Nice spot to sit in the summer on the outside terrace to have a burger, ‘frites’ and an artisanal beer. OK as well in the winter but it can get a bit crowded and noisy. Very nice burgers(though somehow not quite as big or satisfying as their main competitor Holy Cow), a great selection of craft beers(had my first white IPA here and it was amazing), and hands-down the BEST French fries in town. So, so good! In the end it’s a toss-up between Holy Cow and Zoo Burger: better HC if you’re only about the burger, ZB if you dream of fries, ZB in the summer for the terrace or in the winter if you don’t want to sit at a communal table and you don’t mind having to wait. Or whichever one you’re closest to. Both of them are worth it.

Au debut toujours bon, mais dernierement de plus en plus decevant. Les dernieres fois le burguer etait froid et le service pas impressionant. Avant un de meilleures burguers de Lausanne, aujourd’hui plus vraiment. Dommage

First of all here’s the disclaimer. I’m vegetarian, so I have only had the veggie options –and they are fantastic. I’ve ordered a lot of veggie burgers over the years(from all over the world) and these are the best I’ve had. They are so good, I ‘be gone there two days in a row. I’m not the only one who thinks these burgers are amazing which is why Zoo Burger is packed. If you want to sit down and enjoy your burger, you need to reserve in advance. But fear not. Pin Up Bar next door will let you sit in their venue and eat your burger. This gives you the best of both worlds as Pin Up Bar has a more extensive wine and beer list and you get to eat you meal without being squished. Bonus!

Many people are talking about it serving the«best burgers in town» so we decided to give it a try! My boyfriend and I are both vegetarians, so I was happy to see the numerous choices on the menu, that’s a good point! However, the one I ordered(Bernardo) was way too squishy. Everything was too soft and almost tasteless because of it(except for the spicy sauce… Not being a spicy gal, I really wasn’t impressed). My boyfriend was ok with his(he’s might not be as picky as I am haha) so he ended up eating both burgers… Also the coke I got wasn’t bubbly anymore(or was it a goddam Pepsi!!!) For 4.30 each glass… A bit disappointed overall. Good point for the homemade fries though!

Next time: tester le brunch !

Best burger in town. Get the mafioso or the brain burger. Small place better book a table or order it and eat it at the bar next door.

Finally was able to check this place out at lunch time yesterday, after hearing so much about it. There are not many burger places between Geneva and Lausanne, and those living here have very strong opinions regarding which grills up the best patty. This location is often argued to be one of the best. The location is easy, just a few steps away from the Ours Lausanne metro stop. The place itself is tiny and they squeeze as many seats in as possible. You can make reservations for a table if you call in advance. If you are more than one person, I would definitely recommend it. The menu is simply burgers — beef, chicken, fish, veggie. You have a choice for an additional cost of adding a side of salad or fries. There are also a few dessert choices, but I didn’t see anyone get any, probably because there is no room left after packing away the burger. While you can order to take away, not all the burgers are available for that option. I ordered the Marius burger with frites. The salad looked fantastic as well, but I had to try the infamous frites. Everything was delicious, and the fries definitely lived up to their reputation. I still think for overall quality the burger bun at Rando Burger is better. Putting this burger place as my new second favourite for the area, closely followed by Inglewood as third. I had no complaints regarding the service. Also, be sure to end your meal with an espresso! One of my highlights was receiving my espresso in a Victorian tea cup, with a bite size nibble of their homemade brownie resting along side of it. Very cool. Plus, the coffee was good! Unfortunately, like most places, Zoo is only open Monday — Saturday. Interestingly, they are open for food 11:30 am– 10:00pm. But, per their website for drinks only they remain open until 12:00pm.

Nice little burger joint. The muchacho burger was very good. Great fries too. If I am back in Lausanne, I will grab another.
