Servicio muy lento, sus precios no están de acorde a la calidad, la comida no me hizo sentir feliz!

Stopped by this place for lunch. We were told to take any table. We did, got menus and then proceeded to wait for a while until one of the couple of the servers(apparently not doing much) decided to take our order. Ordered a rib steak burrito and a pineapple pork burrito. The kitchen is open to the restaurant and so you can smell the food as it’s cooking. It smelled really good. There were a few people in the place and we saw a table get served and then the place cleared out. So ourselves and another couple were left. Then we waited. Thankfully they have free wifi there. After about a 20 minute wait, our food finally came out, but seemingly long after the cooking had been done. The burritos were very good, but the wait seemed extraordinary long. Other than the long wait, the food was very good and would go back as it may have been a blip in service.

Great California style mex burritos! Coming from Southern California I was pretty disappointed by the Mexican food in Tulum. Most resorts were overpriced & mediocre and the local spots weren’t anything special. Then we found Burrito Amor. Loved the Al Pastor, & Machaca BFest burit. Definitely go for grande, as the regular are little a small unless you get 2. I ate there about 3 – 4 times in a week. Breakfast burritos are awesome, fresh juices real good too. I even tried the Chia pudding and it was great. Basically this place is a savior in a strange food drought of Tulum. Service was pleasant and the atmosphere is very well designed.

Ok, first of all, this is NOT a local spot, this Is made for tourists. You won’t see any locals eating here. The downside to that is that you get the tourist pricing. We had a bad waiter with an attitude and that kinda ruined the experience for us. Let me just say it, the drinks(smoothies and juices) here are garbage. Definitely not worth it. Don’t make that mistake. They are watered down and poorly executed, so they come out tasting like water with a mild hint of flavor. And they are several $ for the privilege. The burritos and the accompanying sauces are actually pretty darn good. They aren’t big, think a third the size of Chipotle, or a normal burrito. BUT the ingredients and preparation are good. They are over priced for what they are. You are paying for the faux rustic appeal and to be a tourist.

Great smoothies and juices. No sugar, interesting flavor combinations. The grilled burritos, and simple /pure ingredients help burrito amore stand out from the crowd

The burritos are made with good quality ingredients, although my shrimp burrito was a little more oily than my preference. The burritos aren’t the cheapest for the size you get. The beef tacos are better than the shrimp. The blanco sauce was amazing!

One of the best burritos I’ve ever had. Our waiter was also super friendly, and very attentive, explaining the menu and the 4 salsas that came with the burritos. Despite being a walk-up on the main strip in Tulum, we really liked the ambiance and décor of the place. I ordered the fish burrito which came filled with some red pepper, rice, and a sauce. The fish tasted super fresh and perfectly cooked, and the burrito was soo warm and filling, and the rosa sauce tasted amazing with it. My boyfriend got the rib eye burrito and it was equally amazing, filled with perfectly seasoned vegetables. We loved the free popcorn before the meal, and ordered a coconut macaroon for dessert that we quickly devoured. My boyfriend also really appreciated the day-long coffee service and said it tasted very fresh. Overall, I think the price for our meal was about 300 pesos. We would absolutely recommend Burrito Amor!

Casual ambience, friendly service and tasty burritos. This place was an enjoyable stop on our trip to Tulum and he ruins nearby. The sauces are amazing, try them all! About $ 230 pesos for two burritos and two juices.

This spot is appropriately named because you may literally fall in love with your burrito after you taste it. The food, customer service, and atmosphere here are extraordinary here. We visited for breakfast on two occasions, both were equally as enjoyable. I knocked down a steak and a shrimp burrito on my visits. Both were perfectly cooked and wrapped. There is good coffee, fresh juice, and coconut water on offer in addition to their impressive line up of gourmet burritos. The table sauces are what may have you coming back. For more. Try them all… but beware the habanero if you aren’t into spicy.

Do Tulum locals regularly eat burritos? I’m not sure. But this West Coast gal was happy to see a place devoted to one of my favorite foods. I got a breakfast burrito with egg, cheese, and spinach, and I loved it. Though it didn’t look huge in size, it was so hearty that I could only get through half of it. I liked that the burrito was slightly grilled on the outside. And the best part was the amazing assortment of sauces they provided. I wish I could have brought home a bottle of the salsa rosa, the most perfect creamy spicy blend that went so perfectly with the burritos. Other than the burritos, we had some fresh coconut water and a vanilla tapioca with toasted coconut on top, and both were just average. The burritos are where it’s at.

This is the most delicious burrito I’ve ever ate. It was wonderful tasty and good. It’s a small place but good one, the atmosphere is good the waiters and stuff was very kindly. The food is not prepared in advance and they prepare it the minute you order right on spot so it’s fresh.

This place is beyond amazing. I had researched all the best places to eat in Tulum and so we were hesitant in going here because it wasnt on my list. I dont know how b/c it was the best burrito I have ever had in my entire life. And dont get my husband started — he is obsessed. Super fresh ingredients, great service… great coffee too! We came for breakfast and lunch without shame.

The best burrito I’ve had in my life, bar none. I had the Grande Eye Fillet Burrito and my girlfriend had the Chicken Breast Burrito, both outstanding! Not one to traditionally write reviews, however this place is a must in Tulum, especially for a quick /casual lunch. There’s no liquor license, noting it’s very new(opened in Jan), however the non-alcoholic beverages(think Horchata) are delicious. Finally, the shop front is ultra modern and perfect for those staying in downtown Tulum. Dine al fresco with a beautiful breeze and really friendly staff. A must!

Incredible huevos con machaca burrito, great homemade drinks and juices, and amazing homemade salsas. Free Wifi, Free popcorn with your meai, food music and décor. 5 stars. Be weary of Unilocal location; Burrito Amor is located on the strip in downtown Tulum near the end of the strip on southeast side of the street.

Amazing friendly people. Explains you all about their food and it is origin Mexican. This place is a must to go as the prices are good and not like all the other overpriced restaurants in town. Prefer to go to places like this. Chicken burrito was delicious.

The family was hot and tired after a horrible timeshare presentation that we barely escaped, so we headed down to Tulum. We stopped in here to change a diaper and decided to stay and eat the food while we were waiting. The lady running it was very nice and accommodated my multiple orders, as my kids couldn’t make up their mind on what to get. We ended up getting almost one of everything. The coconut and coriander sauce is unlike anything I’ve ever tasted. The burrito is slightly salty for my American tastes, but very good nonetheless.

This place is just as awesome as it looks. It stands out from the crowd with it’s modern and minimalist design on the main street. My friends and I made it a point to ourselves we would have a meal here prior to leaving based on looks alone as we biked past our first day in Tulum. Our waitress was spectacular — she brought out popcorn topped with a flavorful spice mix while we waited and was so happy to answer any questions, and without prompting, explained to us the ingredients in each of the 4 house-made sauces(we love condiments & appreciated this). She even packed a small container of each of the four along with the to-go burrito we ordered for our friend who had a littttttle too much fun the night prior to actually make it out with us ;) Here, I was happy to learn what the spinach like green chaya was and really enjoyed the lemon-chaya drink I ended up ordering. The fresh & flavorful burritos were on point(mmm, that tortilla even) & the baby pumpkin salad was honestly like nothing I’ve ever tasted in a good way. I even took a picture of the salad ingredients(black beans, baby pumpkin, beetroot, poblano pepper, toasted pumpkin seed, tequila & jamaica dressing) so I can try to recreate it at home and be reminded of my experience at Burrito Amor!

After arriving in Tulum late in the afternoon on a Saturday, Burrito Amor stood out to us immediately as we drove to our lodge. Located closer to the end of the town strip, it’s open for lunch and dinner and has an immediately inviting feel. The restaurant is open to the fresh air with lots of bar seating facing out and many old wooden spools converted into tabletops. Beautiful lighting and a well designed logo draw in a variety of patrons. Set up like a typical western restaurant, once you choose a seat a waiter will come to your table and take your order. Unfortunately, after being opened for a month now, Burrito Amor is still waiting on their liquor license, however they do have four fresh juices to choose from: an unsweetened lemonade with chaya which I choose, tart and refreshing after a long day. The menu is diverse in the categories of salads and burritos, but if you’re not in the mood for those you should look elsewhere. I had the smoked pork burrito as well as tried the shrimp burrito and a coconut chicken salad. While I really enjoyed the burritos, the grilled shrimp was my favorite but the salad actually stood out by far above everything else. A mixture of cabbage, chicken and a spicy coconut flavored dressing, delicious! They had one dessert available, a dense macaroon tasting treat. Expect to pay 120 pesos per entrée and add a couple dollars per add-ons. We had kids with us and they were able to accommodate us by creating a personalized burrito for each which was very convenient. They also have to go meals if you’re looking to take something home. Great service and overall an enjoyable experience. They’ll be having a grand opening party when they get their liquor license, so be on the lookout on their Facebook page.
