Me and my wife were heading to Watford from London and had to stop for food, it didn’t seem like there were many options so we decided to stop by here and I am so glad we did. I’m not super into pie’s like this but these ones were so good. I thought they would be dry and hard but they were not they were soft and moist. If I ever go through this train station again I will be stopping by the Pasty Shop!

Great pasties!!! This is second place I have tried pasties, and they are definitely the best so far. I chose the traditional pasty, and it was good. The crust was a little bit thick, but very good. I would however have liked a little bit more filling.

Pronounced«Pass-tee» not pastie, which are the boobie tassles. Originally from the Cornwall region these hand held pot pies(3 – 5 quid) are very hearty and more of a filling meal than a quick snack. More than just a glorified hot pocket, the filling in my chicken and veggie pot pie was HOT, savory, rich, and hearty; sorta like a Sunday stew. I’m not sure if the pastry crust was made with suet, but it was hearty, brittle, thick, and sturdy; the opposite of a light and flaky French pastry. Definitely tasted authentic to UK food, I could imagine one of these helping one to go to sleep for a tube ride out to zone 3.

As the saying goes, «Fat carries the flavor.» That’s certainly the case with everything from the Pasty Shop. Delicious and filled with a variety of hot things ranging from meats to cheeses to vegetables, there are pasties available to support any sort of eating regimen. Even sweet ones. That is, unless you’re trying to lose weight, in which case, you might want to move along. Located next to platform 11 in Liverpool Street Station. Warning: the fillings are HOT!

Before my trip to London, I’ve never had a pasty before. It’s pretty much like a meal in a hand held pie crust. My favorites are the traditional steak and chicken & vegetables(which is very reminiscent of chicken pot pie). It’s great for a quick meal while you’re on the go.

Pasties are one of my semi-guilty pleasure foods. I often get one on the go, rather than a sandwhich. The Pasty Place does a great vegetarian pasty, that is very filling, hot and crispy. I like meat pasties but I am careful after bad experiences elsewhere(particularly Chinese) about eating inexpensive meat. This place does much better Pasties than their rival West Cornwall, also in Liverpool Street Station. I have also tried to sausage rolls(so much for my meat principle) and they were really good. I really like this place.
