You really have to give this place a try! For brunch, lunch or dinner this is somewhere really special. Their breakfast salad is the perfect balance between healthy and indulgent, their fondue is a sacrament to cheese and their café liegeois(a so-good-it-should-be-illegal combination of coffee, chocolate and ice cream) is hands down my favorite dessert anywhere. Add friendly, efficient service and great seasonal and weekly specials(try the Swiss bircher muesli on a Sunday) and you are on to a winner. Go there! Now!

Been wanting to go here since I first tried fondue in Geneva. I finally found some people who were as keen as me to try so off we went. Although I had my heart set on fondue, the menu offered up a number of tempting options including the nicest looking piece of ribeye steak I have seen for a long time. One of my dining partners who is allergic to cheese, said it was one of the best tasting ones she had had for a long time. But before we come to main event we were brave and opted for the starter of black pudding(well it is the superfood of 2016). Large succulent slices topped with caramelised onion was fantastic. So glad we made room for them. Anyway back to fondue. We opted for the Fondue corse and had sides of bread, swiss mountain beef and a selection of vegetables. We were explained the correct way to properly eat fondue and given complementary wine and kirsch dips to put the bread in before the cheese to enhance the experience. Both added an amazing taste experience but beware the kirsch! :) Our waiter was extremely knowledgable about the wines and recommended some fantastic ones to match both the fondue and the steak. The pinot blanco was a sure hit against the cheese. Stuffed and sleepy from all the cheese there was no way we could face dessert… but wait, we did it anyway! The reason I give it a 4 is because I felt the desserts were lacking behind the two great courses before hand. The walnut pie was small and a little dense for my liking, the sorbet tangy and tasty especially with the addition of liqueur, but the swiss hot choc was definitely to my tasting. Cheese and chocolate is where the Swiss don’t go wrong…

I am SO delighted that I was too exhausted to walk any further through Ranelagh village in search of some food last night because it meant I just marched straight into this place, hoping for the best, and oh holly balls was it the best!!! I got the vegetable gratin, which was so moorish and satisfying, and then followed it with the«Swiss Dream» dessert which used Murphys icecream, so safe to say it was the dream. My friends all equally gushed over their meals. The guy serving us was so nice too and let us taste a few of the different wines because we automatically opted for the cheapest one and he felt the others were well worth a try! Really sound but also a great business strategy because we all ended up with one of the more expensive wines which really were delicious! Already looking forward to bringing another group of friends back –more people need to try this place!

Fun Fun Fundue! We had a great evening here. Since we were with a big group we ordered a few different fondues(plain, with mushroom and with chives). They come with bread and we got some potatoes and veg on the side as well. Cheese is very filling, so we skipped the starters. We were all stuffed, but the desserts looked too tempting. I had murphy’s icecream with a shot of espresso, chocolate and cream. I loved it! I wouldn’t go for fondue just any night, but for a special occasion or with a big group this is definitely a fantastic option!

Cheese and bread for dinner never tasted so good. I went here last night on a date and it was so romantic and fun that I’m sure we’ll be back. We called at around 6 asking for a reservation and they were fully booked until 9:30. The nice man on the phone told us he would try and fit us in earlier and went to the trouble of texting us when he squeezed us into a table at 8:30. You know from the smell right when you walk into the restaurant: cheese lives here. We were seated at a table by the window which was cute. There was a big group there too who looked to be having a blast: something to consider for my next birthday. They presented us with an amuse Bouche for free from the kitchen of cheese and beef which was a nice touch. For starters I had the cheese salad with honey mustard which was as delicious only as a salad made half with cheese and half with lettuce can be. My partner got black pudding, which I’m sure was delicious as he stopped talking while he ate it(the highest form of flattery). The fondue came and was cheesey, gooey and fun to eat. They brought bread promptly right as we were running out and we enjoyed it with a nice Beaujolais wine which was light but also cut the oiliness of the cheese. With a bottle of wine and a pot of molten cheese it is hard to go wrong. Overall, a great experience, good for date night or a group outing.

My and my friends were brought here my friend from Switzerland for dinner since we never had swiss food before. It’s a small little restaurant in Ranelagh with both indoor and outdoor seating, and the atmosphere is quite chic and formal. The menu is mainly fondue and cheese based, so for people who like cheese then it would be a great place to try since everything on the menu has cheese. However, for people who don’t like or can’t eat cheese(like me), I could only order the grilled omelette and request no cheese as the main attraction seems to be the cheese fondue. Otherwise, the service was good and the staff were friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable enough for dinner, I paid 13 euro for the omelette, sides were 3 euro and the fondue was split between 5 people, so each paid 10 euro. It’s a pretty formal evening dinner kind of restaurant with only few tables that filled up pretty quick, so I’d probably recommend making a reservation. The reason I gave only 3 stars is that the menu is all cheese, and I’m allergic to cheese so I had only one choice really. Overall though, not a bad place for something different.

This place probably has the best Fondue you can get in Dublin. They also serve a really good Irish Breakfast despite being a Swiss restaurant. The service is real quick and the ambience feels quite homey. If you’re going as a group of friends, this is a really good choice.

The Irish breakfast is absolutely delicious. The pudding is the best I’ve tasted, bar none. Two eggs, perfectly fried, two sausages which weren’t amazing but at least weren’t cheap salted rubbish, a lovely rasher, lots of toast and a grand cup of tea. A lovely way to start a Sunday.

This cute Swiss café is located in the oh so hip part of Ranelagh. I surmised that they must not have been open for very long… Anyhow the service was really good. Perhaps a tad overbearing but still i prefer that over bad service. I went in for breakfast and ordered their omelette. It was really nice. The eggs weren’t over done and it was perfectly seasoned. My dining companion went for the full irish and they seemed to enjoy it! My only gripe was they only had one bottle of tobasco for the whole of the restaurant that was clogged or something. I couldn’t get any out. And the bathroom was miniscule. I see they have fondue so I must go back for dinner!
