It was alright. Comfy seating, food was average. I got their baked pork chop on rice which is an HK café staple. I felt there wasn’t enough cheese though, and they could have put more tomato sauce on. However the pork chop was still very crispy even under the sauce and overall I would say this was quite well done. There’s a hot or cold drink plus soup included in this meal and I would come back and order this again if I was in the area.

First time coming here and can’t exactly say it was anything above mediocre. I ordered the Borscht soup as a starter which was quite bland and had absolutely no meat in it at all. For the main course I got the spaghetti bolognese which basically just tasted like spaghetti with a poor excuse of meat sauce if you could even call it that. Not to mention their restroom is absolutely disgusting. The stall was basically covered in what seemed like brown and bubbly mould growing on both sides. Its total lack of atmosphere and decoration makes this place seem like a funeral for bad food. The only reason I’m giving it two stars was because the wait time was quite fast and I was too hungry to really care. But this place isn’t all that great but for the price it’s considered decent.

So we walk in, the lady at the cash register mumbles something and points into the distance, cool i guess we’ll seat ourselves without any menus. We waited a good 3 minute until the menus finally arrived. You know how long 3 minutes is without a menu? 180 seconds of blank stares into the distance. At this point you’re probably thinking«why didn’t we just raise our hands and ask.» Well we did, stood up, nobody was around. Foods good doe.

We used to come to Silver Tower a lot when we lived in the area, usually for late night food which was good. Sometimes we were there when Matsuyama’s wait was too long too. More recently, we’ve been going to Silver Tower for their breakfast, however. They offered the typical A+B style of breakfast where you would order toast, eggs done any style, and some sort of protein(luncheon meat, ham, sausage, etc.) along with some sort of noodle in soup. We have Asian breakfast at least once a week, so this place probably would be #3 or #4 on my list. The service isn’t great, but the portions are decent. Stars taken away for the fact that half the time when I get my noodle in soup, my noodles are usually clumped into a ball that I have to separate myself. Doesn’t really look super appetizing when you add satay beef sauce in there too. Anyway, it’s a solid choice. We go back if we’re in Richmond but otherwise, we’d probably prefer The Boss, Duotian, or Oscar instead.

Great tasting HK food. I love their creamy corn and chicken/ham soup that comes with meal sets. Their baked tomato pork chop cutlet on rice is delicious. I also like the bitter melon gourd and beef dish. Great place to eat with family or friends if you are craving HK food. Finding parking is a concern though.

My friend had to work late one night so I offered to pick her up and drive her to her car in Richmond. Since we were out anyways we ended up going for a late night snack. Lets see I picked her up at about 130 am so where can you go for a late night snack in Richmond at 2 am? We wanted to go to Neptune Seafood Restaurant for their hot pot drunken chicken. When we got there their doors were closing so we were SOL… Anyways, there are only 2 places in Richmond that I can think of that serves decent Chinese food at 2 am… Number 9 and Silver Tower Café. We ended up at Silver Tower. For what it is Silver Tower is pretty good. They serve up some pretty tasty early morning rice and noodle dishes for hungry Asians who should be asleep as opposed to stuff more food in their bellies! Haha We ordered 3 things… a beef noodle dish, salted chicken egg rice dish, and fried chicken wings with fries. They were all good! I liked the fried chicken wings and french fries. Super crispy. Overall, there are not a lot of food alternatives at 2 am, but Silver Tower Café is certainly one of your better ones! Oh by the way I got home at about 4 am and got to bed at about 5 am that day… iyah… the things I do for people hey? Hahaha!

We stopped by for a late lunch and ordered a rice and a pasta dish. Both items included a drink. Food was the standard HK style café fare. I found my Portuguese style chicken on rice was mostly potatoes and a few pieces of chicken. The sauce was decent. My milk tea was standard.

When we were there at around 2-ish on a Friday afternoon, there were plenty parking spaces in the parking lot. The food is okay, nothing spectacular. In terms of portion size, I have to say that it is large side. As for service, some of the servers have attitude problems resulting in less than ideal experience at the restaurant. There are plenty of choices in the area that there is probably no reason to come back.

My friend and I were lucky finding parking spot around 8pm and didn’t wait to be seated. Yay, there was a table for both of us. My experience was perfect. Service was fast and the server was very nice. She kindly explained what Baked Portuguese Chicken($ 11.25 comes with soup and a drink) was. The server said it’s like curry with coconut sauce in it and it’s sweet and creamy. It was a very new dish which I never tried before. I got that and my buddy got Hainanese Chicken Vermicelli($ 9.25 and doesn’t come with a drink). I have to add that SilverTower doesn’t charge extra for cold drink along with my Portuguese chicken dish. I really liked my dish. It came out piping hot, creamy and delicious. My buddy loved her Hainanese Chicken noodle as well. She’s been here multiple times and always ordered that dish. And she said to avoid dish with XO sauce because that sauce isn’t good here. Good thing I didn’t order anything with XO sauce. Anyways It was my first visit here and loved how there’s no extra charge for cold drink for my baked food. You can order a hot drink as well(eg. lemon tea or milk tea). I didn’t wait for my to go box and server brought it for me. That was nice.

I came here ’cause it was cheap and they had a combo special. There wasn’t much choice in the area and my stomach was screaming for food. The food is not that great, overly greasy that makes you feel worse than when you started but that is just me and my stomach, everyone else seems to like it. Myself on the other hand come here ’cause it was open really late. One of the few places in and around that area that was open late. I came here after working late on set. Craft Services on set packed up already and I didn’t want to go home on an empty stomach so tried this as an option. Decent customer service.

I have good news. Silver Tower officially has the best Baked pork chop on rice in Richmond. I thought it was Deer Garden– I was almost going to stop my search at deer garden! And then I came here and ate a more delicious BPOR and I can’t believe I was going to STOP trying at Deer Garden! I’ve tried about twenty baked pork chops in Vancouver, Richmond and Hong Kong: Silver Tower comes in first in richmond– second overall(Goldstone in Chinatown is still the best). I’m definitely going to be a regular here. Even better– I saw my friends’ meals– they got the 3 items for 13 $ and boy, did it look delicious. Thick cut meats, moist, lots of sauce, high quality– panko crusted filets. This is my new HK Café spot in Richmond!

Service 2⁄5 stars Food: 3⁄5 stars Service was horrible, but what do you expect… this is a Chinese restaurant. Spontaneously, we were hungry at night, so we looked up a place to eat. I ordered: Preserved egg congee: 3⁄5 – the congee came out really hot! I really appreciate that! Tip: Parking at night(11pm) can be problematic, so don’t drive your nicest car to this plaza.

Late night meal on a Sunday. Got introduced to this venue. Very long menu and lots to choose from. I was curious about the hainanese chicken but decided to play it safe for a first try litmus: three meat mix and match with cutlet basa, grilled ox tongue, and lamb chops. First of all, the cream soup doesn’t look impressive but it was fantastic as a starter. The meal was impressive in the sense that I got exactly want I wanted: filling, not bland, and tasty. Hot oil does spice up the white rice a lot. I got a grass jelly/red bean cooler on the side. The cooler wasn’t done well with blocky unbroken ice but it was a treat. Overall, $ 17 for a super late midnight meal with all the fixings and feeling stuffed afterwards. Good for the timing and demands. Tea washed everything down. Cleansed my palette. The mix and match is definitely worth it. In other words, nothing amazing but fulfills all metrics for what we wanted. Will return.

They have awesome Portuguese(white cream sauce) baked chicken here! I highly recommend it! I also highly recommend their turnip cake! I actually hate turnip cake in general but Silver Tower makes it really good! Their iced lemon tea is yummy too! I’ll definitely come here again!

This place is known for their baked rice and fried rice. The must try is their baked tomato pork chop on rice. It isn’t too salty and the pork chop is tender. Each morsel of rice is covered with a nice yellow colour which means it is fully coated with a thin layer of egg. My only problem is the lack of parking but overall it is a good place to eat with family or with a large group of friends

A local Hong Kong style café. Great lunch deals with free HK style coffee or tea. I had the duck and preserved style fried rice and the portion was huge. My friend had the mix and match combo that comes with lots of options. If you love Chinese fusion head on ova!

Like almost everybody else here, I went with the 2 meat combo, since that seemed like the best deal haha. I got the Korean style short ribs and the fish cutlet. It was actually really tasty and a lot better than expected! The Korean short ribs were on the chewier side, but the meat had been really well marinated and retained a lot of flavour. The fish cutlet was thick, lightly battered, and very fragrant. The black pepper sauce that came on the side overwhelmingly salty. However, the hollandaise sauce that came with the cutlet was delicious, it wasn’t too sweet nor too sour. My meal also came with soup, and I went with the HK style cream soup. It was alright, a tad bit watered down, but it had chunks of chicken in it. All combos also come with a free hot drink! It’s an extra $ 1 if you want to make it iced, as is with most HK cafes. I waited a long time for my food, but the waitress did come over to apologize for the wait, which I thought was better service than most HK cafes.

Love the cutlet fish here, I always get the mix and match($ 10 for 2 choice, $ 13 for 3 choice) comes with soup and a hot/cold drink. They do a pretty decent milk tea as well, not as sweet as other places. Service is good, all you need to do is ask, if you sit there and don’t wave at or call a server don’t expect much. Neither the cream soup nor the borscht are particularly good but they’re up to food court standards I guess. This is my go to place for late night eats cause I know they’ll always be open and I can always get my favourites.
