My favourite roast shop in Auckland. Hands down. And the three things that do it? Fresh crackling that is perfect, hot crispy potatoes and excellent prices. There’s not much more to say other than I’m sad they are closed on Monday.

Roast pork, beef, lamb or chicken. Who doesn’t love a good roast? Meadowbank Roast is so damn good, with very generous portions of quality food. The medium size roast meat and vegetables combo is too much for me to eat in one go; have to save some of it for leftover breakfast/lunch.
This place is generally pretty busy when I come in for a meal, or when I’m driving past, and the meals are great value so I am not surprised. It cracks me up what some people order from here though. While I was waiting for my dinner, two separate customers came in who wanted only a few potatoes. Maybe it’s just me that finds this funny, but I had a little chuckle to myself.

If you’re after food in a hurry and you don’t want your usual Macca’s or pizza, head on down to Meadowbank and try Meadowbank Roast. They have a large selection of your traditional roast meal favourites. Roast chicken, roast beef, roast lamb, pork belly! They have baked potatoes and traditional roast veges, along with copious amounts of gravy! It’s delicious! You can never go past a good Sunday night roast. The meals come in three different sizes, perfect if you’re not to sure how hungry you are, or only wanting a small bite to eat.
There is front of store parking along St Johns Road, or you may find parking around the corner on Meadowbank road, opposite the BP gas station.
