Our best meal in Sayulita, and by far the cheapest! BYOB(there’s an OXXO across the street), and if you stick around long enough, one of the two street-side tables will open up. The al pastor tacos are amazingly good. We each started with two tacos and then everyone ended up with a round of two more, not because we were hungry, but just because they were so incredibly delicious. Everyone here is super nice. Don’t make our mistake and look for this place during the day, as it’s a strictly evening operation. And to round out a perfect meal, walk across the street to the churro truck.

My favorite stop! I look so forward to going back to sayulita and tacos el Ivan! Everyone is so friendly and you’ll crave the tacos till you can go back for more. I recommend doing a taco tour all around town.

I had read the reviews before our trip and decided I needed to try these pastor tacos. When we arrived in Sayulita, we found out we could ask for Ivan to come to our house for a private catering. So, we did, and it was AMAZING!!! Two people came(one was Ivan and the other was his sous chef), with the kebab spit & everything we would need to feed 20 people(we’re a big party) and cooked it all up to order. We ate all we could eat and it was perfect! The meat was so flavorful and the grilled pineapple was such a nice touch. The pricing was more than reasonable and we have even asked them to come back for another dinner before we leave in a couple weeks. Highly recommend.

This place serves up some of the the best late night eats in Sayulita — after boozing it up in one of the bars, a few of Ivan’s delicious Al Pastor tacos really hit the spot!

Just simply amazing… tacos were off the chart and I only wish they were open for lunch. The grilled pineapple was a perfect contrast to the pork. Nice people, seating off the street, byob(but our fave store is directly across — dR). A must stop in Sayulita.

Tacos al pastor cooked gyro style in the street with all the trimmings. Marinated pork with pineapple. Get at least 3 or 4. They are small. Good, clean and cheap.

Perhaps the most famous taco stand in Sayulita? The tacos al pastor really are quite good, though I don’t know that I would be writing home with such enthusiasm. While the tacos are super-cheap, the portions are super-small, and they aren’t better than what you can get at Tacos el Gordo in the San Diego/Tijuana metro area.

When it comes to the Al Pastor taco, this place is KILLIN’ IT!!! Slow roasted pork is awaiting your arrival. The kicker on these is the roasted pineapple that they slice off for you. Such a great touch. Load up on salsas at the bar, grab a seat in the street and enjoy… then wash, rinse and repeat. This one should be visited multiple times! I think each taco is like 13 pesos or something. No brainer!

Grab a seat and be ready to eat. They specialize in Tacos al Pastor which are an amazing offshoot of shawarma but with pork. Layers upon layers of thinly sliced pork cooked to perfection by rotating around fire… Yum fire! fuego! You sit on the street in a plastic chair and just say the number you want, I go with tres or quatro. Quickly they are back, and then you take your plate up to the salsa bar to add your condiments; onions and habanero, amazing salsas, cucumbers and radishes on the side, and of course limes. The price is also incredibly low and the locals all eat here too… $ 10 pesos a taco. They do make other things but to me this is some of my favorite Al Pastor anywhere. They open at 6pm usually and run very late — until the meat is gone, and of course you bring your own booze. Puerco + Fuego = delicious!

Perfection. The perfect al pastor taco(get it with the works) and at the perfect price. My wife and I had 10 of these with all the extra bells and whistles and it came to 120 pesos(basically a buck a taco). Delicious! These aren’t oh my put them on the cooking channel gourmet. They are just very good value, really fresh and better than any other taco that I’ve had in Sayulita.
