Much better than Itsu takeaway shops. Good service and food. Quick if you need it to be although you can relax for longer if you wish

This rating is really a 2.5. I enjoy itsu as a go-to for lunch by the office and wanted to try the restaurant near Sloane Square. My friend and I sat at the bar for the conveyor belt style dining. The individual plates were pretty solid — I’d say a cut above what you’d find in other itsu locations. The service was not the best… they messed up on our drink orders a few times and we experienced pretty significant delays, which was surprising given that the food was mostly taken care of on the conveyor belt. What really docks this down for me is the value. I paid a decent amount for what I thought was not that much and not that great a quality. I could have gotten two itsu boxes for 1⁄3 of what I paid or gone to a better sushi restaurant and paid the same amount. I’d say this is fine, but given how expensive it is for what you are getting, take your business elsewhere or else just stick to the casual grab-and-go options.

Do not, I repeat, do not, eat in Itsu in Chelsea. You will get sick…70/30 chance. My good friend had the fortune of living on Walton street, but Itsu always smelled like rotting fish. I have been to other chains — they are fine, decent enough Sushi. But this one suffers from«Chelsea –itis» — it over promises and under delivers.

Itsu you know the concept. This one has a cool dining area upstairs. Cozy and great for meeting people or having a good time while eating your favorites sushi and sashimi! While I usually avoid restaurant chains in general, the dining area of this one makes it worth going to!

There are two stories I can tell about Itsu in Chelsea. If you choose to go to Itsu, I definitely think this is the place. It is expensive — and you will be addicted ever after! If you do not have a reservation, they usher you upstairs to their bar. They have fantastic cocktails and I think alone because of that it is worth going there. They give you a magnet, which lights up, when you table is available. I would not go to Itsu in a big group, as I definitely would recommend you sitting at the sushi bar. All sorts of plates pass you by and you will know by the colour of the plate which price you pay. But do not think this is all, you also can order from a warm cuisine. We normally order teriyaki, some white rice and tempura vegetables. For dessert I can’t resist temptation of ordering a crème brulée, really not a Japanese dish but just delicious. Now we were one of the last orders and therefore no more that welcome. Can you believe they put all the left over sushi straight from the sushi bar directly into the rubbish!!! This is why I give this restaurant only an ok rating. As a guest, this is disgraceful to watch. Especially when you pay a considerable amount for those plates. Therefore I decided to get take away from this restaurant only, which are nicely displayed in the cold outside the restaurant.

I love sushi and am therefore a hardcore fan of Itsu generally. When I was invited to go there for lunch I didn’t realise that there were any Itsu restaurants and so was very pleasantly surprised. The Kensington location is lovely and on a Sunday is a great time to go as everyone is relaxed and the atmosphere busy but not too hectic. The set up is very reminiscent of Yo Sushi — there is a revolving table from which you choose your dishes. The only problem with this is that the person nearest the food always has to grab the dishes on behalf of the other people which can disrupt the conversation. There is also a menu from which you can choose soups, rice and various other speciality dishes. The staff are great and very quick to bring your drinks. We indulged in a bottle of champagne and the food is rather expensive but no more than your average sushi restaurant of this type. Sunday, sushi and champagne what could be better!

I have been to this shop for dinner sereral time and I would like to recommend the grill in the shop. The grilled prawn and fish plus chicken were very good and tasty. The sushi was OK but nothing quite special. The drink choices were also good and something you couldn’t find it elsewhere. The price in the shop was a little high but worth a try, The soup here was not very good and one type was really salty for me.

If you like sushi on the go– this is the perfect place– with sushi packages named such as Salmon Rushdi this is a not just good food but the names of the pre-packed sushi packages are fun too.

Founded by British Legend Julian Metcalfe(Pret à Manger), itsu never let me down in terms of quality or style. This location is usually crowded in the evenings and has a more sit down like feel than others.
