A gem nestled amongst a lot of mediocre tourist fare. Their seafood options are excellent – the smoked marlin was a particular highlight. Service is the best I’ve experienced in any restaurant in the city, and food comes out quickly and with several salsa/sauce choices. Excellent deal for the price. And you can’t beat the view!

We’ve been here twice on our vacation so far and are really loving it. Probably the cheapest and best thing you’ll find in this area of the hotel zone. Great, fast service and amazing food; I had excellent beef on my quesadilla and my boyfriend has had consistently well-seasoned and fresh fish. Make sure to try their salsas too!(The $$$ is definitely wrong– undoubtedly a $)

I admit… I was nervous about eating at a waterfront restaurant because the food is never as good as the view. Well, this place proved me wrong. The cucumber and something like a spicy, lighter — colored mole arrived as a complimentary appetizer. Delicious. The grouper tacos were flat out delicious albeit skimpy on the grouper(thus the 4-star review). Service was impeccable, and dare I say every bit as good as a 5-star restaurant. Servers were funny and friendly and very attentive as to when to approach the table. Great choice for seafood.

You have to walk past ALL of the coupon givers, tour sellers, and other pushy restaurant hosts to get to the Lighthouse. It’s annoying, but learn to say no or shake your head and keep walking until you get here!(unless it is someone with a drink coupon for the Lighthouse… take that one…) Both times we went, Deyler was our waiter. Charming and fantastic. What more do you need in a server? Misael was also around and kept us laughing. Great staff here. The first night I got the fish tacos(the ones not actually listed under«tacos» on the menu. Very good. The next night(yeah, we went back the next night it was that good) I got the shrimp tacos. You can get them either fried or grilled. I went for grilled, put the chipotle-mayo sauce on them… so good! We also all shared the caramel crêpe and the nutella crêpe. Definitely worth the calories! Also worth the calories: the Golden Margaritas. My favorite margarita from anywhere during my week in Cancun. Before our meals came, they also brought a plate with cucumber and(I think…) jicama and the three sauces. A different kind of «appetizer». Light and good for you too! And you can’t beat the view towards the sunset!

Great service. Right on the ocean with a good view for sunset. Food was fantastic. I had the pork tacos, friends had the beef nachos and fish tacos. We finished the night with caramel and nutella crepes. 2 for 1 drinks were the strongest on our trip.

I absolutely loved his place. As I was wandering around a very American mall in Cancun I came across a sweet«jalador» who talked me up for a bit and gave me a drink ticket — buy one, get one free. Because I wanted to watch the Mexico vs Equador futbol game on their big screen, I decided it would a good place to grab some some bites and a beer or two. The service was fantastic the deep-fried tacos are yummy. I got the combination plate. One taco with shark, one taco with disco though, one taco with shrimp. Overall the adventure was super I highly recommend this place.

Had the whole fish and it was good but not memorable. Free drinks were offered and they were good. Chips and salsa was also good. If at home in la I wouldn’t go back but not a bad place for a meal. Looks like the meal will be awful based on atmosphere/menu. Pleasant surprise.

This restaurant is located on the edge of the shopping center ‘la isla’, but it is absolutely not to be missed. The people lure you in, just like any other, but they continue with the amazing service that you would expect. With each meal they serve chips and some fun dipping sauces. The chips are actually crispy(not so much at other places). This place(as with many others) has a drink deal. Buy 2 for the price of one(on most drinks). The best part is, it’s not the dinky half size that you get free at other places. The coconut shrimp is HUGE and delicious. We didn’t care too much for the mango sauce, but used the chip sauces and amazing pico instead. We got the breaded fish tacos and it was heaven. We left extremely full and happy! One thing, they hadn’t added the tax to our meal so it was hand written afterward, which seemed a bit odd. Then if you’re using a card, you have to select the tip while the waiter is standing next to you on the card machine. Overall, great service and probably best food in la isla!

This is seriously the best restaurant ever. They provide free wifi. The food is so fresh and the price is affordable. THESERVICEISSOGOOD. The waiters are extremely nice, when we wanted to dig the coconut meat, they provided to open it for us and gave us free lime and dipping. The exchange rate here is 1:14 for US dollar, unlike some restaurants use 1:13 or even 1:12 exchange rates. Love the restaurant!

Very fresh and tasty food. Prices were the best we found. They gave the best exchange rate for US $. And I had a huge fried fish which was awesome. Just see the pics. They start you off with this hicima(sp?) and cucumber mix with various sauces. It was refreshing even though my husband and I don’t like those vegetables. Service was great and we got a table overlooking the lagoon which was nice. I highly recommend this place for a meal for sure.
