Popped in for a drink here some weeks ago. It was really nice to come across as traditional pub in this part of town. They served nice cold drinks which also an additional bonus! Definitely one ill pop into again.

One of the best pubs in central London. When I go out I meet up with lots of people and we need big place to gather. The pub is always our best choice. The staff is so welcoming and they pay special attention to all their customers.

Handy for wifi but that’s it. There appears to be a «manager» who tries to look like a tousled rugby player and cannot even tuck his shirt in. Big screen for football but it is more concerned with serving food than drinks(it’s a pub!!!). At weekends the staff are busier serving tourists eating. Oh, and the bar staff are banned from smiling or laughing at jokes. If you don’t like your jobs… QUIT!

Being from the country, I expected all London pubs to be over expensive and the beer to be indifferent. The Freemasons changed my view though, had a couple of cracking pints, at a price that was fair. If I am in the area again, i will drink here again.

One of my favourites in the area. Big, spacious with plenty of seating — it’s the ideal pre/post-theatre drinking spot. Good for sports too. They serve Oranjeboom on tap, which is always a pleasure. Don’t be surprised if you see some odd/smug looking chaps all dressed in suits with black ties appear and congreagate near the door. They’re the actual Freemasons from the Lodge across the road. Just don’t pester them with silly questions, they get tired of it quickly and I’m fairly sure my drunk friend is now on some sort of black-list and will never get a mortgage.

I don’t really hangout at pubs because they can be a little too dingy. But this pub is actually quite nice, even though old it’s fitted with 5 – 6 flat screens and my personal favorite… Clean! The tables in the corners are elevated which are nice when you’re scouting for the friend you’re meeting. And I love that it’s close enough to Covent Garden for shopping but far enough away to keep the tourists out! Yay!

As traditional pubs go, this one is spacious, friendly and has a lot going for it.

Bigger than The Sun and not as scary as O’Neils, this is one of the best bars to go to on Long Acre. Plus, it’s just far away enough from Covent Garden that most of the tourists don’t know about it — which is good. Although it can get very busy on Friday evenings, they have a great selection of beer, including Oranjeboom on draft. The staff are friendly, the drinks are moderately priced, and you can usually find a place to sit down. If you’re into sports, they have multiple flatscreen TVs mounted on the walls throughout the pub. Or, if you’re less in to sports, they have some great photos of the Queen, too. All in all, this place isn’t glamorous, but it ain’t too shabby either.

One of my local hangouts when I lived in Covent Garden. Lots of characters frequent this pub. Great place to people watch or make new, interesting friends. Many people do not know this but in 1863 The Football Association(The FA) was founded at this pub! There are lots of cool photos of football history adorned throughout the bar as well as a big screen with Sky Sports on most of the time.

I had not been to this bar for years but gave it a try last week. It was reasonably good with attentive service and nice décor but I was shocked at being charged more than £7 for two pints of Early Bird. The bar maid explained this as being due to the budget increases! Covent Garden is expensive, but this seemed excessive.
