being billed for the refill on my coffee and wish they offered a side of a single pancake.

Wonderful! I’m passing through Worcester on tour for a performance I had at WPI last night and I decided to eat breakfast at Lucky’s Café this morning. It was one of the best places I have been to. That says a lot because I travel all over and eat out for most meals. I believe the servers name was Andy. I am terrible with names. He was super friendly and on the ball. He was running the whole front of house. He recommended one of the Sunday Special Omelets and it was splendid. We talked a bit and I found out that the place is owned and operated by his family and has been for years. Wow! I feel lucky to have happened into Lucky’s Café. –Nate

YAY My time in worcester is coming to an end. one of my last meals was at this quirky little hole in the wall. i quipped to my friend, this place reminds me of a speakeasy, that is, if ive ever been in one. the menu isnt too extensive, but with 20+ choices you can make out pretty likely. i had the hot pastrami, i would call this your typical sandwich. im not even sure what brand they use, it wasnt a nyc pastrami, but still not bad. my dining partner got a chop salad, she was happy. this place lacks a certain something i want in a sit down lunch option, but they make up for it in charm? well, maybe for you its charming, to me its ‘hey, where is the extras i want with my sit down lunch?“ oh well, im not going back here as i will never be back in the area, you should try them out at least once.
