Good beer selection. The place has a weird vibe. I think because it is very large and not very many people in it. The food menu is super limited. I ordered the hot dog. It was cold, sloppy and the cheap bun fell apart less than halfway through. There are much better options out there for good food and good beer.

This spot has a lot of potential. They’ve got the beer and the service down, but the food needs help. Inside is a layout with both booths and tables. This place is huge. Tons of TVs for viewing. Even an outdoor projector and tables outside on their back patio for events like UFC, which is what I was here for. And yes, that’s right, I’m a chick that likes UFC :) The vibe is relaxed and friendly throughout. There is something like 40 different beers on tap and they rotate. Bartender was great — I told him what I was in the mood for and he matched me up with an Irish red that hit the spot. Even though they were busy, we never had to wait long to get a drink. Service to the outside area was also prompt. For Fight Night they also offered $ 3 tall can specials and discounts on food, much like their weekly Happy Hour(M-F 3 till 7). The food, however, was simply not good. Bar food can be so much better than what we were served. It was lukewarm at best and completely lacked flavor. Such a disappointment! Considering that you’ve got Buffalo Wild Wings across the street, Alley Katz needs to really rethink what they are sending out of the kitchen if they are going to be successful. I hope they work the kinks out and plan on trying them again in the spring.

Poor service, bad attitudes, very limited food selection, cold and dirty. Broken video games, sticky bar top. Great beer selection and plenty of parking.

This place was terrible. The servers were rude and they barely took our orders. Everything about this place was terrible. I normally like this kind of place, especially when it comes to games and trivia, but the staff’s rudeness just made it a bad experience. Considering there are so many other good bars in Sacramento, you should go somewhere else.

Do not use to eat lunch or dinner. They only have four or five items on menu. They have no deep fryer or cook food. Tables were dirty. Bartender was very short with answers but nice

Came here for my birthday and to watch the recent UFC fight. We had a great time! I would have given 5 stars but they ran out of the cider we were drinking and then the cucumber vodka we wanted to try. It was a very busy night! They only had one waitress on staff for a bit but I guess they wrangled up another one and the drinks started to come quicker. Prior to the night I called 3 different times asking if we needed to make reservations or a booth, each time I was told no, «JUSTCOMEONIN» However my girlfriend told me their Facebook page said to reserve a booth. So I popped in one night after the gym. Seemed by that time everything had been reserved! I think that should have been make a bit more clear… The food is frozen bar food so eat before you go. Overall, a great place for drinks, they have a ton of games, no cover for UFC fights! Definitely a winner!

This is a really great bar… the bartenders are awesome and the craft beers are delicious. I think the location prevents more people from knowing it is there, but it is definitely worth seeking out!

The Good: The bartender was nice. The beer selection was excellent ! The Bad: The tv’s are not all independent of each other, so they cant show all the games each on it’s own tv, or at least they couldn’t when I went. So I had to watch other teams play until their morning games were over. My game started at 1, and I missed the first quarter. BOOO ! The Ugly: Arrived at 1 pm on a Sunday(12−6−15), and three quarters of the menu was unavailable. They had nothing with pork or beef, just like 3 chicken items. Not sure if this was really poor planning, food spoilage, or what, but, it really dampened my enthusiasm for coming back. Overall: 2 stars because of the excellent beer choices, and the friendly staff. Probably won’t give them a second chance.

THEBEST beer selection in Sacramento — so much good beer! The food has been ok, getting better.(But the beer is the real star.) They have trivia on Tuesdays and an expanding selection of arcade games. HUGE back patio with more games in the works. I would definitely come here for trivia night or to watch a basketball game. It’s a little off the beaten path but it’s a cool spot just waiting for you to discover it.

The beer selection is huge! And almost all of it is craft or local! The hired help is friendly and the layout is perfect for football Sundays with a big group!

Great new brew pub that the area greatly needed. Large selection of beer that are very reasonably price. The bartender is friendly and made some great recommendations. We liked it so much we went back twice on the same day. The food needs some major improvement but I’m sure it will get there to be consistent with all the other brew pubs that sell amazing beer and amazing food. This is definitely a new hang out.

This new location of Alley Katz is just off Sunrise on Arcadia — a location of former dance club(s). I didn’t count the number of taps but certain there’s a few craft brews on tap that you’ll be happy to see. The beer menu scrolls on the large screen or squint to read the taps behind the bar. This is a really large space with lots of seating, a semi private booth area, and a huge outdoor patio perfect for outdoor games. Full bar liquor also available. Alley Katz is a beer place that has food. Not the place to go for food but definitely a place to go for beer. No knocks for not having a great food menu; it’s not the focus here. Happy hour is from 3:00 — 7:00 with a small selection of HH discounted food items from hummus to a chicken quesedilla or opt for the nachos, pork sliders, and more. $ 3 tall cans and $ 3 well drinks during HH too. It appeared that there is a second bar when it get busy that’s focused more on mixed drinks and cans than draft craft beer. Some coin-ops games and a pool table. I’ll visit again on a Friday or Saturday evening when I expect this place is a bit more crowded and active.

This is a hidden gem!!! Amazing atmosphere, Tvs everywhere, huge projector outside for the big UFC fights, great selection of beer, food, and games. Also they have a Human Chess Board outside!!! Amazing! Staff is great and I highly recommend this place to anyone in the Fair Oaks, Citrus Heights, Orangevale area! Will be coming back weekly for NFL Sunday!

I came to Alley Katz one weekday evening with some friends to check out the new kid in town. For anyone living in the area, you know how in desperate need we are of a brew pub that offers craft beers on tap. This is finally it! Ambiance: They were still working on bringing in some arcade games to fill the place up when I was there. There is also a large patio and a few pool tables, but most of the space is filled with empty tables and chairs. It was practically empty when I was there, so I hope they are able to fill the humongous space. Beer: Great selection of craft beers and cider on tap! I had a Blackberry Cider which was pretty good, but I noticed that they did have a great mix of different craft beer varieties(IPA, reds, sours, etc) and a few seasonal ciders. No complaints here! Food: This is where they could use some work. To compete with the brew pubs in the Sacramento and Roseville areas you need to have killer beer AND killer food. Unfortunately the food here screams«Costco». I had the Nachos which came with made in house pico de gallo(yay!), cheese and green onions over store bought chips. Boo. I also got to sample their Hummus and Pita Bread which also screamed packaged food. Ugh. Overall I would come back here again for their craft beer selection, but would stay away from the food. Which means that since I have to drink AND eat at the same time that my visits here will be short unless they revamp the menu.

So far, so good! Great beer selection and an app to go with it. Menu is limited but from the samples I had, the shrimp quesadilla promises to be fantastic. Split the pulled Pork sliders with the hubs and they were delicious. Great coleslaw as well and I’m not a coleslaw person, generally. We will definitely be back!

Review is for beer only, we didn’t have room for food. The space is great — huge, open, lots of TVs, plenty of bar games. There are about 40 beers on tap from a good variety of brewers, mostly CA and Oregon. We came for the soft opening, so it wasn’t too crowded. Definitely looking forward to checking it out after the full opening. Citrus Heights has needed a good brew pub for years now and this has the potential to be it.

So we went to the soft opening tonight. Met Bee and talked to the beertender. They have the best variety of beers I’ve seen in a while. Loads of excellent belgians, ipas, hefeweizens, even peanut butter porters and everything else you can think of. Big place with a large outdoor patio area and great ambiance. It’s on Arcadia where that beach bar used to be. If I didn’t have to get up for work I would have sampled more. La Fin Du Monde on tap tastes better than the bottle! Stop by and show some love!
