This hotel has a poolside outdoor restaurant which is shaded by high walls and trees. I think they serve breakfast there for the hotel guests in the mornings which must be lovely. Its open to the general public in the evenings. Some of my friends recommended El Xalet so we strolled in at ten o clock one evening. It was about half full so we were seated promptly. They have a lovely Menu Del Dia which costs around € 21 per person and includes a starter, Mains, dessert, bread and water or wine. Its fantastic value. I had the salmon tartare to start, seared tuna for mains and strawberry pannacotta for dessert and everything was perfect. We drank a very agreeable rose wine. We all enjoyed our meals. I loved my friends squid appetiser– I will try this next time. The service was friendly and fairly quick so no issues there. We were the last table at midnight although one other table had moved to the bar. I would recommend El Xalet as a good value relaxing place to eat. The setting is lovely. I always though the white plastic chairs looked cheap when I used to walk by. However they are very comfortable and look fine when you are sitting down.
