I learned about this restaurant through the hotel on a business trip years ago. Now, I come to the hotel just for the restaurant. The atmosphere definitely brings me back to Paris. The food is exceptional. I always have the roasted chicken which doesn’t sound so special, but it is. The wine choice is good, although the I wish they had a French red by the glass. I’ve had croque madam as well. It’s a treat. The service is always personable and professional. They know their food and the menu. The hotel is not in good shape though, so I hope the restaurant clientele is not primarily coming from the MARRIOTT.

I was impressed with the appearance of the Papillon Restaurant and the food presentation but the quality and service fell short. Don’t order the potatoes unless you like a ton of paprika mixed with it. I complained but the waitress would not bring newly cooked potatoes without the spice saying that the potates are pre-mixed. What? Here’s an idea… do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. If it means cutting and cooking fresh potatoes then do it! There was no manager checking with guests at tables nor did the waitress seem to care if we liked the meal or not because she never asked. There were a lot of Americans eating there but the restaurant does not have half & half cream for coffee. Regular milk is not the same. Overall, a nice hotel. The Papillon Restaurant has great potential but needs some work.

This intimate and cozy French bistro is situated inside the umbrella of Courtyard Marriot hotel. According to the local travel guide this place is one of the prominent restaurants in the city which I truly believe based on my experience on certain different occasions. As a french restaurant they are by far the best within the area. The interior speaks by itself; very chic and elegant. I like the romantic and profound setting of the whole place, the details of the paintings and hanging ornaments are innovative and original. Part of my hotel package is a free breakfast. As far as I remember I’ve never been disappointed with the selection of breakfast menu. I love the idea of A’la carte because you know that its fresh and hot right from the kitchen. There are so many things that I love about this place but the thing that makes this place different are the variety of savory house specialties and artisanal breads. The house croissants were probably the best I’ve ever tasted. I thought it was rich, buttery, crescent-shaped roll of leavened dough and puff paste. The hospitality service is what your paying for. The staff are very professional and dedicated with the satisfaction of their customer. I like how engaging they are and ensure that the deliver they best customer service as possible. I feel like an important guest the way how the treated me. Excellent!!!

Excellent! Love everything! I had the banana macadamia pancakes. Although I didn’t feel the macadamia, they were awesome. Crispy on the outside and fluffy inside… It had some kind of creaminess to it that it didn’t need syrup. This is the The third or fourth time we visit Papillion and ordered The natural chicken which is cooked to perfection. Very tender. The fries come with a truffle mayo. Really good too. Nice ambiance…

I am staying in the Marriott here in San Juan. As such, this is my breakfast spot. Sadly, I have been sitting here for 23 minutes waiting some fruit and an English Muffin. That is far too long, especially since the place is only about 25% full.

Excellent! Went on spoon food tours and this was one of the stops. I can’t remembered what we ordered… Some sort of fried beef, mini hamburgers, champagne, duck meat balls but everything was incredible. I wish this was in New York. I’d order that need dish all the time!

We had the chance to eat at Papillon last night and what a great surprise this little restaurant is. Great wine selection and the food was spectacular. We’d definitely come again!

I was blown away at this place. Usually I stay away from hotel restaurants but having stayed at over 50 Marriott’s around the world I know what they touch turns to gold. We had dinner and brunch here. Our server Ricky and the other staff also were great. Friendly and very professional. The food was great. I had a duck dish($ 24)and was literally given half a duck. My partner had the 14 oz steak(&32))and some wine $ 15perglass)which he said were both great. At brunch we a little bit of everything that they had to offer. It’s a well kept and beautiful restaurant and the prices are not bad for the great service and atmosphere. I would highly recommend it. Ps: I put a menu up.

Unfortunately this restaurant used to be one of my favorites but not anymore. It’s overrated and the quality of the food has declined. I asked about a dish and the waiter started to give the details of the ingredients to my friend; that was absolute rudeness. The menu is the same and doesn’t change. The food is not really French, sorry.

I was really looking forward to visiting this restaurant during my stay at the Courtyard, but was honestly a bit disappointed. Let me preface this by saying that I have eaten at A LOT of French restaurants before, so I’m comparing my experience here with the other French food I’ve eaten in the past. Since I didn’t feel like dishing out too niche money, I decided to go with the Croque Monsieur. I received a free appetizer of popcorn sprinkled with truffle oil to start, and then got the Croque Monsieur(which is basically like a grilled cheese with ham added) with a side of French fries. The good overall was okay, it was just very very greasy, which isn’t very French. Sure, French food generally provides you with a carb overload, but I just felt like in this case the grease part was a bit overdone. Instead of the not so tasty French fries, a nice salad would have been a way better side (if of course not drenched in oil). So based on the prices and the reviews, I had hoped for something better. It wasn’t bad… It just wasn’t very good.

I had a quick cortadito and croissant in their comfortable bar area one morning during my stay at the Marriott. Service was excellent and friendly, food was very good. I hope to return to sample more of their menu.

This place is at the Courtyard Marriott in Miramar, and usually hotel restaurants are to stay away from, but not this place. Whether you want a romantic dinner, something more for business, or just to get something good to eat, this place is great for it all. Start off with the Tuna Tartare and the mixed cheese plate. They are pretty incredible. They also have fresh Escargot, though I’m not a fan of them myself. Best dish on the menu, the burger. By far, the best burger in all of San Juan. Absolutely a fan of this place.

I ate the best sandwich of my life at Papillon– PLEASE try the croque-monsieur if you go here. It’s indescribable. I ate it really slowly because I was just wishing the sandwich would never end. They also have a great brunch sandwich that’s an egg with cheddar on an english muffin. These sound like average simple sandwiches but somehow they do something that makes them AMAZING. I ate here with a VERY picky eater friend of mine who doesn’t like anything usually and even he was raving about his food. The staff was super-nice and attentive too. LOVETHISRESTAURANT!

Delicious! It’s evident that the chef was trained in France. Event the meats are cut the French way. Slurp! The appetizers are amazing. Entrees won’t leave you short either! Save room for a good wine!

Best brunch I’ve had on the island. Everyone at my table was pleased with their meals as well as the mimosas and popcorn with truffle oil starter. Prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is cozy and elegant. I can’t wait to return to try the dinner menu.
