Delicious! A must if you’re ever in puerto vallarta. Be careful of their large margarita — it really is huge(the mouth of the glass is bigger than my face!) It equates to 3 margaritas

Our family of 12 ate there on 6÷8÷16. We traveled from Chicago, Baltimore, California and Ohio— Pancho’s Takos rocks!!! Al Pastor tacos were delicious. Our family must have consumed at least 50 tacos all together and left paying less than $ 60US dollars. Amazing food. Only downfall was too hot, humid, no air condition. The fan did not help at all as it was blowing hot air into our faces. The service was Excellent. We will come back again next year. Thanks and keep up the great food!

Totally worth the hype. Located in Old Town PV. Easily the best Al Pastor tacos in town. Fast, friendly service.

This is by far the best Al pastor taco I have ever had in my life. No other taco compares. The juicy meat and fresh smoked pineapple are unforgettable. I woke up this morning dreaming about the al pastor. Their sauces are another big hit! Sorry mom but panchos sauces are the best I have tasted! Go get this now! 6⁄5 stars

I’ve had al pastor at a few different taco spots in PV and Panchos takes the cake. We eat here almost every night for fourthmeal. You can get 8 tacos for under 100 pesos. That’s cheaper than Taco Bell and a million times better. Their quesadillas are also divine — so much cheese and absolute perfection in every bite. You can dine in(outside) or take food to go. We do both. I love their avocado salsa.

Pancho’s Takos is truly over the top good! Lived up to its well earned reputation to the tee, and then some. My wife and I ordered four tacos al pastor plus four more tacos de chorizo. They were all simply delicious to the last bite. The ambiance is very casual, nothing fancy with every table taken which means good food! The servers were running back and forth at a hectic pace but they still managed to meet all our needs in a timely fashion. The prices are well below what you’d expect for such quality food. This place is a must go restaurant for anyone visiting Puerto Vallarta! Highly recommended! — Cheers!

The reviews for this place are spot on. We stayed at Garza Blancs and left the resort everyday to come here for tacos, so worth the trip and prices are exceptional. Def go with the el pastor. Chorizo is good as well.

Poncho’s Takos gets a 5 star review from my party. My 5 star reviews are limited to exceptional places, and this is one of them. We ordered the el pastor tacos, chicken tacos, pork chop tacos, and drinks. The table was set with fresh lime, mango salsa, and three other salsas. Our food came quickly after we ordered. The el pastor tacos were by far the best thing we are. We ordered two more rounds after we tasted how good they were. At 12 pesos each, they were less than a dollar. You can’t beat that. By the time we finished our meal there was a line waited to be seated. It was pretty amazing, and it’s obvious that the word is out. If you’re in Puerto… go to Pancho’s Takos. You’ll be full when you leave and you will come back for more. Well done Pancho… well done.

Simple, delicious tacos accompanied with 4 different types of salsa and fresh limes. Our favs were the al pastor tacos and the chorizo tacos. We had 13 tacos in total between the two us and the check came in under US$ 20! I have no idea how I inhaled so many tacos! It’s was freak’n amazing. We’ll be back!

I wanted some damn good tacos, and Unilocal suggested this place. It opens at 6pm, so get there early because this place fills up fast. I got the chicken tacos which are about $ 1 each. The give you condiments to make your food taste superb. Drink menu is great too. Beware, you will have more than one, these suckers are addicting AF.

While this is a bold statement, I believe it to be true: This is the best Taco I’ve ever had. The al pastor tacos are out of this world. The warm pineapple, the slow spit roasted pastor and the corn tortilla come together in beautiful harmony. If for some reason this doesn’t do it for you, add some of the avocado hot sauce they bring to your table and it’ll put you over the edge. They also have a «Volcano» taco which is the pastor taco with melted cheese — holy Jesus in heaven it’s good. Also the avocado stuffed with pastor. ANYTHINGWITHTHATPERFECTPASTOR! We went 4 times. FOUR! Pancho’s is busy. busy. busy. because when you’ve perfected your craft, people take notice. Be prepared to wait and stuff into a tiny table knowing that your patience will be rewarded the best taco known to man. Bring cash, and go. Go! Please for the love of God go!

This little gem in Old Town PV was perhaps the best value meal I’ve ever had. A taco Al Pastor was prepared by Romero on the rotisserie and flat grill to perfection. A queso chorizo bake was unreal and resulted in 5 more tacos… the dish comes with about 7 or 8 corn tortillas. Perfect cilantro and white onion plates are provided, as are four salsas. Green and red(mild), a creamy red(arbol and HOT), and jicama(habanero and VOLCANIC). ;-) Team service was performed to perfection. All the staff is super friendly… as well as the kitchen. Give them a thumbs up as you leave… they deserve it. My food and one Corona… 107 pesos… $ 6.15. That, my friends, is astonishing.

Came here after going to Bar Marelos and Unilocal did not disappoint on the recommendation. Once we got out the cab we were greeted with wonderful smells coming from the al pastor meat roasting away on its turn-wheel and I knew instantly we picked the right place not to mention it was 3 am and packed. Luckily we nabbed the last table and were seated immediately. They bring you this cute handle with three different types of salsa/hot sauces, limes, and some pickled veggies. Salsa was amazing. Watch out for the orange-y colored one, don’t let the color fool you cause it is deliciously HOT! Ordered the GUACAMOLEANDCHIPS– guac was so fresh, chunky, and flavorful. I hate it when restaurants add so much different ingredients to the guac you can barely taste the avocado, nope not this place. As simple as it gets and it was yummy! As for the tacos we went with ALPASTOR, CHORIZO, CHICKEN, ANDCARNEASADA tacos Everything was delicious but I especially like the al pastor best. Little bites of heaven… That’s what I thought every time I took a bite of my tacos. Paired up with their amazing salsa bam! You got yourself a winner winner al pastor dinner. They don’t skimp on the meat either so after two tacos I was honestly good to go, but since they were so good I kept eating. Service was average, they’re your teenagers waiting and busing tables, not to mention they’re super busy what do you expect? Would I go back? Definitely! Wish I had tacos right now actually mmm mmm mmm! Happy eating everyone!

Puerto Vallarta, you have so many wonderful eateries?! Pass by this place during«normal hours,» and you’ll ALWAYS find a line of people waiting to grab a bite. Luckily, our nocturnal behaviors brought us in at 1am after a light night of clubbing and bar hopping. ATMOSPHERE: It’s a tiny place with limited indoor & outdoor seating. The attention grabber is the vertical spit at the front, slowly cooking and heating the slab of pork, with a pineapple crown at the top. MENU: There was a lot of selections listed, it was 1am, and I was advised by a friend to just try the Al Pastor tacos which were first in the list. Ok, great. Sorry folks, but someone did post a menu pic on here. BEVERAGE: Hibiscus Juice — We saw some locals with glasses of deep red liquid in them. When we inquired, we were told it was hibiscus juice. Our friendly server brought us a sample to taste. Yum it was. It had a slightly sweet note, not overly which is what I loved, and a very subtle juice flavor, like a light Hawaiian Punch. Get some! FOOD: Al Pastor Tacos — If you want the meat from the spit, this is it! Wow, is all I can say. The pork was sliced thin, was tender and juicy with great flavor. In order for cheese to be added, you had to order 4 tacos. Fine by me! I axed the pineapples. The soft tortilla shells are small, about 4″ in diameter, so order away according to your tummy size! Highly recommended! 3 ramakens of sauces were available for drizzling: A green guacamole-like sauce which was mildly good, a reddish sauce which was medium heat, and a brown sauce with seeds of fire. I like to go green. SERVICE: There were lots of tables open at 1am! Our male server was friendly and food service hot and quick! I’ve never had a taco so hot I couldn’t hold it for a few seconds. TIP: They open late in the afternoon and close at 2am. OVERALL: The best tacos in PV! Even the locals were stopping by for a quick bite in the wee hours of the morning; that’s a sign.

I had very high expectations coming here. Raving reviews! 5 stars! The tacos were average, the service was terrible but the atmosphere was very authentic. We came here on a Monday night and the restaurant was very busy. But they were able to sit us immediately. We had to share a table with another couple. There is not much space in the restaurant, all the tables are pretty close to each other. The waiters rush you and make a judgement of your order — really? I don’t need to hear what you think of my order. It’s hard to get waiters attention and they don’t even know what they have. I asked for horchata. The waiter said they run out of it, but he would check. After he checked, he confirmed, no horchata. That’s fine, but why did it show up at my table a few minutes later? The tacos themselves were good, but not amazing. The quality of food in a lot of restaurants in Puerto Vallarta is really good for a really good price, so this place completes with a lot of other great places. And it doesn’t win for me. Overall, it’s a pretty authentic experience, but I would not wait in a long line for it.

Los más deliciosos tacos en todas puerto vallarta! I was in search for the best tacos during my trip to Puerto Vallarta and I found them! Don’t bother with anything else on the menu because the Al Pastor is all you need. At 12 pesos each it means more money for cerveza, am I right? The sauces that accompany the tacos are amazing. They range from mild to very spicy. It also came with a spicy pineapple, mango, salsa, which was delicious. The green sauce was the best. It’s mild but very tasty. I pretty much drowned my tacos in it. Our group wanted margaritas and we thought about ordering the«pancho margarita» but the waiter told us if we ordered three he would put it in the giant margarita glass, so of course we said yes. The glass was HUGE and game with 3 Coronaritas(small Coronas). Everyone was staring at us and the table next to us scream«good night!» Ha! FYI this place doesn’t open until 8 pm. I came by twice and saw they were closed. There isn’t a sign with opening hours but we found out from someone that they open at 8 pm. The menus are in English and most of the waiters speak English pretty well. There were multiple different groups that walked by playing guitars and singing. Of course, they’re trying to get you to pay for it. Also, lots of young kids walking by selling toys, gum, and jewelry. Probably the only downside since it became a bit annoying after many repeated solicitations while eating dinner. Overall it was a fantastic night. Pretty sure our group order 30 tacos, 10 beers, and 1 ultimate margarita. Still cheaper than any meal you’d get in the states. Salud!
