For my first review I thought I’d do something small, but powerful. Unlike myself. A quick intro — Working in Soho is legit. Loads of cool people, loads of great pubs and the odd sprinkling of celebrities(that I have no idea who they are) aimlessly wandering the streets. There is also a multitude of great places to eat, which brings us neatly into the crux of the matter. To be honest, I generally make my lunch at work, but on those rare occasions that I go crazy and part with my hard earned wonga, I like to make sure that what I stuff down my oesophagus is delicious and makes me a little excited in the pant area. Therefore, if you like feeling warm and fuzzy in your private time zone, whilst at the same time consuming a good value meal, then look no further than SHISO on Broadwick street in Soho, serving delicious Thai food. The partially sighted amongst may blink and miss this cheeky nugget tucked away on Broadwick St. It’s just next to Osmans the Stationer and Agent Provocateur, thankfully I have the vision of an arrogant Eagle, so it was easy to find. They have a great choice of food there. Meat and no-meat options, noodles or rice. The staff are friendly and they portions are perhaps a little too big(the one I had the other day defeated me) and if you’re really lucky they’ll give you a blowie… Well maybe not the last part, but it’s a no brainer. For 4 golden queen nuggets you can obtain a nice large box. I would recommend the Massaman Curry and rice(retailing for £4.20! — Too Easy) The only real reason I can think of for not giving them the full 5 stars is that they didn’t have the dish that was recommended to me — The Duck. However, much like my sex life… I didn’t get any. This is the type of food resource I like, small, no big queues and a stack load of food for your dollar. There you go. Review done.

Hole in the wall Chinese really hits the spot. If you’re looking for high class Asian food, Shisou is not the place for you, but if you’re craving something cheap and comforting, it’ll do. A busy takeaway, Shiso offers a hot counter of ready prepared, basic Chinese and Thai dishes with a base of either rice or noodles. You can order other Japanese noodle dishes and sushi from the menu. The food isn’t exactly earth shattering but with an average price of between £3.50 and £5 you could do worse.

Nice Sushi and South East Asian ‘Curry’ take away. Classics like Red Curry and Green Curry sit alongside Chicken with basil and chilli. Stir fried rice is rich in vegetables too. Pleasant service and a comfortable bill add up to a lunchtime treat. A nice place tucked away on the Wardour St end of Broadwick Street, next to Agent Provocateur.
