Loved this hotel during my first stay back in 2009, but I have to say that it is even much better now that the renovation were completely done. The spectacular lobby is a must see and the room we had was large with a beautiful view of the lake. Attention to the details and comfort are the words to describe the general. The staff is very welcoming and always ready to help. A special note on the room service that offers excellent food in a record time.(Price tag matching the quality) Bus service is available just out the entrance and takes you to the city center– train station –airport in no time.

Great hotel. Great rooms. The staff, from the concierge to the check in to the bar, were fantastic. If you’ve got the money, this is the place. This hotel is situated about 1.5 miles from the Geneva airport. I know because we walked it.(another story, another time). So, we entered here a little bit on the stressed side. Somehow, the hotel calmed me down. It has that«don’t worry, we’ve got it covered» look about it. The check in staff at registration desk were excellent… quick, responsive to questions, and a can-do attitude. Now, the first thing that enters my mind when I think of this hotel is «great hotel, great staff». The second thing is «wow, what a price». The rooms are not cheap, but ours was perfect with a great view. It was what I would call a «wrap around» room. The entrance and bathroom are situated as you come in and then you walk around a divider and the bed, desk, and chairs are on the other side. We ate in the lounge area(bar) set up as a library room and had some of the best specialty drinks we’ve ever had. We ordered the hamburgers with fries and an appetizer… The dipping sauce for the fries was great. The hamburgers were great. The price: out of this world. So, bottom line, great food, great price. Would I go back: sure. By the way, there is a bus stop right out on the side across the street that will take you to the airport. It’s getting from the airport that we had a problem.

Like all InterContinental Hotels the service here is top notch. Besides the service what stands out is the beautiful setting of this hotel — both the exterior and interior are designed to make you relax. Located adjacent to the United Nations complex it’s somewhat off the beaten path unless you have transportation. The hotel also has an outdoor heated Olympic pool for the few days when the weather permits its usage. The rooms on the other hand are a bit snug but manageable for the short-term visitor. Like most hotel rooms in Geneva it’s decorated in a modern style and is very aesthetically pleasing. What’s not so pleasing is the bathroom. While small and efficient, it lacks a few basics — like room to put ones things(i.e. shaving kit). Overall, a great hotel if you have business at the U.N. and don;t mind paying the high price.

Before moving to Geneva this was my first choice hotel and became my second home. old fashioned décor its true, but i rather liked its retro feel. In the winter the real fires in the lobby were comforting and cosy, and the restaurant offered the best filet de boeuf by any standards. The breakfast was the best ever and offered the most amazing choices whether you preferred cooked or continental. There is also a gym and an outside pool as well as a clarins spa. Really you cant go wrong staying here because its near the airport and taxis are always available to this hotel. Plus the staff are super helpful. close by is Petit Saconnex a sweet village to enjoy.
