REALLYSPICY larb. Jeez, we were sweating like madmen trying to finish the whole dish but ultimately took about 1⁄3 home. These chillies are no joke! The thai basil beef I got was also extremely spicy but I enjoyed the perfect seasoning – right amount of fish sauce, lots of basil and garlic, so delicious. The beef could be better quality but I was happy to finally have some non-sausages/cordon-bleu in Zurich. Although Zurich prices still apply, this restaurant is very casual. There were 3 young girls working at the time who were all sweet and attentive. They accept credit cards and they all speak Thai, German and English(and maybe some other languages!). It’s white table cloth as usual but I will be back for the authentic food! About 50CHF for two people if you don’t order alcohol. Most restaurants in Zurich don’t do much for those looking for aesthetically pleasing or interesting interior design so this restaurant is no exception, but I thought the food was very authentic and down-to-earth so I will def be back. I like my food to be from the heart!

I am a bit torn… The devil on my left shoulder is telling me to rate this restaurant with 2 stars so that no one will ever hog up the tables at this hidden treasure restaurant right off Langstrasse. It will then remain sort of undiscovered, muhahahaha(evil laugh). The angel on my right shoulder is telling me to do the right thing, and do the owners who have treated me well right. I succumb to goodness. Evil loses, once again. I have a few favorite Thai restaurants, but I secretly(maybe not so much anymore since it’s on Unilocal now) like this one a tad more. It’s a nice, cozy family owned restaurant that is right off Langstrasse. The interior décor is modestly decorated with Thai artwork. The food is very much strictly Thai and the menu is so varied you could risk sitting there feeling frustrated as you don’t know what to get because almost everything looks good and your stomach/body/wallet is screaming at you to only order one. So go with a group if you can… Sharing is caring. The curries, stir fry(I love the basil beef), noodle dishes, etc are all great. The portions are pretty good too, they are somewhat larger(and equally or even tastier) than many of the other Thai/Chinese restaurants here in Zurich. Report card: Location: good. short walk from Helvetiaplatz(tram 8). 1 street away from Hooters. Even better, a nice bar named Dante is at the next corner here. Food: Tasty!!! Huge variety. You may need someone else to decide for you if you are the washy washy type. Service: very nice. Family owned. When they serve you rice, it is served with actual love.(Literally, the rice is served in a heart shape)
