It was a hot day and I had spent the night out in the city so I decided to stop by for a quick pick me up. Full disclosure I am not a coffee drinker and will drink about 3 cups of coffee a year. I walked in and was greeted with the cold AC, strong smell of coffee brewing, and big smiles from the staff. They offered me a small plate with grounded beans so I could fall in love with the aroma. I asked for an iced coffee and it was delicious with bold flavors that were unique.

One of the better lattes and espresso we’ve had while in Puerto Rico. Very warm and welcoming. The building is beautiful. I got a 12oz latte«medium». I’d get it «strong» next time, but I think medium would be perfect for many latte drinkers.

The best espresso I have had in a long time. Very nice, non touristy place. Simple food, cakes, muffins, sandwiches. Very nice atmosphere and friendly hosts.

Somebody mentioned they had great sandwiches so I decided to pay them a visit. The only choices were chorizo or ham for the day. Chorizo sounded too strong so I went with the ham. So hard to get exited about ham. The bread was good(sobao), slightly sweet. Orange juice was good. Nice server. Pleasant space.

Some of the best iced coffee I have had in my life. Went here several time during my stay to get my morning coffee. Tied with Bad Ass Coffee for best iced coffee in San Juan in my book.

Very confused and disappointed by our visit. We stopped by after seeing the five star rating. I asked for an iced latte slightly sweet and I got a crazy sweet and syrup-y gritty mess that I had to throw away. My husband got a regular iced coffee and was equally disappointed. Maybe the hot drinks are five star worthy, but I honestly feel as though my two star rating is too generous. The drinks were also like $ 6-$ 7 each.

All iced drinks only come in the 16oz size. I got an Americano and it ended up being $ 6. A bit pricy for just espresso and water. Nice space though.

I was looking for good coffee in San Juan Viejo and the Unilocal reviews did not let me down. The coffee was great and the service was good too. We had a latte and an iced latte. There were plenty of seats inside to enjoy your coffee or you can take it to go. For«curtains» they have burlap coffee sacks, which I thought was clever and adorable.

Excellent Coffee. I can’t say that I’ve had any better and the corn meal muffins were amazing, not dry, not too sweet, not too big or small.

Just got into Old San Juan for a week vacation. Read good things about this place and it having the best coffee on the island. Overall, decent coffee for a steep price. I wasn’t impressed with the remainder of their menu and wish they had a wider selection of breakfast foods to offer. I’d recommend it for a quick coffee to go, but nothing more. They have AC though which can be a nice break from the humidity too.

This is a very convenient spot for excellent and reasonably-priced coffee. You can also get cheap breakfast and lunch — i.e., breakfast parfaits, croissants, and sandwiches. My only issue is it takes forever if you order any food. It took 10 – 15 minutes for a yogurt parfait(it was pre-made in the fridge in a plastic container) and a croissant — they literally just toasted the croissant. We’d been trying to grab a quick bite before heading to the beach and we might as well have gone someplace nicer for the amount of time it took to get our food. Great sport for a quick coffee or perhaps to spend time relaxing and reading.

Whoa my iced coffee was one of the best coffee in the southeast USA. They made my coffee very carefully. Impressive! And the environment was nice, a little packed. Be prepared if you cannot be able to find empty seats.

Coffee is great and we love that it is open so early(7:30am!). Only complaints we have are:(1) no wi-fi and(2) extra fee for flavored drinks are not advertised on the board. Regarding the latter, I had to talk to the cashier if my bill was calculated correctly before finding out that there is an extra 50-cent charge for flavors. Fortunately, the lady was super nice about it and did own up to the misunderstanding. She also noted that she will be writing the extra charge on the boards to inform future customers. Other than that, the coffee was superb!

Wonderful coffee in old San Juan. They grow and roast their own beans from ciales. The pastries are fresh and tasty. Very friendly staff.

Honestly, the best latte I’ve ever had. Their special banana hazelnut coffee smoothie was good, but I was more impressed by their coffee! Many locals popped in and offered their praises about the café, and the place has a general local cool vibe to it. It’s local Puerto Rican coffee; pictures were all on a wall of the owner’s homegrown and bean roasting process!

Found this place walking up to El Morro – the smell of the coffee was heavenly! Stopped back later for a macchiato, two fruit smoothies, and a chocolate cupcake. Nice, low key place. Music was in the background, not taking over the atmosphere.

Simplicity at it’s best! I’ve come in before to try their amazing coffee but today I wanted something a little more refreshing so I got the freshly made mango and strawberry smoothie. Hands down the best smoothie I’ve ever had. Nice and rich and exactly What I was looking for! There’s no wifi so take some time to disconnect and enjoy the coffee. The service is amazing and the company even better. I love everything about this small yet generous at heart coffee shop. If you want to enjoy some tranquility in the heart of old San Juan, don’t miss the chance to stop by! You will not be disappointed!
