Semiramis Mediterranean Mezze Bar

Good food, nice atmosphere and Great service. I enjoyed the appetizers so much. Main course was good although the rice portion wasn’t enough. For sure I’ll come back again.

We went few times as we know the owner, to test the food for them. the food was amazing, the Chef is so friendly and hospitable, the restaurant is not in full operation yet and people started to go in.
I can’t wait until it’s completely open.

With all do respect to the other reviews, I’m not quite sure what you expected. For what this place is, it’s phenomenal.
I eat paleo. No grains. No carbs. Semiramis delivers every time. I’ve been here 3 times. The service was decent. Friendly. Perhaps lacking some intuition but this isn’t Yaletown. This isn’t Hawksworth. If you needed the waitress after an hour of sitting there, man-​up and find her.
The food is incredible. Rivalled only by Babylon Café, the flavours are genuine and the kebabs are brilliant. The meat is seasoned and cooked perfectly. Always tender. Always more than I can eat at great prices. Ask for extra garlic sauce. It is the best thing on Robson right now.
If this is for take out, you owe it to yourself to go here. If you’re looking for a 5-​star service experience, go to Blue Water.
They always say «know your audience» but in this case, the audience should «know their venue». I don’t go to the monster truck rally to hobnob with the elite and wealthy. I don’t go to Semiramas for the service although they are a friendly bunch if you just take a few moments to chat with them. Simply having been here twice, one gentleman stopped to welcome me back and thank me for my patronage. The chef was happy to throw a tabuleh salad in my order on the house for my loyalty.
I can’t recall the last time any restaurant in Vancouver welcomed me back after recognizing me only for having visited twice. That doesn’t sound like intentionally horrible customer service. It sounds like we might be bridging a culture gap or perhaps simply a learning curve for new restaurateurs. How do I know? I’ve never been to Lebanon. I’ve only socialized with some wonderful Lebanese people over the years, one of which was impressed by the authenticity of some of their dishes and flavours.
I go because for $ 20, I can eat enough meat to properly fuel a man that has been in the gym lifting weights to fatigue for 2.5 hours. THAT’S what makes Semiramis so unbelievable. I get meat and vegetables. Not a plate filled with rice. Not a plate filled with potatoes. I get meat and vegetables.
If that doesn’t speak to the healthy and waist-​conscious Vancouverite, I’m not sure what will.
Semiramas is KING for Lebanese on Robson.

Recently opened and rising in popularly. Expect to wait a bit longer for your order because this is not Fast Food. Absolutely delicious kebob combos.
Atmosphere is terrific, very friendly and indeed a place to relax and enjoy live singers or a Belly dance performance.
They sure know how to have fun !

Worst restaurant experience ever!
First they gave us a menu and came back 1 hour later to take the order! Yes 1 hour (no exaggeration here) and then after waiting for another 30min they came back and said sorry we don’t have any food from the menu you have, and they replaced it with a smaller menu.
After that they came back to take the order and told us sorry we only have three items left!!! That after waiting for almost 2 hours. The only thing that made us stay is the fact that it was a friend’s birthday party! :/​
Of course after we ordered from the three items that they have left, the food came after 45min and it was cold and tasted below average.
The funniest thing ever is that when they brought the bill, they have the original items that we ordered when we came in (I.e. The stuff that they didn’t have in the first place) plus they added gratuity automatically to the bill.
They had the worst waiters and managers ever very rude and they didn’t even apologize for anything plus all of that is on A Saturday night! A premium night! I wonder what their service would look like during the week! I’m sure they are empty as its not worth it to waist any kind of day there.

I consider myself somewhat of an expert in Mediterranean food :-)) In terms of kebabs, authenticity and taste wise — probably one of the best ones in Vancouver. The ambiance might need somewhat of an improvement — but the place has just had its soft opening. In terms of value and selection its also closer to 4 stars. So far: Yay! I’am a fan and will definitely come back.
