Love this place! The view overlooking Fistral beach(in the distance) from the restaurant is stunning. I recommend you eat just before sunset. They have the gorgeous Cornish Orchard cider on tap. Dog-friendly too. Great steak.

Possibly my favourite restaurant. I’ve been time after time and never get board of the food or the view. Views from the restaurant are beautiful and when the weather is nice you can chill out with drinks on the large terrace or have a great meal. The lodge is great just a chill out and have drinks if you don’t want to eat but I’d recommend you do try the food. The food is brilliant from both the lunch and dinner menu. Newly open is the guest rooms so if you want to stay in the hotel you will get to enjoy the views even longer over looking the ocean. The food and drink is great value but the rooms are a little pricy but it is in a exclusive location. If you are in the area it is a must.

Last weekend marked my first visit to Cornwall where I was taken to Lewinnick Lodge for dinner. The view was STUNNING. As a transplant from the US, I didn’t realise that the UK had such breathtaking cliff views! After an albeit chilly round of G&T on the deck, my friends and I headed indoors to our table. I ordered the rump chunks(I love how the English grant their food such literal names — clotted cream… need I say more?) which were served in a red wine sauce over chips and with a sizable side salad. «Medium rare» in the UK typically means«medium» according to my American palate, but my chunks were perfectly medium rare — I was very pleasantly surprised! My friends ordered the fish cakes and hake fillet special which were both tasty. Although I opted for the affogato(can’t really go wrong there), I was fortunate enough to have a bite of my friends’ sticky toffee pudding — my FAVE British dessert. The toffee sauce was incredible — buttery and sweet to just the right proportions. Oh, and did I forget to say that the service was incredibly good(and that’s by US standards!)??? I definitely recommend a visit if you happen to swing by Newquay.

First things first — if you don’t know Newquay GET A CAB! You’ll never find it otherwise, and that would be a great shame. For you! The biggest selling point about the Lewinnick is, undoubtedly, the view. It is no exaggeration to declare — it is absolutely stunning. You can sit on the deck, weather permitting, and gaze right across Fistral beach all the way to Newquay headland. Well worth the price of your pricey pint alone. And here’s the rub — they do charge more here, presumably because those views are just so fab. The other drawback is the food — I don’t know quite what happened. When it re-opened after an extensive refurbishment a few years ago it was top notch — easily a 5 star joint. Now, though, it seems as though someone has taken their eye off the ball. It’s still good, it’s just not as ‘wow’ as it was, and the waiting time can be very frustrating. That said, I know they’ve had quite a bit of flack for this, and are working to make improvements. In the meantime, get yourself up there, grab yourself a beverage and sit back and soak in that vista — you will not regret it.

We have always really enjoyed our visits to the Lewinnnick Lodge, always leaving feeling satisfied by the food, sea views and scenery. Although on one occasion I did have some clothing stolen from the coat stand I have never held this against the establishment. We have had the pleasure of enjoying various dishes from the menu over the years and never been disappointed. The service at the establishment is also second to none and the staff are always very attentive to your needs/requirements. A must visit, although the road down to the place is a little tricky.

A fantastic restaurant and bar with a wonderful garden and to-die-for views of the atlantic ocean and fistral beach. Many of the tables are window based to take advantage of the vistas. The menu is largely fish based and a little pricey(£7 average starter, £13 average main, £5 average dessert), but the food is excellently prepared. A vegetarian option is always available. The staff are very attentive and provide very good customer service, and the atmosphere is very relaxing. This is a great option for an intimate meal for 2 or a family celebration for 20. Undoubtedly the best restaurant in town. The bar area has lovely barmen, great seating and a large log fire to slouch in front of after a walk on the headland(which is just outside the door). Dogs are welcome and food can be ordered from the restaurant menu to eat in the bar area. A well-run and well-presented restaurant.
