Had a few beers here on a Thursday afternoon; place was largely empty at the time. + Bartender was friendly and accommodating + We sampled a few of the brews before committing to pints + Settled on the Oktoberfest and Helles Lager — both were decent + Prices were fair($ 6/pint + Tax) We liked the space and appreciated what they’re doing here. I’m a died-in-the-wool beer aficionado; these weren’t bad.

Beast grilled Grouper in my salad. IPA was real good also. And, the watermelon ale was surprisingly good.

This was one of the worst places I have been to in Puerto Rico. We arrived at 6:00pm and ordered two beers and a beer dip. While the beers were fairly good(asides from the very flat one), the beer dip arrived at 7:15pm. Keep in mind, when we arrived and placed the order, there were four other patrons in the place. It didn’t fill up until nearly 6:45. The bartender left four different times to see if our dip was prepared. Not to mention, I sat in front of dirty dishes my entire time here. Keep in mind, The bartender was extremely nice and apologetic. However, the dip came out and was not mixed at all. It was like eating chunks of cold Philadelphia cream cheese with hot pita chips. I would certainly never return. After the awful dip and the super long wait, the bartender offered to pay for our second round. We stayed for the second round and the were charged for it followed by a ‚“Did you want to stay for that beer?” She also felt bad and offered us extra pita chips-which she charged us for. Again, I would never return.

Honestly, they didn’t even try. We waited forever for appetizers and when they came, they were ice cold. We weren’t in a hurry, but when the wait started to get out of control we decided to skip lunch. No one from the staff seemed to care, which was a tad frustrating. In the end, it was best to cut our losses at cold appetizers. Two stars for the location and the chorizo dumplings.

It’s nice to see that the San Juan area has a microbrewery. It’s a smaller place, dimly lit, a little bit dive-y. The customer service definitely left much to be desired, and I’m not sure the waitress would have been very helpful if you had questions about the actual beers. Still, you get the impression that Puerto Rico is behind the continental U.S. as far as the craft beer movement… so this is what you’d expect out of an area that’s just getting their feet wet. It’s good beer, but it’s not very experimental. You’re not going to get seasonal marshmallow-peanut-butter porters here, but you can have a flight of varied styles.
