Great example of a traditional English greasy spoon. Staff friendly. Massive portions at very low cost. Open 7 days a week. Huge breakfast with tea and toast only £6.20.

The best greasy spoon café on Roman Road. Great value, exceptionally clean, nice staff, big portions.

One of my favourite cafes along Roman Road is the Unique Café. They serve traditional greasy spoon grub and make fabulous breakfasts.
I tend to order the Special breakfast which is quite meaty and filling. All the breakfasts I’ve seen look well proportioned and prepared.
The atmosphere is really laid back and there is a real sense of community. Like all good cafes they stock a selection of daily papers.
Although a greasy spoon, the food isn’t greasy at all, it is tasty and good. Best of all the prices are very low.
