Great décor and ambience, with lots of food, coffee and tea selection. Host Andy and his mom Sophia are a sweet team, and they took cared of my folks and I. We were here early on Sunday, and had a wonderful brunch. I highly recommend the crepes and panini selections! I can’t get over the décor though — so unique and very classic-chic! Check out the photos of the interior!

If there was an option to give more stars, I would gladly do so! This place is a gem!!! Hosted a retirement party for a large group here. They were AMAZING! Andy, Falicia and all of the staff were great to deal with. Very friendly & helpful. The café is absolutely beautiful inside. The décor is charming and the windows make is very bright inside. Location very central and easy access for parking, walking or transit. The food was absolutely delicious. I had the high tea and loved every bit of it. Very high quality food. They were also able to accommodate special dietary requests and the even did a cute little kids set for the little one. I’m usually not a scone fan but this place might have converted me. THEBEST scone I have ever had. You have to try one! Soffee Café is a fabulous place for any occasion really. Stop by for a quick bite or host a large group. You won’t regret going here! Enjoy! Thanks Soffee Café for hosting a wonderful event. Our guests are already talking about going back.

Cute set up glad we made resos cause it was packed. Only one waitress working so it was pretty slow service. I ordered a grilled cheese without advocato and when it came out there were apples in it which im allergic to and it didnt even say on the menu? I didnt ask for a new one cause it took long enough by itself. The drinks were good. But i felt like the food quality was alright a bit too much cheese

I was excited to go to Soffee Café, it’s cute and quaint. The food was very good but the service was so slow it ruined the meal. They need more servers so the food gets out to the clients in an organized and logical way.

I went here with some friends after their wedding. The décor was nice and cosy, and it looked promising. Alas no. We were the only table, yet service was frightfully slow(20 minutes to order, what felt like 45 minutes for stuff to arrive), our orders were wrong, and the food and tea was so-so, yet dreadfully expensive. The quality of ingredients was high, but unfortunately not tasty. Methinks not.

My friend wanted to try Soffee Café so back I went. Had the full afternoon tea set at Soffee previously, so I opted for just the lighter demi tea this time. I was very surprised they remembered me from about 6 months ago! And possibly for that reason, our tea sets each got a bonus macaron. Or maybe because I was taking pictures this time — which is why I try to be sneaky about taking pictures, or(more typically) I don’t do it at all. Still, everyone tells me it’s the new normal. I’m undecided about how much it might alter service or taint a review. The demi tea is of course lighter than the full tea, so it works out to be about half a lunch, or a lunch for smaller appetites. Strangely, the standout today for me was the crème brûlée. I also opted to try their«fresh fruit tea», which is +$ 5.95 for a naturally caffeine-free«12hr slow brew» of fresh tropical fruits. Looked like a mix of mostly orange with some lime(?) and a raspberry. Tasted like fresh orange juice served hot. Interesting to have but I don’t think it’s really worth an extra $ 6. Our two demi tea sets were slightly different in the sweets, but fortunately my teatime partner and I didn’t go to war over the mini chocolate tart. This may or may not be your experience, but it certainly gives you the option of seeing more variety in the tea set and doing some trading if you like certain items more. The out-of-the-way spot is still a great room for a quiet, elegant, dignified afternoon tea. Décor is beautiful, like Martha Stewart’s drawing room. Even the bathroom is very cosy, complete with romantic lighting, soothing potpurri, and even a couple of magazines.

Rivals the Empress Hotel in Victoria for high tea. They would like you to call ahead for reservations because everything is prepared fresh«from the heart» said the owner… She and her son provide lovely, attentive service and amazing food. While we waited the approximately 30 minutes for our tea to be prepared, we indulged in bowls of their seafood chowder. No thick & gloppy mess here: large pieces of identifiable seafood in a lovely flavored broth. High tea starts with an amazing little shrimp salad(you are surrounded by water on 3 sides here), then a perfectly cooked scallop nestled on a bed of cucumber & orange slices. The tower of treats was lovely — perfectly poached & seasoned asparagus wrapped in lean & lovely prosciutto, a salmon mini-croissant sandwhich, an amazing little panda cotta topped with perfect blueberry compote… Cream puff with real strawberry flavored whip cream. And the tea itself was good too! A cute, eating at grandma’s house place but grandma never cooked like this!

Thank you Soffee Café for a lovely afternoon! A couple of weekends ago we rented out Soffee Café for a few hours to host our best friends bridal shower. Andy and his team could not have been more amazing and helpful to us! Soffee Café is a relatively new high tea and café spot tucked away off of West Broadway between Granville and Hemlock street with metered parking out front. Andy graciously gave us an hour to set-up before all our guests were expected to arrive while him and his team were busily moving around tables, chairs, place settings, and preparing food in the back to accompany our 20 guests. His quaint café was a perfect size for our count where we were still able to comfortably take photos and mingle. We went with the afternoon demi tea which included house blended teas that included an assortment of black, green, herbal teas, and fresh fruit teas(for an extra charge for fruit brew). I went with the passion fruit mango green tea and loved it! Everybody seemed happy with their tea choices which only means their curated tea list has something for everybody. The demi tea set comes with eight pieces — four savory and four sweet. Definitely a great choice if you’re looking for a light meal. Everything was well-prepared and made with care! I especially liked the shrimp cocktail salad, mini croissantwich, panna cotta, and lemon tart. You can tell the menu had been really thought out as it was well balanced. Service was excellent with the owner Andy manning the front end, and his momma manning the kitchen! Would definitely recommend this café for whatever reason, but especially if you wanted to host a baby or bridal shower :)

I suppose it is a good thing when you’re finished your food and you wish there was more… However, in this case, it was because I wasn’t satiated. The food was tasty, but the $ 14 sandwich I had felt like a bit of a rip off. It had smoked salmon in it; probably 1 piece per side of the sandwich and a tiny little side salad, which had raisins on it to make it seem fancier. They made a killing on that dish. I could probably recreate it with the exact ingredients for less than $ 5. That being said, I think this place is probably better for high tea judging from other ppl’s reviews. Their croissant pudding, I think it was called, was very good. It was something of a bread pudding but made from croissants. It was very tasty and a great portion for $ 4.50. I would still go back here, but I would order something different instead. I would also like to sit inside as the outside tables have this really small bench in one side and the tables squish your legs because the table legs are in a precariously awkward position. Inside are nice cozy looking chairs, but there isn’t a ton of seating, so getting reservations might not be a bad idea.

I walked by this place a couple of times and made a mental note to check it out. I finally got around to it today and was glad I did! The staff was courteous, helpful, friendly, chatty-but not overwhelming. I had an Americano and it was perfect-better than I expected, honestly(I’m a bit of a self-professed coffee snob). Unfortunately, I didn’t get to try any home baked treats as I’m on a strict diet at the moment but next time, I will for certain as they looked delectable!

I saw this reviewed on the front page of Unilocal on May 17th and thought that it would be a perfect place for high tea. This review is weeks late, embarrassingly(apologies for letting this one slip for such a fantastic place). A group of us came a few weeks ago as part of a private Unilocal event and some meet up crew. First off, I appreciate the location as it is off the beaten path which makes it quiet. The place is still easy to access. The décor is cozy and small, like your elegant English grandmother. Limited seating, therefore, for large parties you have to book at least a week in advance, especially if there are special requests and or dietary specifications. They don’t have a lot of tea selection, however, what they do have is of higher quality compared to the other high tea places that I have been to. It’s a family run business. Mom is in the back preparing the food. The sun is the waiter. They make you feel like one of your own. In fact they made all 13 of us feel like their adopted children the way they treated us with love. Hands down the ham and cheese french toast was amazing. I had the demi gluten free high tea. Prices are at par with other establishments.

So glad this little gem opened up in my neighbourhood. So far I’ve been here twice and I couldn’t get the berry compote French toast out of my head. The crêpe is excellent as well. Exceptional service and usually no line ups. Perfect place to host bridal showers, birthday parties, or Mother’s Day lunch. Can’t wait to try their afternoon high tea.

Cutest little café I’ve ever seen! I’ve visited a lot of coffee shops, but nothing like this. The attention to detail in this place is unbelievable. Mother’s Day lunch was amazing – high tea and savory crepes, with friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. I’ll definitely be visiting again!

I liked the ham and cheese crepes. But the tea was not really hot. So I asked her to change it with boiled water instead of hot water. And also asked if I could get a new clean cup as my cup was half filled with the first tea, she said could she just dump the leftover and bring the same cup to me?! The bartender was had a very artificial«nice» behaviour! She was trying to show herself friendly, though she wasn’t really. She spoke so posey which I hated.
