Avila Mercantile

Basically your only option for beer, water, wine or snacks out here… So they’ll charge you about double the normal price at a typical grocery store for some items.
But, at least they’re here! So I’ll keep visiting when I forget to buy items in town before making the drive to Avila.

I can’t believe there are no other reviews for this place. We stopped by to check out the boardwalk at this interesting little beach town. We were camping at an RV resort in Pismo Beach and thought we would take a short drive to Avila Beach with our Labradors.
So, we were looking for a dog friendly place to have lunch. Although there are several fine looking places to eat, this place worked for us. They have a few tables out front and the water dish outside is a sure sign that they like dogs.
The menu hade several interesting items. We ordered the seared Ahi salad and a grilled chicken salad. Both were very good. Sitting outside looking at the beach, how bad could that be?
This is a nice place with friendly folks. Check it out, I think you will like it!
