I’m a true Unilocal reviewer & when I heard about how great this place was I had to convince my husband to try it with me! We both had the $ 15 special. Lobster, steak, rice, mashed potatoes, veggies(see photo) The helpings for the rice & potatoes are teeny. Still, for the price that you pay; it is well worth it! My daughter even liked the veggies! They give you complimentary guac /chips with salsa and a seafood dip that is amazing!!! Why pay an arm & leg when you can come here! It looks dead on outside and it’s in an alley behind«El Squid Roe». Not the greatest area but who cares. Roberto is awesome. He has been there for 38 years and so loving and friendly. Some local dude who stopped to use the restroom there got his mountain bike stolen ! So the only thing I can recommend is, don’t leave things unattended, especially around there. It is not the safest location in Cabo. Parking is difficult. We had to park on side streets & walk there. Try it !! My plate was gone within 10 min. I am picky too! :)

The whole red snapper was unbelievable. Very unassuming restaurant from the street but the food and service was great.

Quite the value for what you get. Best shrimp ceviche and cocktail we’ve ever had(we’re from the East Bay near SF, if that tells you anything) but the lobster was just ok, hence the 4 stars… just bein’ real! Great service from Robbie and Luis… very attentive. Family owned and it shows.

What can I say? Loved it! Our faves: the scallops and the flan! Very good rice too. Liked the atmosphere! Will definitely be back when lucky enough to be in Cabo again!

*Family owned & operated for 38 years* Was referred to El Pescador by a vendor… you know, the deal. He writes his name on the back of the coupon and so on. Well it was a GOOD referral!!! The highlight was the fish dip, the guacamole & the LOBSTERTAIL!!! I do believe the guac & lobster were the best I have ever had! That fish dip, WOW! TASTY!!! So good, I had to hug the owner! Roberto is a sweetheart, even got a pic w/him!

El Pescador is AMAZING! It looks like a dive but is one of the best restaurants in Cabo! It’s very inexpensive and quaint and is operated by the owner and his family. Try the El Pescador combo, which includes lobster tails, scallops, shrimp and sea bass — you won’t be disappointed!!!

We ordered the special which was supposed to be $ 16 us, and camarones which was $ 140 pesos, one beer $ 30 pesos and a coke $ 180 pesos, bill should have been $ 32 us, got charged $ 38 us, food was average at best, felt ripped off. Mexico, they over charge you and then get you again on your change as they give you the least on exchange rate. I usually always trust Unilocal, but this time it was not right, should have known with only a couple ratings. We had dinner on the stip at Los claros and ate for $ 21 us for two with beer and soda and it was amazing. This place was recommended but such a disappointment. Buyer be ware!

We found this place wandering the back alleys in Cabo. Of all the restaurants we tried, this was definitely our favorite. Having a Corona and with fresh fish and shrimp was one of the best we had in town. The owners was very friendly and was unlike all the other restaurants which was more aggresive and tourist oriented.

I was wondering the streets aimlessly, in need of food I bumped into El Pescador. From across the street I was already warming up to the place — «The Fisherman» huh? I like fish. In fact it was my last night in Cabo and I had my heart set on lobster tail. I got out front to peruse the menu when an employee told me they’d comp our drinks if we decided to eat there. To this I said — where shall we sit? Let me digress for just this second to tell you that you should rarely if ever in Cabo be drinking if there isn’t a deal involved. BOGO, fully comped, something — Get your haggling skills out I promise it’ll work. Ok back to the review! Before having agreed to this deal I noticed a lobster tail deal. Basically for about $ 15 dollars you get a lobster tail, sides(which included a dash of rice, veggies and mashed potatoes), and your choice of shrimp, scallops, steak or carne. I settled on shrimp. The not to secrete ingredient of the evening was butter. This was abundantly clear as I sat down immediately intoxicated by the smell — this was before my free drinks began arriving. Everything on the plate was saturated with it, in a good way. The lobster tail itself was not of amazing quality but hey — I paid $ 15 dollars for it and a bunch of other things. The meal exceeded my expectations given the price. The shrimp were great. I stole a scallop from my husband which was the show stopper of the evening. I recommend the scallops here over anything else. I’ll back up and tell you that El Pescador is a open air, no frills restaurant. It has three«walls» and it opens up onto the street. I say«walls» because they are kind of tatch-like. While we were waiting for our food I sipped my margarita at our fold up table and watched the dusty air waft in and out of said«walls». It’s nothin’ fancy but its solid food with lots of locals, they know what’s up. My margarita was good, stiff and the beers were ice cold. It’s even thing you need at a low price and they even have free wi-fi!
