I remember when they tore down the old Boo pub to build the executive Inn and the Foggy Dew. I used to live directly across Austin and so it was great for just stumbling home afterwards. Great memories. Now that I live out of town, it is a rare occasion to come here. I found the waitresses awesome but the food only average. Good drink specials. I was in for a late afternoon snack so I missed the crazy bar scene but I did really enjoy it.

yam fries are pretty great if they arrive before you’re ready to go home, but I can’t really rate this place properly because I never remember the night after I leave. This is kind of a bad review but I’m at the dew almost every Friday so how bad can it be if I’m still coming back. There’s a Denny’s and a McDonald’s that you can stumble to after it closes so A+ for that.

This was my first bar as a legal adult! Many people call it «The Foggy Dont» but its my go to pub for a mediocre drunken night! This place is filled with locals and the atmosphere can get pretty hectic. The drinks are watered down with ice so my drink of choice is an over priced bottle of bud at 5.50 $. The servers are awesome tho! They remember what you usually order. No charge for cover but the line up can get pretty long if youre going on a Friday or Sat night.

It is hard to write a review about a pub that I visit every second night and most of the food is pretty good. The Iron steak sandwich is a good piece of meat. The beef dip is one of the best we have had, a little tough at times. The hamburger is the worst I have ever had but I am only 62. My brother liked it and so did the dog, but for me the seasoning reminded me of medicinal cream, and you could smell it 4 feet away.

This place isn’t too bad. The food is usually okay, but occasionally it will be a miss. Drink selection is decent. This place is definitely better for partying, but pricier than a few other options around.

The nachos are alright! I had the small size nachos with beef and between two people we still could not finish it. I loved the little taco bowls of Salsa and Sour cream that that accompany this dish. This quaint little bar is an institution in Coquitlam. For as long as I can remember, it’s always been a go to spot around North Road even before the sky train was built. Beer pricing is cheap and there is plenty of free parking. Our server was friendly and didn’t pester us like some servers can to keep you ordering. Definitely a cool place with a room with 2 pool tables. The furniture is somewhat dated, but that’s too be expected. This place looks like an old neighborhood bar and there is a cool familiarity with it. All in all, it’s a good place for pub fare and drinks. Great for watching the game also.

Ah the Foggy Dew, known by many as the Foggy Don’t. It’s not that bad of a place actually. Until it becomes the only place everyone in the Tricities and New West wants to go at night. The Pros: –no cover –coat check is by donation –drinks are reasonably priced –DJ plays good music on Friday and Saturday nights There used to be(terrible) live bands that would play before the DJ but thankfully they don’t play anymore. –It’s close to home(for me at least) and those in the Tricities/New West. –It doesn’t have the usual club vibe. It’s an Irish pub with a dance floor so it can suit everyone. The Cons: –terrible live bands(think of somebody’s forty-something year old uncle still trying to make it big) that are so loud you can’t hear each other talk, even on the opposite side of the bar –if you live in the Tricities/New West, you will definitely run into people you know. It’s like a high school reunion, which can be good or bad. You decide. Overall, it’s not a bad place. It’s your typical Irish pub that livens up on the weekends. Age group is usually barely legals to mid twenties. I feel like I’m getting too old to venture this place as I keep seeing people I knew when they were in kindergarten when I was almost in middle school. Plus since I’ve been so many times, the excitement has worn off. But it’s not a bad place to check out if you’re in the area.

This place during both the day and night qualifies as a guilty pleasure type of place. During the afternoon if you go for food, expect standard pub food. Don’t expect gothams stake house level food. You get what you pay for. During the night it’s full of younger kids and packed especially on Fridays due to it being one of the few clubby establishments around the area. If you expect an Irish atmosphere it’s not. It’s like a watered down version of the roxy. A hit or a miss sort of place. If you go there with low standards and for a good night, you’ll most likely get it. A little over capacity on Fridays though which leads to crappy service from the bartenders. It’s why everyone goes there wasted.

The Wings are excellent — friendly Bar staff. Good beers. Lots of seating. Plenty of TVs to see the game. I’ll come back. Fun place — will visit again!

You feel like having a burger but don’t want to have something too heavy? Go for the sliders — 3 mini ones for the price of 10 bucks. They go well with a cocktail. I went with the Holy Water martini(raspberry sour, blur curaçao, 7-up), which was so tasty and sweet that I could have gotten drunk off of multiple orders of that no problem. The Foggy Dew is a decent bar to meet up with friends(e.g. couple of drinking pals or girls’ night out) but going there to meet new people, or new flings, is generally low on the expectation scale. First off, the barriers or the wooden walls between every two tables have to go. It would be much easier catching the eye of a cute guy some ways off if there were no obstacles like these walls in the way — or if the pub were to have an open floor concept. Second, it doesn’t lend much of an atmosphere that can help you mingle with your neighbours, especially if you aren’t sitting at the bar counter, which by the way doesn’t seem to be used much. This is more of a four-person-table-booths-everywhere kind of pub. I’ve heard there’d be a dance floor. Saw no such thing around, unless you’re okay with just standing up at your table and doing your moves in one spot to the music.

I went during the day. Decent food and the beer selection was surprisingly good. I’ll have to see what the night life is like.

Great place to have a good time at without having to go downtown. Drinks are reasonably priced and its about as clean as a bar could be.

Been to the Foggy Dew several times now and it’s a decent enough time. I think wherever you go the time spent there really depends on your attitude; any place can be a good time if you want it to be. The inside is very much a pub style. Lots of booths and tables to sit at and the place is pretty spacious. A huge bonus for me is that you don’t have to pay cover on a Friday or Saturday night. The main reason I come here is to dance. The regular DJ is really nice, plays a variety of old and new music, and takes song requests! I do wish the D-floor was a little bit bigger because I need my room to get down… if you feel me. The bartenders are pretty nice and have no problem giving me free water, unlike other places that charge and force you to buy a bottle *cough* Roosters *cough*. Anywho, I dig this place.

The food was good and the cost was decent. The look and«atmosphere» was nice but after 9 it completely changes from a Pub environment to a Club environment. It felt understaffed with our waitress making inconsistent check ups/no check ups at all. I did notice that the other reviews are correct with the watering down of drinks.

This placed sucked so bad we left to go somewhere else. The service, so slow and rude. She only paid attention to us until 9:30 because after that it’s pay as you order, which is really really weird and very inconvenient. Also made a comment about not tipping her well, why the hell should we when your so disrespectful. No customer service what so ever. At one point I asked for the server twice for a drink we got nothing so we decided to just leave. The food was meh, nothing to special. If your going with a low key group who just want to chill and relax, do not go here. But if you like being drunk and crazy then go right ahead. Overall I would never ever go here or recommend it to anyone else. It’s a gong show.

I’ve always wanted to check this place out. It seems to have quite the rep in the New West, Coquitlam and Burnaby area. Last night was a bit fuzzy, but I do know that 4.25 long islands are on special Saturday nights. They have a live band and a DJ. That should be enough incentive for you to check this place out if you live near it. (Also, in my opinion Coquitlam/Burnaby has a great under-the-radar«hot girl population.» Meaning most people don’t think of hot girls when they think of Coquitlam, but locals know what’s up.)
The crowd is mostly 19 – 22 year-olds mixed in with some middle aged(I’d say 80⁄20 split). I got the vibe that this place has a lot of usuals that come every weekend. Service from the waitresses was nice, but the bartenders were slow. The bartenders were dudes mostly flirting with girls or taking care of their usuals, but the waitresses were better with getting us drinks. Security was nice, they were patient with my friend’s cousin. He was plastered before it was even 11, and they didn’t throw him out until much later in the night. It basically carries the same vibe as The Blarney Stone(in Gastown). I’d say that band’s better here, they play better party music. If I’m remembering right, music ranged from«Sweet Home Alabama» from the band, to «Get Low» from the DJ. Usually you don’t expect much, but the live band that night was great. Their vocalist was good, easily one of the best bar bands I’ve heard.

I’ve been here a couple times at night where its been extremely busy, a line up to get in, they’re playing awesome music, a live band and everyones on the dance floor. For St. Patrick’s day, we went in the afternoon expecting it to be already busy, but it was pretty slow, and there were lots of empty tables. They also didn’t have their full menu which was upsetting, there was hardly any choices to pick from. They did have entertainment which were irish dancers. We didn’t get to stay late that night so not sure if it got busier in the evening, but it was a bit of a let down to be in an irish pub on St. Patrick’s day, while there was nothing going on. And they didn’t even have green beer !

I’ve been here a few times, and I’ll probably keep going here because it’s easy to get to and they’re right next to the liquor store(just in case I get tired of the pub and need to head home). Beer on tap is overpriced, but at least they had the winter ale which was the only reason why I went in there to eat. I ordered the Cajun Chicken Sandwich, and it was pretty good. However, once we’d finished our meal and the waitress had taken our plates away, she forgot about us. As in, she literally forgot about us. I guess she thought her work was done, because we waited about twenty minutes for the bill(it was deserted when we went as we were there at around 7 p.m. mid-week) and we could see her hanging around the bar while we were waiting. When she didn’t ask if we wanted anything else OR give us the bill, we went over there just to find her sitting at the bar doing the crossword. Excuse me, what?! Anyway, we asked another waitress for the bill – hoping that this was some indication that our waitress was ridiculous without outright saying it – paid and left.

Good beer, good service, Bad food. Nightly special, goulash soup. meat was hard like it was old and left over so they put it in the soup. The Burger, meat patty and a veggie burger put together on dry toasted white bread in a triple Decker sandwich. Did I mention dry? Luckily the bartender was very nice, lots of beers on tap and hockey on the TV’s. Now if they could only get a chef this place would be good.
