This pub Is a gem if only it was owned by a gentleman not a south London thug. first time I have been there I got told its for locals only. So when I left why was the landlord fighting with the neighbours about the noise and the lights from the pub. LOCALSONLY. I live half a mile away I will stick to the northbrook

Just about exactly what you want an old fashioned pub to look like. Full of charm. Cheap trophies from the 80s adorn the shelves. simply lovely. But there was little to no atmosphere when I arrived here, despite the pub being relatively full. And the beer was limited in choice and in quality. A bit of a let down after my initial enthusiasm.

Great pub to go to on a warm day due to it’s beer garden at the back. Inside a traditional, slightly down at heel typical London pub, full of character.

Nice old fashioned boozer with friendly, helpful staff and good beer.

Nestled in a residential area between Lewisham and Blackheath lies The Dacre Arms, a lovely traditional pub with a warm and friendly atmosphere. Loads of decent ales on tap, and a cute little beer garden out the back. By far the nicest pub I’ve visited within a 2 mile radius of my flat. More pubs like this in Hither Green, please!

This is by far the best pub in the area. If you are interested in watching a football game, however, this isn’t for you. It is here for good beer and good chats with friends. You will also get to meet the pub dog(whose name I don’t know) but he is a little rockstar. They do not serve food but have a nice selection of crisps. Lawrence the bartender is supercool and can usually be found there on the weekend. This place is a true gem. Cash only ;)!

In between Blackheath and Lewisham. In my mind the best traditional pub in the area bar the Blythe in Catford. Good beer, good service, a local but friendly and small beer garden. Long may it prosper.

What a gem. It’s almost criminal me reviewing it on here as it’s such a discovery that I want to keep it to myself. Classic pub interior, friendly local boozer atmosphere, guest ales and home-made food all push the right buttons although I’ve not yet eaten here hence the fifth star held in reserve. Would love to get back down south for a visit over the summer to make use of the beer garden.
