The chicken burger deserves a 4 star rating and their honey mustard mayo sauce in the burger and for the fries deserve 5 stars. But the experience and server was so awful that this place deserves 3 stars. The servers clearly do not care for you and it’s evident in that they will walk by fifteen times before even greeting you. If you are in a rush, do not dine in. But I highly recommend ordering the chicken hamburger to go.

I came here on a vacation and have my day fully scheduled. We saw the restaurant rather empty so we decided to have our meal there, assuming it wouldn’t be too long. Sadly, as we speak, after a whole hour, my food is still not here. This restaurant should refund a partial amount of my trip. We received some of the food, and the food is not up to par at all. This place should only be for tourists who want to spend a week in Siena.

The place is beautiful, I mean Il Campo. The food was also good but nothing special, quite expensive and the waiters were very busy.

10/27/2013 This is a gorgeous square in the middle of Siena… plenty of room for people so stroll through, dine at the restaurants along the edge of the square, and even sit /lie down in the middle of the square. We actually saw people sit or lie down in the square… chatting away, and having a good time! It reminds me of what people do on the ‘grass’ in the USA.lol. One of the largest squares I’ve seen during our 2 week trip to Italy…(the one in Venice is huge too). There’s a clock tower in iL Campo that is worth a visit if you’re so inclined. Please see my review for that tower as a separate entry. We also dined at one of the restaurants that were situated along this square, and it was such a grand view. Can’t help but take it all in… great place to relax and even do some tourist shopping. iL Campo is also the central location that leads up to many paths/roads to various parts of town. VERYCOOL. Be sure to get a panoramic shot of this square when you visit.

Ristorante il Campo is a bit touristy and spendy – but hey, every place on il Campo is. The reason to dine here is for the atmosphere and people watching – which always comes at a premium. My girlfriend and I shared a capricciosa pizza – a classic and one of my favorites. It had a wonderful, light, crispy crust. The salami was delicious and quite picante! We washed it down with a couple of beers and enjoyed the sunny afternoon and people-watching. There are a lot of restaurants on il Campo to choose from, but I recommend this one as a safe bet.
