Really nice pub in the heart of the city. The food is great and the beer selection is extensive. I was here to watch a football game in a Sunday evening and it wasn’t too busy but they don’t have a lot of tables. If you would like to come over and sit down during a game, I would suggest to arrive early to guarantee seating. The shepherd’s pie was the best one I have ever had!

Passed by this pub on my search for the Polo restaurant. It was pretty busy, with a mix of business people off work of Friday evening, and locals that had already dressed down to enjoy their weekend. Nice mix of nice looking patrons. They have televisions everywhere, and the music selection was good. Service at the bar was quick, even though it was a bit crowded. Boxing on the tele when I was there, and that was a welcome change of pace.

First time here, so its a little tough to give a nice review. Seems like a lot of people come here after work. The drinks are reasonably priced, and the food was not bad. I have the daily roast(beef), it was ok. My friend had the Big Ben Burger which looked awesome. I am sure we will be back around for a second try, or to one of the many pubs around the area. Great for after work drinks.

A frequent with the bf’s work crowd for afterwork drinks on a Friday. They have a great big terrace in the back near St. Botolph’s Church and its quite nice to sit/stand out there. During Wimbledon they brought one of the big screens outside to enjoy the tennis on the terrace. That was fun! Nothing special and the seating is limited, but a decent pub and the drinks are tasty. :)

Cheap but resonable drinks near liverpool street, without being packed to the rim and your feet don’t stick to the floor They also had quite a big menu, I had the vegi fish and chips(which is the only second place i’ve seen this served)…honestly it was a bit of a letdown because I’m not a huge fan of semi-soggy bater — but it wasn’t bad enough that I didn’t want to eat it and if I went back there again I would just try something different(although my expecations are not that high for the food) What I did notice was the lack of women… not sure why this was, just an intersting obervation. There also isn’t many city boys, soooo wondering(maybe wrong here), lack of city boys means lack of women, it certainly wasn’t your standard city wine place If meeting friends and want a drink close to the train, its worth a visit again… at least you can have a descent conversation without to much of a worry how much the round is going to cost

My company had a private party in their pool room last night, and I was quite impressed with the place. First off, they have two pool tables, which is two more than any other pub around that area. Although the price per game was on par(£1.50) with other places in central London, the table quality was good although the cues left much to be desired. The bar staff were also very friendly, and prompt in serving drinks. There were plenty of sofas around the room, and a few big screen TVs showing live sports. The food was rather decent. We had ordered beer battered fish with chunky chips, which was very good to be honest. The popcorn chicken was decent too, but the spring rolls tasted funny and the papadoums tasted nothing like they should. Anyways, its a great place to have a party for groups between 15 – 30, and very conveniently located too!
