This place was awesome, especially for those in need of a vegetarian option. The service was exceptional; in particular, Jake was fantastic. He was very friendly, gave great food recommendations, and told us of great things to do/see in Dublin. Overall an excellent evening!

Visited the restaurant because of the good reviews on Unilocal,to try a new restaurant. The menu promised a lot of delicious treats, but the reality turned out to be overpriced and quite bland. To add to the culinary disappointment we were completely ignored by the staff, who didn’t even ask us if we wanted deserts or coffee. Instead we went around the corner to Enoteca Delle Langhe for some proper Italian stuff. With so many great restaurants around this one is a waste of time. Definitely not coming back.

I walk pass Bach 16 about twice a day, yet somehow I had never made it inside, until last night. We were lucky they had a free table on possibly one of the busiest evenings of the year. The place was packed and hence service a little bit hectic/slow, but ever so friendly! Tables were extremely close, and the couple sitting beside us, may as well been at our table with about 2 cm between us. Cozy! We shared an antipasti veggie plate which was very tasty with a good selection, lots of spinach, artichoke, olives, avocado, sundried tomatoes, brie and plenty of fresh bread.(12 €) My pizza with spinach, mushrooms and walnuts was one of the better ones I had this year, it was super thin and plenty of cheese too. YUM! I thought 14 € was a fair price. Wine selection was quite small, they only had a few speciality wines written out on a board. My italian Sauvignon blanc was very good. I shall return!

In Dublin trying to find somewhere to have a sandwich & a glass of wine while my wife shops. It was looking bad until I found Bach 16! It was 4:30pm but the guy made a quality chicken, Italian bacon & cheese panini and served a quality glass of Chilean Cab Sav to go with it. Both really enjoyable so my afternoon was made. The salad & dressing served with the panini were worth the visit alone. Looking forward to my next visit. NB sat outside people watching while I write this!

Came here looking for some good pizza in Dublin, did not disappoint. Very thin crust, but wasn’t burnt on the bottom like some places. Some interesting topping choices if you’re looking to mix it up — we had goat cheese with roasted peppers and chorizo. Note: small place that only seats about 20 people.

Was here for a girl’s night out and it was lovely. A very cosy feel and the service was great. Really friendly, helpful, and chatty! The food was great too. Most of us had a pizza and everyone thought they were gorgeous — the pizzas that is. They’re now doing afternoon tea as well and that’s definitely next on the agenda. Just a lovely place, very simple and unassuming and that’s what makes it work!

Despite the friendly service, I don’t understand the high ratings. We stopped in on a Friday night because of its convenient location and were warmly greeted and immediately liked the cozy interior. The food, however, really let us down. Everything was overpriced and nothing was made fresh. The meagre kitchen set-up consists of a microwave and a toaster oven, which everything is reheated in. We ordered the stuffed pepper and prawn & chorizo starters. The portions were very small; we especially felt ripped off when we saw the size of the prawn & chorizo dish. For € 8, we got 4 tiny shrimp and a few small pieces of sausage. We also shared the mushroom and spinach pizza, which was as hard as a board. I’m all for thin crust, but this was so dry, it was basically a giant cracker… And the worst part was the mushrooms were canned! For € 15, it just really didn’t cut it. The staff couldn’t be faulted, though. They were attentive and even gave us complimentary desserts for moving to accommodate another walk-in party. Unfortunately, I was just so disappointed with the food that I wouldn’t return.

First Unilocal ever written after multiple years of use. Bach 16 finally propelled me to break out of my agnostic Unilocal review shell. While visiting Dublin with the girlfriend, we wanted a delicious, but slightly healthier option. Bach 16 hit the spot. Great service, great atmosphere. No rush and we enjoyed quality time people watching. Highly recommend bruschetta, creamy mushrooms, mozzarella salad, and mushroom pizza. Worth every bit.

What makes Bach 16 such a special place? It’s one of many eateries in this part of town, a tiny one at that, and it doesn’t pretend to blow you away with slick interiors or incredible fad new ingredients. Maybe that’s exactly why Bach 16 is such a lovely place, it keeps things simple, small, delicious and easy. I think it’s one of the best places in Dublin to have a pizza, the pizza bases alone are to die for, perfectly thin and just crispy enough. If you’re not in the mood for pizza, you can go for a salad — one of those good, rich ones, that won’t leave you starving or hoping for a hint of flavour — or even some tapas. All the flavours are mediterranean inspired. Be it late(last time we went in for some dinner after 9pm) or for some brunch/lunch, they never disappoint and you can always find something that suits your preferences at the time. Heck, they even have some nice desserts or some Port to send you on your merry way. well, merrier. It’s a lovely place on a sunny weekend morning, the room gets warm and bright with the sunlight, and you can enjoy the peace and cosiness inside while outside the quays are bustling with people and cars. I might take half a star for the wine selection, but honestly, all things considered, it doesn’t bother me all that much and you still can enjoy a nice glass if you know your own preferences. Drink and food prices are all very fair, and the guys are so nice that it’s one of those places you just feel like giving a nice tip to thank them properly for the whole meal.

It was a Sunday afternoon when we visited and I had called ahead to book a table as it is such a small pace. I mentioned about getting a gluten free base and so long as you give some notice they are very accommodating with this. I had a glass of Argintinian Malbec at € 6.25… this is my fave red wine and is usually from € 8 — € 11 for a glass. So I straight away ordered that interested to see if it was decent — and it was. Obviously the other side of the river prices differ vastly! We both decided to go for pizza & chose the Goat’s Cheese, Roasted Pepper & Chorizo(€ 13) & the Pepperoni(€ 10.25) This pizza was amazing, thin and crispy with a generous portion of the tasty toppings. I can’t say any more than it was absolutely delicious. After letting the pizzas digest we got tempted by the dessert board offering Tiramasu or a Chocolate Mousse for € 5.50…so we ordered a cappuccino and the Tiramasu which arrive in a little jar with some biscotti on the side. All was fab! Wouldn’t hesitate to return to this little gem but recommend booking as it’s so small and cosy.

WOW what an adorable little restaurant/wine bar! I found this little gem whilst hiding from the crowds on St. Patrick’s day. I had PIZZA here which was probably one of the best thin-crust gourmet pizzas I’ve had in a VERY long time. Plus friendly low-key service and excellent wines, made for a delightful respite from the Dublin hubub. Keep up the good work, Bach 16!

Bach 16 is a real gem. Its a pretty new place, and the standards are high. Located on Bachelors Walk, near the bus stop, its the sort of place you could easily pass by if you were in a rush-but I tell you, if you take the time to relax and slow down you cant miss the warm glow of twinkling fairy lights in the foggy windows. This is the sort of place you come to chill, whether its on your own or with mates it doesn’t really matter, its one of those intimate places that works in 90% of scenarios, be it a place to start a night off with a few drinks or end a days shopping with a coffee and some of their tasty bits and pieces(they do a fine hunk of a sandwich that beats some of those über alt cool hipster joints any time, and I LOVE their hummus dish, its kinda garlicky and very well priced). Its only open a while, but I’d say in summer it would be a total suntrap out the front where they have pretty little tables were you can watch the world breeze by. This place is on my route into work, I’ve started to stop in their in the mornings to get my coffee fix and I can safely say they do a mean cappuccino, and the staff in there are all so lovely that they always give me an extra shot :) Guys, I know this seems like a golden review– but I don’t do bull-drop in and try it, then tell me I’m wrong!

I went here with some friends beautiful cheese and meat platters more than plenty for two. The sandwich selection and pizzas looked delicious too. Wine superb and desserts to die for. Service friendly and effcient. Only gripe is it is very small you have to have a reservation as not a lot of tables and only one toilet. I know it’s a wine bar but would probably not be able to bring hubby here as no beer but would definately come for lunch again to try out the pizza and sambos.
