Good but not exceptional food here… But an astonishingly beautiful spot and excellent, if a bit quick, service and totally reasonable prices. The cassoulet was fine if not terribly complex or original…

Went two nights in three days– the cassoulet was that good. Great prices on both wine and food and very friendly staff. Don’t hesitate.

Adelaide is on a downward slide. A blessed location, in the old city. Friendly staff, enough English for most tourists. However: Dinner took One Hour to make it to the table. Mine was a pork filet, with fries and cold roasted red peppers. Most uninteresting meal I’ve had in France over the past two weeks. My wife enjoyed their signature cassoulet, and so did I. Price was quite reasonable. But an hour, at 9:00 on a Thursday in mid-September? Not when there are good alternatives down the lane or even across the square. So enjoy the cassoulet, or keep moving.

Ordered 16 euro with Camembert au four, caddoulry Maison, crème brûlée with carpaccio de boeuf avec frits 13 euros Good service. Waited 5/to 10/min for an outdoor seat during lunch time. We had to rush so they made sure we were on time. Limited English. food was amazing but crème brûlée was just okay… didn’t have the nice crack upon tapping. Would recommend coming here still if you are in the area!

We just came back from Carcassonne. It was freezing cold and super windy. This place saved our lives :) We ate at this place twice, both for lunch during 2 days of Carcassonne trip. It’s less touristy than other restaurants inside the cité and the food was very good and extremely reasonable menu they have. Don’t choose a la cart but choose the Menu — 3 courses for 16 or 24 Euros. The servers were very friendly. They remembered us from the day before and extremely nice to us.

Beautiful setting and delicious meal. Wue arrived about 7 and were able to get a table. The restaurant quickly filled up though. Read other reviews and ordered the gizzard salad and cassoulet. Had the tarte du jour for dessert which was apple. The first two were yummy! The dessert was okay. Would probably order a different one if we came again. We would if we come to Carcassonne again!

Good salad«adelaide» with lots of duck of all types. Roasted duck breast is a bit dry but ok. And a good view on the castle is also nice.

We planned a night in Carcassone solely for the purpose of eating cassoulet, so it was essential that we choose the right place to do so. Adelaide was the winner due to its prime location overlooking the moat of the citadel. Is Adelaide a tourist trap? Absolutely. It is a restaurant specializing in the dish that all the tourists want to eat in the center of the city’s high-traffic destination. That said, they do it extremely well. We had a relaxed meal out on the terrace with helpful and friendly service. The very popular set-menu dinner made ordering easy, and every part of it was delicious. Of course, all three of us ordered the same main dish(even Kid had her own little cassoulet), so we can’t speak to a variety of options, but wow, the cassoulet was delicious! The entire meal was also very reasonably priced, which made the food taste even better! We were incredibly pleased with our meal here, and one of my favorite memories from our trip is watching our daughter run around and play princess in the moat while we lingered over dessert and coffee.
