As a huge fan of cheesecakes, I tried so many different types of cheesecake in every county I visited and every bakery, café I went into. This is the first cheesecake I had in auckland, but it was great. Creamy and firm, can’t make more praise. The best thing that the cheesecake had been add pitaya seeds, maybe it is, I m not not very sure, that’s what I ve never had before, and the seeds brought special fruit flavor into the cake. What can I say? Thanks I can find a bakery like this.

I can still remember the first time someone went on a Pandoro run and came back with chocolate buns. I was entranced: chocolate AND bread? What sort of mad genius had come up with this idea? The good news is that you can still purchase these at Pandoro, and they are still very good. The bad news is that I often feel a little bit underwhelmed by their other options: not necessarily because they are bad, but because of the prices they charge, they should be much better than just OK. The bread here is good, and probably the highlight; I’m a particular fan of the five-seed loaf. Get in early though as the bread tends to sell out early.

Amazing food here. It never feels like a chain bakery — the food is always too good. Freshly baked, I know that for a fact, I used to have a flatmate who worked there are she would bring home all the food that did not sell. Their pies are amazing, gourmet fillings with flakey, buttery pastry. Pandoros is basically the perfect way to begin a Sunday, there is something indulgent yet wholesome about the food there. The brioche loaf. If you have not tried the brioche loaf it is time to do yourself a favour. It is some kind of splice between normal bread and a croissant. It requires minimal toasting, it can easily burn due to its delicate amazeballsness.

Not all bread is equal and Pandoro’s is definitely a slice above the rest. I came here in particular a lot during my last year of uni for early morning poppy seed bagels and the coffee at this Pandoro is Allpress so a good way to start the day. My favourite carbohydrate offering of theirs is the sourdough seeded baguette is amazing, crusty but not too crusty and the density and flavour of the sourdough is incredible. Pandoro also make cute little dinner rolls and mini loaves, the 5 grain mini loaf is very nice, sliced you can have miniature toast! The Normandy Rye is pretty spectacular too. The guys who work here are fantastic, always really friendly. If you’re in central city this is the best place to come for bread, fresh bread from the supermarket bakery is not the same, I wouldn’t buy it. You’re better to pay the extra and get proper bread made from real ingredients without the ‘may contain traces of milk, fish and nut products’. Gross. Pandoro make wonderful breads of fantastic quality that taste great, grab yourself some dipping oils and dukkah

I use to come to the branch in Parnell on a Saturday morning for some piping fresh bread for breakfast. The smell of fresh bread is gorgeous from this place and the quality of whats on offer is also really good. I always get a crusty baguette and some almond croissants. The baguette is lovely just served with butter and the croissants are rich with that lovely sweet filling. I live in Te Atatu and you can’t really get good fresh bread around here — they have a bakery in Countdown but it’s crap and not a patch on this place. I really miss shops like this on Saturday morning and it makes me wonder why I still live in Te Atatu. It would be unlikely that Pandoro would open a branch in West Auckland but if they did, I would certainly go to it.

Home of a damn good caramel slice and chicken roll. Ingredients are fresh and when you take your first bite you know that the food was made with a lot of love! The first time I went to Pandora was for a treat during my break at work, I decided to have the caramel slice. When I looked at it, it didn’t look like the usually caramel slice thats dripping in caramel and chocolate but it looked more wholesome. I ordered the slice and took a seat, oh my goodness it was absolutely delicious. It wasn’t sickeningly sweet and the fact that it looked wholesome and organic meant I could enjoy it without feeling guilty!
