I used to come here all the time and I thought their lunch deal was great. However my experience yesterday has drastically changed my opinion. We walked in and were greeted with an overpowering, disgusting smell. Had we not been in such a rush we would have walked out. I ordered taglioni con gamberi(pasta with prawns) and while it was presented very well I knew immediately when I tasted the prawns that they were not in the least bit fresh. My brother and father’s meals were equally disappointing. On top of that the waiter was extremely disinterested and kept trying to walk away from our table before we had finished ordering coffees. I am usually slow to write poor reviews for places I have had pleasant experiences in the past but after yesterday this is no way I will be returning here. It really can’t compete with Caffe Italiano in Temple Bar.

A traditional italian wine bar and restaurant in the hearth of Dublin. Great choice of wines and the aperitivo time is amazing with a fixed price to get one drink and a few italian bites. The ambient is great, especially inside!

I Was here on a Thursday evening, was a bit late for the apéritif(which is that time when you can order a glass of wine and they serve you some small canapes or small tapas). But we ordered two glasses of wine and a board of charcuterie with cheeses. I was very surprised by the generosity of the board. it had cheeses, sundried tomatoes, honey, different sorts of meats, cheeses, big tasty olives, and warm bread. If i had to recommend a place for a nice glass of wine and enjoy some tasty bites i would say this place. I would love to be back to taste something different in the menu.

Real traditional Italian restaurant. I’m a complete fan of Italian food and I must say that this place is amazing. Really amazing. It’s not fancy at all. You don’t go there for a big romantic night. The ambiance and atmosphere remind me of the small familial restaurant you can find all over Italy. The food is just WOW! They have really authentic product, really authentic foods. There’s nothing I didn’t like. We ordered a meat platter and a cheese platter to share. We were 4 and the portions were really generous. Everything was extremely amazing. You could really taste that the products weren’t industrial. If you’re looking for a place that reminds you of home(if you’re Italian) or your holidays in Italy. Just go there!

I must say, I really enjoy this place. It’s great for a nice dinner or if you have a few friends and just want some antipasti with a few glasses of wine. They have an amazing selection of wines along with some really good antipasti and cheeses as well. The staff are lovely and the location is right in the Italian quarter just two minutes from the Jervis LUAS stop.
