We tried two breakfast buffets and a dinner on Christmas eve. The food was delicious but the service is near nonexistent. They just do not have the capacity to provide decent service. They are severely lacking in employees so our three visits here was very disappointing. We never saw the waiter and were ignored most of the time while they waiter’s were running around with their heads chopped off and out of breath. Please hire more employees to provide the kind of service that is expected at a beautiful resort like the Grand Solmar.

Great restaurant! Ordered the Rack of Lamb which was cooked to perfection. Appetizers were excellent. Beautiful view and service(Thanks German).

Worth checking out for dinner! The goat cheese salad and chicken barbacoa were excellent! Our waiter could’ve had a better personality but he got the job done I’d return

Views of the beach are great and since we went in August the cool air was much welcomed. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. Food was great but very small portions.

We went to La Roca for the last night of our honeymoon and are SO glad that we did. The service was excellent, the view was amazing, and the food incredibly delicious. They were very attentive to food allergies and adjusted several of the courses in their 6 course tasting menu to fit our needs. We will be back.

Service slow and confused. Great ambiance. Food was good. Maybe a little too much emphasis on presentation and not enough on flavors. Seem like chef has been watching too many cooking shows or reading fancy cookbooks with regards to plate presentation.

The service is great. The view is even better, but the food is not good at all. All of my food was cold and the Lobster bisque was not good. I also ordered seafood fettuccine which would have been a lot better if it were hot. For a 5 star resort like Grande Solmar I was expecting a 5 star restaurant. I will not go back.

We experienced the breakfast buffet and service daily during our stay in May 2015. I took three of my friends who had never been to Cabo, let alone Grand Solmar! Ruby had a smile every morning and Jose and all the servers were eager to please! Mimosas and/or Bloody Marys were enjoyed by most of us each day! My friends were most impressed with the friendliness of the staff as well as all the other guests they encountered. Construction was happening, but has to be done. Hoping all goes well for those working so hard to get everything back to normal after the hurricane last year!

This is one of the main restaurants at the Grand Solmar Resort. For an amazing ocean view, it doesn’t get any better than this. For delicious and interesting dishes, it also doesn’t get any better than this! Service is also pretty good too(keeping in mind that you are on vacation, so if you relax a little from your usual SOP, you should be fine.). The bummer is that they do close at 10 p.m., and so we missed out on dinner here on our first night due to some mishaps at check in. It is a little bit pricier than restaurants in town, but not by much, and the view/location is so worth it. We had a wonderful dinner here on our second night– roasted tomato and watermelon salad, sea bass in a delicious mole type sauce, chicken barbacoa, and a marscapone cheese dessert in berry compote. Heavenly! Today, we had lunch — lime soup with chicken, portobello mushroom salad, grilled chicken, and a whole grilled snapper. Delicious and generous portions– we have leftovers to make ourselves«dang quesadillas» and ceviche for dinner tonight! I forgot to mention mojitos — watermelon and ginger. Yum!
